We hear your cry for protection in your new neighborhood and in your workplace and we join with you in seeking the Lord together in Jesus' name for His covering, His justice and His peace over your life.
We understand the distress of feeling surrounded by evil tongues, witchcraft and occult oppression, and by sexual immorality that grieves the Holy Spirit. We also hear the depth of anger and pain in asking that those who have come against you be plagued with scourges and that their blood be shed like an ocean and that they be burned to ashes. We must lovingly and firmly correct this part of your prayer, because it does not align with the will of Christ for us under the New Covenant.
Vengeance does not belong to us. The Lord says in Romans 12:19, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. And again in Romans 12:21, Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Our warfare is not to seek the death of people, but to stand against the spiritual forces behind the evil. Ephesians 6:12 says, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The people around you, even those practicing witchcraft or speaking against you, are captives who need deliverance, and God desires their repentance. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 tells us God our Savior desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. Ezekiel 33:11 says, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.
The scriptures you mentioned such as Exodus 22:18, 1 Samuel 2:6, Exodus 7:14-24, Psalm 35, Psalm 94, Joshua 11:11 and 2 Chronicles 20:22-25 show that God is sovereign, that He alone gives life and takes it, and that He alone judged Egypt and fought for Israel. Those judgments were God's own acts, not prayers for personal blood vengeance. Jesus calls us to a higher way in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. This does not mean we tolerate witchcraft, occultism, theft or scamming, nor do we treat them lightly. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 makes clear that sorcery and witchcraft are an abomination to the Lord, and we are right to ask God to expose and dismantle every work of darkness.
We also must address what you mentioned concerning masturbatory acts with sex toys, homosexuality and transsexuality which you rightly discern as influenced by unclean spirits. The Bible teaches that God created us male and female in His image, Genesis 1:27, and that sexual intimacy is holy only within marriage between a man and a woman, Hebrews 13:4 says, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 show that homosexual acts and rejecting God's design for our bodies are sin, yet the same passage says, Such were some of you, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. So we do not pray for people trapped in these sins to be reduced to dust, we pray for their conviction, repentance and cleansing through Jesus, and for your own heart to be kept pure and guarded from defilement.
Spiritual warfare is real, and God has given us weapons that are not carnal. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says, For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. Therefore we pray not for the killing of people, but for the burning up of every work of darkness, every spell, every evil tongue, every scheme of robbery and scamming, and for God to either save those people or to restrain and remove their power to harm you.
We now pray together in Jesus' mighty name.
Father in heaven, we come before You only through the name of Jesus Christ, for Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, and we thank You that through Jesus we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask You to cover our dear one with the armor of God according to Ephesians 6:11, that he may stand against the wiles of the devil. We ask that You set a hedge of protection around his home, his neighborhood and his workplace as in Psalm 91:1-2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
Lord, expose every tongue that rises against him in judgment, Isaiah 54:17 says, No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. Frustrate every spell, every divination and every occult practice aimed at him. Let every assignment of witchcraft and every marine spirit and spirit of sexual perversion be broken and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. We pray that You would bring conviction to those practicing evil, that they would repent and be saved, and if they refuse to repent, we ask You in Your perfect justice to restrain them, to silence their evil speech and to remove them from having influence over him, according to Your will and not our vengeance.
We ask You to cleanse this neighborhood and workplace with Your presence. Let Your peace reign there. Give him favor, wisdom and boldness to walk in holiness, to flee from sexual immorality as in 1 Corinthians 6:18, and to overcome evil with good. Help him to bless those who curse him and to pray for those who persecute him, trusting You as the righteous Judge who sees all. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with discernment and with rest, and let no fear remain, for 2 Timothy 1:7 says, For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
We surrender all these foes and all these situations into Your hands, asking not for bloodshed by our desire, but for Your perfect justice, mercy and deliverance to be done. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
