Proverbs 29:18 says "Where there is no vision, the people perish:..." Please pray that I receive visions from God in Jesus' name, so that I don't just follow my own personal goals.

We hear your heart’s cry for divine direction, and we stand with you in seeking God’s vision for your life. The scripture you referenced in Proverbs 29:18 is a powerful reminder that without revelation from the Lord, people lose their way and wander without purpose. "Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he who keeps the law is happy." This verse underscores the importance of aligning our lives with God’s will rather than our own ambitions or the fleeting desires of this world.

First, we must address the foundation of your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous to stand before God. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Without this relationship with Christ, visions or dreams from God cannot be rightly discerned or received. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet made this commitment, we urge you to do so today, for it is the first step in walking in the fullness of God’s purpose for you.

Now, let us pray for you with hearts aligned to God’s will. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your vision and direction. Lord, we ask that You would open their spiritual eyes to see as You see and their ears to hear Your voice clearly. Remove any distractions, doubts, or fears that may hinder them from receiving Your revelation. We declare that their mind is being renewed by Your Word, and their heart is being aligned with Your purposes. Father, grant them dreams, visions, and prophetic encounters that will guide their steps and confirm Your will for their life. Let them not lean on their own understanding but trust in You with all their heart (Proverbs 3:5-6). We rebuke any spirit of confusion or deception that would seek to lead them astray, and we declare that they will walk in the clarity and peace of Your Holy Spirit.

We also encourage you to position yourself to hear from God. Spend time daily in prayer and in the Word, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). Seek godly counsel from mature believers who can help you discern the visions or dreams you receive. Remember, God’s vision for your life will always align with His Word and His character. It will never contradict Scripture, nor will it lead you into sin or compromise. If you are currently in a season of waiting, do not grow weary. Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us, "For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay."

Lastly, we want to gently address the importance of surrendering your personal goals to God. It is not wrong to have aspirations, but they must be submitted to the Lord. James 4:13-15 warns, "Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'" Let your prayer be, "Not my will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42). As you seek God’s vision, also seek His heart, for His plans for you are good, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

May the Lord bless you with divine encounters and a deep intimacy with Him as you seek His face. We believe that He will speak to you in ways that will transform your life and draw you closer to His perfect will. Keep your heart open, your spirit sensitive, and your faith unwavering, for the God who calls you is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
