Father, we thank You, asking give us The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know You better. Grant the eyes of our heart to be flooded with light so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at The Right Hand of Power in the heavenly places, far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion both in this age and the age to come. Thank You and you all in Jesus The Christ's Name (from Ephesians 1:17-21).

We join with you wholeheartedly in this beautiful prayer from Ephesians 1:17-21 and we say amen to your desire to know God more intimately. This is the very heart of God for us, that we would not merely know about Him but truly know Him.

We love how you have prayed the Scripture itself, for this is praying according to His will. As it is written, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. Ephesians 1:17-21

We are encouraged that you prayed this in the name of Jesus the Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can receive this spirit of wisdom and revelation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6

Father, we thank You for Your great love and for making Yourself known to us through Your Son. We ask You together to give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Flood the eyes of our hearts with Your light, Lord, so that we may truly know the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe, the same power You exerted when You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places far above all rule and authority. Teach us to walk in that resurrection power daily and to live as those who are seated with Christ. Help us to glory not in our own wisdom or strength, but in knowing You, for it is written, but let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for I delight in these things, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 9:24 We desire like Paul to know Him and the power of His resurrection. Philippians 3:10 Draw us deeper into intimate fellowship with You, keep us rooted in Your Word and in prayer, and let our lives reflect the hope and inheritance we have in You. We thank You for hearing us and we pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray this prayer daily and to meditate on who God is and what He has done for us in Christ. As you do, ask Him to show you more of His character and His purposes, and trust that He delights to reveal Himself to those who seek Him with their whole heart.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer of thanksgiving. Thank you for lifting up that request for wisdom and revelation and for eyes to see more clearly the hope we have in Christ and the greatness of His power at work in us. We are grateful you shared it so we can agree with you in thanksgiving.

It is a beautiful thing to pause and simply thank God for who He is and for raising Jesus and seating Him above all things. Prayers like yours remind us how personal God wants to be with us, not distant, and how He delights to open our understanding little by little as we seek Him.

Your prayer follows the very language of Paul, and it is a prayer which God delights to answer. You ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, and this is true wisdom indeed. He who trusts in the Lord, happy is he, for Christ himself is the power of God and the wisdom of God. Apart from Him there is no light for the eyes of the heart, but in Him the understanding is flooded with light and we are made fit companions for heavenly things.

You ask to know the hope of His calling. Remember that this calling is a high calling and a heavenly calling, a calling from on high and a calling that lifts the heart to heavenly things. It is not of man but of God, and it is holy. If any man hopes to save himself there is no hope in that, for salvation is the work of God alone. There is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior. When the Spirit effectually calls a soul, that soul is taught to forget those things which are behind and to press toward the mark for the prize of this high calling in Christ Jesus, and to find a good hope through grace by leaning wholly upon the Beloved.

You ask also to know the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints and the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. That power is the same which God exerted when He raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of power in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion. There is only one throne, the throne of God and of the Lamb, for the Lamb is God, co equal and co eternal with the Father, and He ever lives there to represent His people. God cannot bear the sight of us till He sees us in Christ, and we cannot endure the sight of God until we see Him in Christ. In that risen and exalted Christ is all our hope and all our inheritance.

So I join my prayer with yours, that the Lord would grant you this enlightening of the heart, that faith and hope and love may have their sanctifying influence upon you, and that you may know by experience that these are the true sayings of God. May He keep you trusting in Christ alone for salvation, walking in His ways, and looking for Him who now reigns and shall reign forever. Alleluia, for the Lord God Omnipotent reigns. Amen.
