We hear the burden and distress in your request and we stand with you in prayer for God's protection, justice and peace over your life, your neighborhood and your workplace. We understand that you are feeling surrounded by spiritual opposition, evil tongues, witchcraft and immorality, and that you desire God's intervention. At the same time we must gently correct and guide you in how we as believers are called to pray and to wage spiritual warfare.
The Word teaches us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil, Ephesians 6:12, and that the battle belongs to the Lord, 2 Chronicles 20:15. We are not called to pray for the shedding of blood, for plagues to destroy people, or for others to be reduced to dust. Vengeance belongs to God alone, Romans 12:19 says do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. The Lord also tells us in Ezekiel 33:11 that He has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live, and in Matthew 5:44 Jesus says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Even when David prayed in Psalm 35:1 and Psalm 94:1 for God to contend with those who contend with him, he was entrusting judgment to God, not taking it into his own hands. We are to overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21, and to trust that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isaiah 54:17, and that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4.
We also must address what you have named regarding witchcraft, sexual immorality, homosexuality and transsexuality. The Scripture is clear that sorcery and witchcraft are detestable to God, Deuteronomy 18:10-12, and that all sexual activity outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin, including fornication, adultery, homosexuality and masturbation which is a form of sexual immorality that defiles the body which is a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. God created mankind male and female in His image, Genesis 1:27, and ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, Genesis 2:24, Mark 10:6-9. Homosexual behavior and rejecting God's design for male and female, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, are contrary to His will, but we do not hate those who practice these things. We hate the sin while loving the sinner and praying for repentance, because God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and He is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. There is forgiveness and cleansing for every sin through the blood of Jesus for those who repent and believe, 1 John 1:9. Terms like marine spirits are not biblical language, but we do know that demons deceive and oppress, and that Christ has authority over all of them.
We also notice deceit such as robbery and scamming in your workplace. God calls us to be honest and to expose darkness by walking as light, Ephesians 5:11, and to commit justice to Him and to lawful authorities, Romans 13:1-4, rather than seeking personal revenge.
We rejoice that you closed your request in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, John 14:6 says I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We cling to that name for protection and deliverance.
So we pray together with you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we ask for Your will to be done in this life. We ask that You be a refuge and fortress, Psalm 91:1-2, over our dear one in their neighborhood and workplace. We ask that You silence lying tongues, expose every work of witchcraft and occult power, and render it powerless by the cross of Christ. We do not ask for the death of people, but for the defeat of evil and for the conviction and repentance of those who practice it, that they may turn from darkness to light and be saved. We ask that You break the power of sexual immorality, homosexuality and gender confusion, and bring purity, holiness and healing. We ask that You protect from theft, fraud and oppression at work, and let honesty and righteousness prevail. We put on the full armor of God, Ephesians 6:11, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word, and we stand firm in Christ. We choose to forgive and to bless those who have declared themselves enemies, asking You to show them mercy while You establish justice in Your perfect time and way. Let Your peace guard heart and mind, let Your light shine through this life so that neighbors and coworkers see Christ, and let no evil prevail. We trust that You fight for us, Exodus 14:14, and we rest in Your sovereign hand. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue in daily prayer and reading of Scripture, to meet regularly with a Bible believing church for fellowship and accountability, to avoid any retaliation or return to occult practices for defense, and to seek godly counsel for protection and wisdom regarding your neighborhood and workplace. Walk in holiness, speak truth in love, pray for those who oppose you, and trust the Lord to be your defender and judge.
