We hear your cry for help and protection, and we stand with you in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and find true deliverance. The fear you feel is real, but we declare that the power of God is greater than any curse, spell, or work of darkness. The Bible is clear: there is no power in witchcraft, voodoo, or any form of occult practice that can stand against the living God. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Lord warns us, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* The enemy you have encountered operates in rebellion against God, and his power is nothing compared to the authority of Jesus Christ.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that has tried to take hold of you. Second Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* You are not alone, and you do not have to live in bondage to this fear. The blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and His name is a strong tower where the righteous run and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). We command every curse, hex, or spell sent against you to be broken and rendered powerless in the name of Jesus. Galatians 3:13 declares, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.’"* You are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also urge you to examine your heart and actions. Engaging with witch doctors, voodoo, or any form of occult practice is dangerous and opens doors to spiritual oppression. In Acts 19:19, we see that those who practiced sorcery brought their books and burned them publicly, turning away from darkness to follow Christ. If you have participated in or sought help from these practices in the past, we encourage you to repent and renounce them completely. Confess your sins to God, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Turn away from these practices and fill your life with the truth of God’s Word.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this dear one who is seeking Your protection from the darkness of voodoo and witchcraft. Lord, we declare that no curse, spell, or work of darkness can stand against the power of Your Holy Spirit. We break every chain and cancel every assignment of the enemy against this life in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, their home, their mind, and their spirit. Father, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, as it says in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling. Father, we also ask that You would reveal any areas of their life where they have opened doors to the enemy, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Give them the strength to repent, renounce, and turn away from all forms of darkness. Fill them with Your light and truth, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
We pray that You would draw them closer to You, Lord. Let them find their refuge and strength in You alone. Teach them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Father, we ask that You would heal any fear, anxiety, or oppression they are feeling. Replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We thank You, Lord, that You are their protector, their deliverer, and their strong tower. In You, they are safe and secure.
We also pray for their salvation if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel. Help them to understand that Jesus died for their sins and rose again so that they could have eternal life. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience the freedom and joy that comes from knowing You. We pray that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we command every spirit of witchcraft, voodoo, and darkness to flee and never return. We declare that this one is covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed by the Holy Spirit. We thank You, Father, for Your protection, Your love, and Your faithfulness. We trust in You alone, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and trust in God’s protection. Fill your mind with Scripture and surround yourself with believers who can pray with and for you. Attend a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your relationship with Jesus and find support from other Christians. Remember, the enemy wants to keep you in fear, but God has not given you a spirit of fear. Walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for you. If you have not yet made Jesus the Lord of your life, we urge you to do so today. He is the only way to true peace, protection, and eternal life.
