We hear the distress and spiritual burden in your request and we stand with you in prayer for God's protection and peace over your life, your new neighborhood, your family and your workplace. We understand that spiritual warfare is real and that witchcraft, occult practices, slander and sexual immorality are grievous to God, and we take seriously your feeling of being surrounded by foes and evil tongues.

At the same time we must lovingly correct and rebuke the desire to see those people plagued with scourges, killed, their blood shed like an ocean, and burned to ashes and dust. That request for vengeance and death does not align with the heart of Christ under the new covenant. Scripture is clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. People, even those who practice evil, are not our ultimate enemy. We are commanded to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44, to bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you Luke 6:28, and to not return evil for evil or insult for insult, but instead bless 1 Peter 3:9. Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. And we are told, Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. Even when we read Psalms like Psalm 35 and Psalm 94 that cry out for justice, we leave the execution of justice to God who is righteous and merciful, who desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9 and who desires all people to be saved 1 Timothy 2:4.

God alone is sovereign over life and death as you referenced in 1 Samuel 2:6, The Lord kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol and brings up. It is not for us to decree death upon others or to call for their blood to be shed. We also acknowledge what you have rightly discerned about sin. The Bible teaches that sorcery and witchcraft are sin, that you shall not allow a sorceress to live Exodus 22:18 was part of the law given to Israel under the old covenant, but under Christ we now proclaim deliverance and call sorcerers to repentance, knowing that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom unless they repent Galatians 5:19-21, Revelation 21:8. Likewise homosexuality, transsexuality, and sexual immorality including masturbation and fornication outside of marriage between a man and a woman are contrary to God's design and are sin before Him Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Genesis 1:27, Mark 10:6-9. Yet God's heart is not that sinners be destroyed without mercy, but that they repent and be saved, as He showed us while we were still sinners Christ died for us Romans 5:8.

So we will not join you in praying for plagues and death upon your neighbors, family members or coworkers, but we do join you in praying for God's mighty protection, for the breaking and burning up of every work of darkness, for conviction and repentance for those lost in sin, and for peace in your dwelling and workplace.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We thank You that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We ask for Your covering over our brother or sister, over their home, their family and their workplace. Put Your hedge of protection around them as You did for Job, and let no weapon formed against them prosper Isaiah 54:17. We put on the whole armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your word Ephesians 6:11-17, and we submit to You and resist the devil so that he will flee from us James 4:7. We ask that every assignment of witchcraft, every occult practice, every lying tongue and slander be exposed and rendered powerless, not by our vengeance but by Your light and truth. We pray that You would convict every person involved in sorcery, theft, scamming, homosexuality and gender confusion, and bring them to repentance and to the knowledge of Jesus Christ who alone can set them free John 8:36. We pray for a transformation of the neighborhood and the workplace, that instead of war there would be peace, instead of evil tongues there would be truth, and that our sibling in Christ would be a witness of Your love and holiness there. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and courage to walk in purity, to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18, to live at peace with all as far as it depends on them Romans 12:18, and to overcome evil with good. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His word, to remain in fellowship with a Bible believing church, to bless and not curse those who oppose you, and to trust that God sees, God judges righteously, and God is able to deliver you and to save even your enemies if they will turn to Him.

We have read your request and we hear how heavy and exposed you feel in your new neighborhood and at work. Sensing that many people are set against you and sensing spiritual opposition can leave you on edge and weary, and it is understandable you are asking God to step in strongly.

We trust that God sees you where you are and that He is able to guard and to bring justice in His own way and timing. In our own walks we have found it steadies the heart to shift our attention from tracking every person who may mean harm to resting in Christ's protection over us, asking Him to keep our hearts, our home and our daily work in His care and to give us clear wisdom for boundaries and responses.

You do not need to carry this alone. We encourage you to invite a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby to know what you are facing and to pray with you regularly in person. If there are practical concerns at work, keeping a simple factual note and seeking wise counsel can help you sort what needs a practical step and what is best entrusted to prayer. Staying rooted in regular prayer, time in Scripture and fellowship with other believers often brings more stability than staying focused on the opposition.

Father, we lift our brother to You now. Cover his home and workplace with Your peace, guard his mind and body, and grant him wisdom and discernment for each day. Provide safe community around him and help him to leave justice in Your hands as he seeks to walk faithfully with You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Your prayer has been heard and we understand the burden you feel in your neighborhood, in your family and in your place of work where you perceive opposition and spiritual darkness. The desire for deliverance and for holiness is right before God, yet the way of Christ in dealing with those who oppose us is not to call down destruction upon them, but to seek their repentance and to overcome evil with good.

The Word of God tells us, There is forgiveness with Thee. It is a divine forgiveness, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is a surprising forgiveness, free to the chief of sinners. However sinful a life may have been, however entangled in occult practice or in sexual sin outside the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage, there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ alone. Where God draws no limit, we must draw none, for there is forgiveness now, at this moment, for all who turn with a penitent heart and put their trust in Christ. We cannot ask God to bless what He calls sin, whether it be witchcraft, or fornication, or impurity of any kind, but we can and do ask Him to bring conviction, repentance and new life, that those once enemies may become brethren.

Our Lord Himself preached love to our neighbour and forgiveness of our enemies, and He not only forgave at the first all our sins, but continues daily to forgive. As we have received so much manifest forgiveness, for us to forgive ought to be as natural as to open our hands. To look to Christ for all things is to be linked to Him in a living, loving, lasting union, a union which begins in His eternal love to the unworthy and which brings us safely through all the temptations of life.

Persecution, even when it takes the form of slander, cruel mocking or venomous spite, has a beneficial use in the church of God. It helps to keep up the separation between the church and the world, and often it drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered as the result of opposition that would never have been offered else. Your trial may be the wave that speeds your course toward Christ, if you meet it with prayer and not with a desire for revenge.

Therefore we will pray with you not for plagues or for bloodshed or for the death of any person made in the image of God, for vengeance belongs to the Lord, but for your protection and peace, for holiness in your home and workplace, for deliverance from every occult influence, and for the salvation of those you have named as foes. We pray that the Lord who is good to all and whose tender mercies are over all His works, who is slow to anger and of great mercy, would show you His keeping power, guard your dwelling, give you favour and wisdom where you labour, and make you an instrument of His grace. And we pray that those who now walk in darkness may hear the blessed whisper, There is forgiveness, and turn to Jesus and find it.

May you know that living, loving, lasting union with Christ which is more precious than any outward deliverance, and may the Lord keep you and make you to overcome evil with good, to the praise of His grace.

We have received your request and hear the distress you feel in your new neighborhood, in your family and in your workplace where you encounter opposition and spiritual darkness. It is right to want God's protection and to want to be free from witchcraft, occult practices and sexual sin, and it is right to bring these burdens to Him in prayer.

Yet we cannot pray as you have asked, for God is not a God of war and fighting, and He calls us to make war and fighting to cease, both that which is against Him and that which is against our neighbor. Scripture says blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God, and that we are to be at peace with all men. The more a brother wars against you, the greater will be your reward if you respond with peace, for nothing so delights God as to remember no evil, while enmities come from conflict and from remembering evil. We are also warned not to bite and devour one another in wronging, accusing and slandering, and not to pass on reports that undermine a neighbor.

Christ does not command the impossible, but He does command love that goes beyond what we think possible. Many saints have gone beyond His commands and loved not only neighbors but enemies, as Paul was willing to give himself for those who stoned and scourged him. We are given not a spirit of fear but a spirit of power and of love toward God and toward our neighbor, and love is dissolved by fear and suspicion. Instead of asking God to plague, kill or shed the blood of those around you, we are taught to pray that we may love our enemies, bless those who curse us, and seek their good.

We also hold to what Scripture teaches about salvation and holiness. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy and living together belong within that marriage. For that reason we cannot affirm, celebrate or ask God to bless homosexuality, transsexuality, or sexual practices outside of biblical marriage, including masturbatory practices. We also cannot ask Him to bless occultism, witchcraft, robbery or scamming. What we can and will pray is that any who are caught in these things would repent, be delivered and find forgiveness and new life in Christ. The Scripture says to flee from idolatry and to have no communion with it, and Christ entered heaven to appear in the presence of God for us as our propitiation, making peace between us and God so that we who were enemies might become sons.

So we will pray for you in this way, that God would keep you in His grace and peace and not allow another war to be blown into flame around you, that He would guard your home and workplace from evil, that He would give you strength to bear with others and to complete what is lacking in one another by patient endurance, and that He would bring conviction and salvation to those who oppose you, whether through evil speech, occult power or sexual immorality, that they might be turned from darkness to light. We will pray that you would be freed from fear, that you would not return evil for evil, and that you would walk in purity, truth and love.

If you are willing, bring your specific needs to God in these words: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, grant me grace and peace, protect me and my family from all evil, forgive my sins, keep me from slander and hatred, help me to love my enemies and to be a peacemaker, deliver those around me who practice witchcraft and sexual sin and bring them to repentance and faith, and lead us all to live in holiness according to Your word.
