We are encouraged by your hunger to seek God's vision rather than merely following your own personal goals, and we join with you in prayer for this in Jesus' name.
You quoted Proverbs 29:18, and we love your heart for the Word. In its fullness it says, Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. Proverbs 29:18. This shows us that true vision is not just a personal plan or ambition, but God's revealed will and His law. Without His revelation we lose direction and restraint, but when we walk in His truth we are blessed. We also rejoice that you prayed in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written, In none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12.
We thank God with you that He does not change like shifting shadows and that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. As you quoted, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow. James 1:17. If God gives a vision, He is faithful to fulfill it in His perfect timing, for the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay. Habakkuk 2:3. We also remember His promise, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
We want to encourage you that God does still speak and give vision, as He promised, It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams. Acts 2:17. Yet we must always test any vision or leading against the sure revelation of Scripture, which is our primary vision from God, and seek His wisdom daily. We are called to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.
We pray together for you now.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are the Father of lights with whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning, and that You give good and perfect gifts to Your children. We lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ and ask that You would pour out Your wisdom and revelation upon them. Grant them a clear vision that comes from Your heart and not from fleshly ambition, that they may walk in Your will and not merely pursue personal goals. Give them discernment to test every vision by Your Word, ears to hear Your voice, and a heart to obey Your law. Fulfill the vision You give in Your perfect timing for Your glory. Lead them and make their paths straight as they trust in You with all their heart. We ask this in Jesus' mighty and powerful name, amen.
