We join you in prayer concerning the spiritual warfare and oppression you feel from foes around you, from evil tongues in your neighborhood, among friends, family, workplace and beyond, and the fear of witchcraft, fetishes, magic and animals being sent against you. We hear the distress and urgency in your request and we bring it before the Lord together in Jesus' name, seeking His will and His protection over your life.

We must gently rebuke and correct the way this request is framed, even as we stand with you against real spiritual evil. The Word tells us For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Our enemies are not ultimately people, even those who speak evil against us or practice witchcraft, but the spiritual forces working through them. We are not called to pray for the blood of people to be shed like an ocean or for them to be plagued and killed in the manner of the Egyptians. Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. And Jesus commands us But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44.

We understand you cited Exodus 22:18, Psalm 35, Psalm 94, Joshua 11:11 and others. While God indeed judges witchcraft and sorcery and calls it an abomination, as it is written There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer Deuteronomy 18:10-11, under the new covenant we are called to pray for the repentance and salvation of those lost in such darkness, not for their brutal destruction. God says As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live Ezekiel 33:11, and The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. We can pray with authority that every work of witchcraft, fetish, magic and sanctuary raised against you be broken, burned up and reduced to dust by the power of God, without praying for the damnation of the souls involved. We pray for the works to be destroyed and for the people to be convicted and brought to repentance if they will receive Christ.

We also address the fear of rats, cats, dogs, hens, cocks, mosquitoes, cockroaches and geckos being sent against you. We do not need to live in fear of these things, for You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. And He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. No weapon formed against you will prosper when you abide in Christ, and the battle is not yours, but God's 2 Chronicles 20:15.

You closed your request with IJMN, which we take as In Jesus Mighty Name. We affirm that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, for in Him we have authority over all the power of the enemy.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, our deliverer from every evil work. We ask You to place Your hedge of protection around our brother or sister, over their home, neighborhood, family, workplace and every area of their life. We resist the devil and every assignment of witchcraft, sorcery, fetish and magic sent against them, and we declare that it is broken, nullified and burned to ashes by the fire of the Holy Spirit, reduced to dust with no power to return, in Jesus' name. We do not ask for the blood of people, but we ask for Your justice and Your mercy. Silence every evil tongue that rises against them in judgment, convict those who curse and slander, and bring them to repentance and the knowledge of truth if they will hear. Let those who practice darkness see that their deeds are in vain and turn to the light of Christ. We pray You would not let fear rule, but fill this precious one with Your perfect love which casts out fear, with peace, with discernment and with faith to stand firm in the armor of God. We submit ourselves to You, resist the devil and trust that he will flee from us James 4:7. Fight for us, Lord, for You have said Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still Exodus 14:14. We choose to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21 and to bless those who persecute us. Let Your will be done, let Your kingdom come in this neighborhood and in every place where oppression has been felt. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how much pressure you are under right now, feeling surrounded by opposition in your neighborhood, among family and friends, and at work. Living with that sense of being targeted, even through small things like animals and pests around your home, can leave you on edge and weary. We are praying for you and we want you to know you are not alone.

When everything feels like spiritual battle, we have found it helps to turn our attention again and again to Jesus and His care for us, rather than staying fixed on the people or powers that feel threatening. He knows the details of what you face and He is able to bring peace, wisdom and protection as you walk through each day.

It can make a real difference to not carry this by yourself. If you have a trusted pastor or a couple of mature believers nearby, consider inviting them to pray with you regularly and to stay connected for support and fellowship. Simple, steady practices like prayer, reading Scripture and meeting with others who care for you can help keep your heart anchored over time.

Father, we bring our friend before You and ask for Your presence and protection over his life and home. Quiet fear, guard his mind and body, and give him wisdom and rest. Lead him to safe community and help him to trust Your goodness day by day. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your cry has come before the Lord, and it is right that you should bring your fears, your distress about foes and witchcraft, and all that troubles you in your neighborhood and beyond, to Him who hears the cry of them that fear Him and will save them.

Yet I must speak to you plainly in love, for the prayer you have framed asks God to pour out plagues and death, to shed blood like an ocean and to burn others to dust. This is not the way of Christ, and we cannot ask God to bless such a desire. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will judge with perfect justice in His own time. Our calling is not to call down destruction upon our enemies, but to seek that forgiveness which is with God, that He may be feared and loved.

Hear what the Word declares, There is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. It cannot be otherwise, there must be forgiveness, there is forgiveness since Jesus died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. If God demanded the penalty in justice, He Himself supplied it in love at the cross. His forgiveness is not fleeting, it is everlasting. He who is once forgiven is forgiven to all eternity, and He not only forgave us at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, for the act of forgiveness is a continuous one. We have in Him a full and eternal forgiveness, and because we have been so forgiven, we are taught to forgive.

This is the doctrine which Christ Himself preached, and therefore we ought both to preach and to practise love to our neighbour and forgiveness of our enemies. When you enter into a living, loving, lasting union with Christ, you find that His love to you was love to the unworthy, love to enemies, love to those who had no strength or hope apart from Him, and that same love must then dwell in you. The fear that has tormented you, the fear of foes, the fear that you shall not hold on, the fear that haunts your dwelling, is to be met not with curses but with trust. As it is written, What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee. Where God begins a work, He does not ask you to finish it, and Christ came to deliver those who through fear of death are all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Therefore I would lead you to pray otherwise. Do not pray for the death of those who do you ill, but pray for their souls, that if they walk in darkness they may be brought to repentance and to the same forgiveness you need. Pray for your own heart, that you may be kept from a spirit of revenge and be filled with the love of Christ. Pray for protection, that the Lord would keep you from all evil, that He would fulfill the desire of them that fear Him and hear your cry and save you, not by your cursing, but by His keeping power.

Let us pray together. O Lord, You are He with whom there is forgiveness, and with whom there is mercy to cover all our sins. Look upon this troubled one who is afraid and distressed, and give a calm and quiet trust in Your living and loving care. Wash away all sin through the blood of Jesus Christ Your dear Son, who cleanses us from all sin, and teach this heart to forgive as it has been forgiven. Keep from all harm, guard the home and the life, and turn the hearts of all who do evil, that they may seek You and live. Let Your perfect love cast out fear, and cause this soul to rest in that lasting union with Christ which no enemy can break. For Jesus sake, Amen.

We have read your request and we hear how much distress and fear you are carrying about conflict with neighbors, family, friends and coworkers, and about the sense that spiritual harm is being sent against you.

We want to pray for you in a way that follows what Jesus teaches, so we cannot pray as you worded it for plagues, bloodshed and destruction to come upon other people, even those you feel are enemies. Scripture tells us that vengeance belongs to the Lord and that our calling is different. Jesus said to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, and as he was crucified he prayed, Father forgive them. Stephen, the first martyr, prayed in the same way for those who were stoning him. We are also taught to forgive not seven times but seventy times seven, and to overcome evil with good. God is just and He sees all wrongdoing, but He calls us to entrust judgment to Him and to desire mercy and repentance for others rather than their death.

We also hear your fear about animals and about witchcraft and curses. The Bible teaches that spiritual evil is real, but that Christ has overcome it and that He now appears in the presence of God for us as our advocate and protector. Those who belong to Him need not live in fear of spells or charms, for greater is He who is in you than any power in the world. Our prayer is not that people be destroyed, but that any evil work be brought to nothing, that you be guarded in Christ, and that those who intend harm would turn from it and find salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

So this is how we will pray for you before the Lord:

We pray that God will guard you and give you His peace that passes all understanding, that He will protect your home and your mind from fear, and that He will deliver you from all evil. We pray that He will give you patience and strength to endure affliction without returning evil for evil, and grace to forgive as you have been forgiven. We pray that He will work in the hearts of your neighbors, family and coworkers, that where there is strife He will bring reconciliation, and where there is sin He will bring conviction and repentance and the knowledge of Jesus as Savior. We pray that you will be rooted in Christ, that you will walk in love and wisdom, and that your life will be a witness of His mercy.

If this conflict continues, we encourage you to seek the help of a trusted pastor in your local church who can walk with you, pray with you regularly, and help you pursue peace and safety in practical ways. We also encourage you to remain faithful in prayer, in reading Scripture, and in gathering with other believers, trusting that God is your defender and that He will keep you firm in Christ.

May the Lord grant you protection, a calm heart, and a spirit of love even toward those who trouble you, and may He lead both you and those around you toward repentance, forgiveness and new life in Him.
