We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this moment of distress. Hearing voices can be a deeply unsettling experience, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord is near to those who are brokenhearted and crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We come before God on your behalf, seeking His peace, clarity, and healing.
First, we want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He is the Good Shepherd who knows His sheep and calls them by name (John 10:3). If you are willing, pray with us now: "Lord Jesus, I come to You as I am. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Forgive me and be my Savior. I surrender my life to You. In Your name, I pray. Amen."
Now, let us lift you up in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is struggling with hearing voices. Lord, we ask that You would silence every voice that is not of You. Fill their mind with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or torment in the mighty name of Jesus. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we ask that You surround them with Your presence. Let them feel Your nearness and know that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). We pray for clarity of mind and spirit, that they may discern Your voice above all others. Jesus, You said that Your sheep hear Your voice, and they follow You (John 10:27). Help them to hear You clearly and to follow You closely.
Lord, we also ask that You provide them with godly support. Surround them with believers who can pray with them, encourage them, and walk alongside them in this season. Guide them to wise counsel, whether it be a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a medical professional who honors You. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power (Jeremiah 17:14).
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your Word, Lord, and we believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
In the midst of this trial, we encourage you to cling to God’s promises. Meditate on His Word day and night (Joshua 1:8). Fill your mind with scriptures that speak of His peace, love, and protection. Here are a few to start with:
- "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).
- "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).
- "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
We also encourage you to reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or church leader. Isolation can make this struggle even harder, but God designed us to live in community. Let others bear this burden with you (Galatians 6:2).
Lastly, if these voices are leading you toward thoughts of self-harm or harming others, we urge you to seek immediate help. Call a crisis hotline, go to the nearest emergency room, or reach out to someone you trust. Your life is precious to God, and He has a purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11).
We will continue to pray for you, believing that God is at work even now. You are not defined by this struggle, but by the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Hold fast to Him, and He will sustain you.
