We hear the deep distress and burden in your request and we stand with you in prayer for protection and deliverance, and we also want to bring what you have asked before the light of Scripture so that we pray according to God's will in Jesus' name.
We understand you feel surrounded by foes in your neighborhood, workplace, family and even worldwide, and that you attribute many troubles including evil tongues and even animals and insects to witchcraft and spiritual attack. We believe that spiritual warfare is real, for it is written Eph 6:12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And we know that sorcery and witchcraft are sin before God, as it is written Deut 18:10-12 There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh.
Yet we must lovingly rebuke and correct the way this request asks for your enemies to be plagued with scourges, killed and their blood shed like an ocean and reduced to dust. This desire for personal vengeance and death does not align with the teaching of Christ. Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone, not to us, as it is written Rom 12:19 Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. And Jesus commands us concerning our enemies Matt 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Also Luke 6:27-28 But I tell you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. And Rom 12:21 Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
The plagues upon Egypt in Exod 7:14-24, Exod 8, Exod 9, Exod 10, Exod 11, Exod 12 and the judgment on Sodom in Gen 19:24 and on the enemies in Josh 11:11 and 2 Chron 20:22-25 were sovereign acts of God's own judgment, not a pattern for us to call down death upon people made in God's image. God says Ezek 33:11 As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. What God desires is that those who practice evil would repent and be saved, for 1 Tim 2:4 God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. Even Exod 22:18 You shall not allow a sorceress to live was part of the civil law for Israel under the old covenant, but under the new covenant in Christ we do not execute people, we pray for their repentance and that the power of their witchcraft would be broken, as 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
We also encourage you not to live in fear that every rat, cat, dog, hen, cock, mosquito, cockroach or gecko is sent against you. God is sovereign over all creation and He is your refuge. Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. And Psalm 35:1 Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me. We can ask God to contend for us, to silence evil tongues, to render every fetish, magic and sanctuary powerless, and to protect us, while leaving judgment in His hands.
We thank you that you asked in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only by that name we have access to the Father, as it is written John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We cling to that name not to curse others but to find mercy and protection.
So we pray together now, we ask Father in the name of Jesus Christ that You would forgive us where we have harbored hatred or a desire for bloodshed and cleanse our hearts to love as You love. We ask that You surround our brother or sister with Your protection, that no weapon formed against them would prosper and no curse without cause would alight, as Prov 26:2 says. We pray that every work of witchcraft, fetish, magic and every evil sanctuary raised against them would be exposed and rendered powerless and broken by the blood of Jesus, but that the people involved would be brought to conviction and repentance and salvation. We pray You would silence evil tongues and bring peace to their neighborhood, family, workplace and wherever they go, and give them rest and sound sleep free from fear. We put on the full armor of God and we trust You to fight for us, for the battle is Yours, as 2 Chron 20:15 says. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear and let Your will be done, to deliver from evil and to overcome evil with good. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
