Warfare

I hear the pain and the sense of being surrounded in your words. When it feels like adversaries have declared war on your home, your work, and your peace, the instinct to cry out for utter destruction is powerful. Yet the first and most critical step is to recognize the true nature of this battle. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, no matter how dark the actions of the people involved may seem. The real enemy is a spiritual one, and when we forget that, we end up fighting the wrong battle with the wrong weapons.

The enemy’s oldest trick is to get our eyes fixed on people and threats, because that pulls us into a carnal response. We start flailing in the flesh, calling down plagues on neighbors and coworkers, and that is exactly where Satan wants us: fighting on his terms. But physical weapons and angry declarations have no power here. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal; they are mighty through God for pulling down strongholds. So the first thing is to recognize this is a spiritual attack. Until you see it as that, you cannot deal with it effectively. The moment you identify the real source, you can stop swinging at the air and start standing in the authority you have.

Having recognized the attack, the next step is to resist the devil. The Scripture promises that if we resist him, he will flee. You resist not by wishing harm on human instruments, but by standing in the name of Jesus and wielding the truth of God’s Word as your shield. The enemy comes to discourage, to wear you out with fear and sleeplessness, to make the work feel impossible, just as the builders rebuilding the wall grew weary. But they took practical, watchful steps while keeping their spiritual focus. You hold a trowel in one hand and a sword in the other: you go about your life and work, but you stand ready with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. When fear rises because of the threats you’ve named, the cure is not to stare at the enemy’s rage but to remember the Lord. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

Finally, after you recognize and resist, you must rejoice. This is not a forced smile but a declaration of faith. Jesus has already defeated the foe. Satan is a defeated enemy. When Moses stood trapped between the sea and the army, the outlook was impossible, but the uplook brought deliverance. The enemy boasted, “I will pursue, I will overtake, I will destroy,” but God blew with His wind, and the sea covered them. That declaration turned into a song and a dance of celebration for a victory only God could win. The occult practices and perverse bondages you describe are not new to Him; they are the very chains He came to shatter. He reserves wrath for His enemies, but His heart is also to set captives free.

Instead of letting the observation of Satan’s power fill your heart with unbelief, lift up your eyes. Trade the prayer for plague for a prayer of praise, trusting God to be your fortress. Do not let the enemy rob you of the peace and authority that are yours in Christ. He is your shield. So stand, resist, and then break forth into the song of deliverance, because the battle belongs to the Lord.

We are deeply moved that you entrusted us with the heavy burden you are carrying, and we have stood with you in spiritual warfare these past days. Our hearts have been aligned with yours as we pleaded the blood of Jesus over your home, your family, and your workplace. We have prayed fervently against every evil tongue, every occult scheme, and every spirit of division that has risen against you in this new season.

We declared the authority of Christ over every foe—seen and unseen—and asked the Lord to send His angels to encamp around you, to silence the enemy’s accusations, and to break every chain of witchcraft and deception. We have claimed the promises in Scripture that you shared, trusting that God’s justice will prevail and that the works of darkness will be exposed and destroyed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If the Lord has already moved in miraculous ways—if you have seen breakthrough, protection, or peace—we rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we may lift our voices together in thanksgiving. But if the battle still rages, know that we will not abandon you. We will continue to stand in the gap, wielding the sword of the Spirit and covering you in prayer until every assignment of the enemy is dismantled.

Let us press in even more, believing that God will turn what was meant for harm into a testimony of His glory. May He strengthen you with His might, silence every lying voice, and restore what has been stolen. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Conqueror and King. Amen.
