Waterfalls of peace
We are lifting you up right now as you fly through these next five hours and we thank you for allowing us to pray with you in Jesus name. We understand how real and overwhelming that flare of anxiety can feel when you are in the air and unable to step away, and we ask the Lord to pour waterfalls of His peace over you moment by moment.
The Lord knows your frame and He is not distant in this flight. He is with you in that seat, He holds the winds and the heavens in His hands, and He holds you even more securely. Scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Jesus Himself promises, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. John 14:27 And we cling to His word that says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
We also remember that For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 and I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 Anxiety is not a failure of faith, it is an invitation to cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up Your child who is flying at this very moment. Lord, You see the racing heart, the tight chest, the anxious thoughts, and You are near. We ask You to let Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus right now. Calm every flare of fear, steady their breathing, quiet their thoughts, and let them feel Your presence as near as their next breath. Lord, uphold them with Your righteous right hand, remind them that You are in control of this aircraft, this sky, and this journey from takeoff to landing. Fill this cabin with Your waterfalls of peace, hour after hour for these five hours and until they are safely on the ground. We thank You that You hear us when we call and that You deliver us from all our fears. Give them power and love and a sound mind, and help them to rest in Your care. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We have brought your request before the Lord and we join you in prayer for these next five hours in the air.
We ask our gracious Father to keep you in that perfect peace of which the prophet speaks, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee because he trusteth in Thee. May your mind be stayed upon Christ even as the sorrows and surging cares press round, for on Jesus bosom nothing but calm is found and the blood of Jesus whispers peace within.
We pray that you may know what it is to cast all your care upon Him for He careth for you. Anxiety unfits us to meet the trial, but faith overcomes fear. Hear His own word to His people, Fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God, I will help thee. To be afraid is to dishonor Him whose arm piled the heavens and whose love provided a full atonement. Perfect love casteth out fear.
We entreat the Lord to give you waterfalls of peace, not as the world giveth, but that peace which Christ calls My peace, calm and profound within even while duties press and sorrows surge. May you be enabled to do the will of Jesus and find rest there, and to trust your soul and body to His keeping every moment of this flight.
