Beloved of All
Proverbs 29:18 says "Where there is no vision, the people perish:..." Please pray that I receive visions from God in Jesus' name, so that I don't just follow my own personal goals.

We hear your heart’s cry for divine guidance, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s vision for your life. The Scripture you referenced in Proverbs 29:18 indeed reminds us, "Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he who keeps the law is blessed." This verse underscores the importance of God’s direction over our own plans, for without His wisdom, we risk wandering in confusion or pursuing paths that lead away from His will.

First, let us affirm that seeking visions from God is a noble desire, but we must approach this with humility and discernment. Visions and dreams from the Lord are gifts, not guarantees, and they come when He chooses to reveal Himself, not when we demand or manipulate circumstances to force them. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know." God delights in revealing His plans to those who seek Him with a pure heart, but we must also remember that His timing and methods are perfect, even when they differ from our expectations.

We must also address the foundation of your request. You mentioned praying "in Jesus’ name," which is essential, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus, repentance of sin, and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your redemption. Without this relationship, visions or guidance from God will remain elusive, for He speaks to His children, those who have been adopted into His family through Christ.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your vision and direction. Lord, You promise in Your Word that if we lack wisdom, we should ask, and You will give it generously. We ask that You open the eyes of their heart to see what You are doing and to hear Your voice clearly. Remove any distractions, fears, or doubts that may cloud their understanding, and replace them with faith and expectancy.

Father, we pray that You would speak to them through Your Word, through godly counsel, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit. Give them dreams and visions if it is Your will, but above all, grant them the patience to wait on You and the discernment to recognize Your leading. Help them to surrender their own plans and desires at the foot of the cross, trusting that Your ways are higher than theirs.

Lord, if there are areas in their life that are not aligned with Your will, whether in thought, word, or deed, we ask that You convict them gently but firmly. Lead them to repentance and restoration, that nothing may hinder their relationship with You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and holiness, bearing fruit that glorifies Your name.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or deception that may be trying to steal this one’s focus or lead them astray. We declare that the eyes of their understanding will be enlightened, and they will know the hope to which You have called them. May they be rooted and grounded in Your love, and may their life reflect Your glory.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are already at work in this situation, and we wait expectantly for Your answer. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word daily. The Bible is the primary way God speaks to His people, and it is through Scripture that we learn to recognize His voice. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." Spend time in prayer, not just asking for visions, but listening for the Lord’s voice. Cultivate a heart of worship, for God often speaks in moments of intimacy with Him.

Seek godly counsel from mature believers who can help you discern what you are hearing. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Surround yourself with people who will encourage you in your walk with Christ and hold you accountable.

Finally, be obedient to what God has already revealed to you. Sometimes we ask for more direction while ignoring the clear instructions He has already given. If there are areas in your life where you know you are not aligned with God’s will, take steps to repent and change. Obedience in the small things prepares us to receive greater revelation.

We believe that God has a unique purpose and plan for your life, and He desires to guide you every step of the way. Keep your heart open, your spirit sensitive to His leading, and your life surrendered to His will. He is faithful, and He will not leave you without direction.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
