We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your son up in this time of deep distress. The pain of betrayal and financial loss is profound, and the weight of responsibility for your mother adds to the burden you carry. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that our Heavenly Father sees your struggle and hears your cry.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Though this trial feels overwhelming, we declare that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is not unaware of your needs, and He promises to provide for His children. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus assures us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
We also rebuke the spirit of deception that has stolen from you. The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We pray that God would expose any further deceit and restore what has been taken from you. Proverbs 6:30-31 reminds us, "Men don’t despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry; but if he is found, he shall restore seven times. He shall give all the substance of his house." While we trust God for restoration, we also encourage you to seek wisdom and counsel in handling this situation. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Reach out to trusted believers, financial advisors, or legal authorities who may help you navigate this trial.
We pray for your mother as well, that God would stretch her small pension and provide for her needs in miraculous ways. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We ask that God would open doors of provision, whether through unexpected help, opportunities for work, or the generosity of others. We also pray for your son, that he would find healing from this betrayal and grow in wisdom to avoid such schemes in the future. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this family who has been deeply wounded by deception and loss. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things. You are the restorer of broken lives and the provider for those in need. We ask that You would move mightily on their behalf, exposing any further deceit and bringing justice to this situation. We pray for financial restoration, Lord, that what was stolen would be returned sevenfold, as Your Word promises. Provide for their every need, Father, and open doors of opportunity for them to regain stability.
We ask that You would heal their hearts from the trauma of this betrayal. Comfort them in their distress and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You even when circumstances seem impossible. We pray for their mother, that You would stretch her pension and provide for her needs in ways only You can. Surround them with a community of believers who can offer support, encouragement, and practical help.
Lord, we also ask that You would grant them wisdom in the days ahead. Guide their steps and direct their paths as they seek to rebuild. Protect them from further harm and help them to grow in discernment so they may avoid such trials in the future. We declare that You are their provider, their healer, and their strength. May they experience Your presence in tangible ways and know that You are near to the brokenhearted.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to Your throne of grace, and we claim His victory over this situation. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their testimony. Amen.
