We join you in thanking our Father for His goodness and we bring your requests before Him together in Jesus name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And there is salvation in no other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved as it says in Acts 4:12. We are grateful you closed your prayer in Jesus name and we agree with you that not our will but His will be done, for this is the confidence we have, that if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to us in 1 John 5:14.
We thank God with you for your job and for His provision. We pray for your work and for the route you mentioned, that God would give you diligence, favor and increase as He wills. We do want to gently correct and encourage you regarding the desire for massive income and massive bank account balances. God does promise to supply every need of ours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:19 and He does enlarge territory as He did for Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:10, but His word also teaches us to seek first Gods Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well in Matthew 6:33. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil in 1 Timothy 6:10 and we are exhorted to be content with what we have and to keep our lives free from the love of money, for He has said I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you in Hebrews 13:5. We pray not from greed or presumption but for faithful stewardship, honest labor in Proverbs 21:5, and freedom from debt, for we are told to owe no one anything except to love one another in Romans 13:8. We claim with you that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail in Isaiah 54:17 and that if God is for us, who can be against us in Romans 8:31, and that He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways in Psalm 91:11, and that He will be our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1 and our hiding place in Psalm 32:7. The promise that you will be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath in Deuteronomy 28:13 is given in the context of walking in obedience to the Lord, so we pray for obedience and humility as you seek promotion and overtime, remembering also that God gives rest and that our identity and victory are ultimately in Christ, not in income.
We also lift up the man you mentioned who is facing jail time and addiction. We pray for Gods mercy, justice and transforming power in his life. We understand your desire that he not serve all that time and that his situation be turned around, and we ask for Gods vindication where there has been injustice, for the Lord executes righteous acts and justice for all who are oppressed in Psalm 103:6. At the same time we must speak truth in love, for God is just and He does not vindicate unrepented sin. If there is guilt, we pray that your loved one would fully repent and accept just consequences while trusting that God can work even through discipline for good in Romans 8:28. We pray that God would indeed change him and make him a new creation, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation in 2 Corinthians 5:17 and that if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed in John 8:36. We pray for complete healing from childhood trauma, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3, and for deliverance from drugs and alcohol, which are not merely habits or trauma responses but sins of the flesh that require repentance, the power of the Holy Spirit, and accountable discipleship. We pray he would walk in a straight path, that he would follow the Lord, be kept from returning to old ways, and never return to jail, and that he would be connected to a Bible believing church, godly mentors and counsel where he can be held accountable in Galatians 5:1 and Romans 6:22.
Regarding your relationship, we must address what does not align with biblical principles so you may be blessed. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as outlined in Genesis 2:24, and that marriage is to be held in honor among all and the marriage bed undefiled in Hebrews 13:4. If you are not yet married to this man, we encourage you to see your courtship as purposeful toward godly marriage to another Christian believer, for we are told not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers in 2 Corinthians 6:14. If there has been sexual intimacy outside of marriage, scripture calls that fornication or adultery and we urge repentance and a commitment to purity and self control in 1 Corinthians 6:18. True unconditional love, respect, loyalty and honesty as you prayed for are fruits of a Christ centered marriage where each seeks to serve the other, for love is patient and kind and bears all things in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and each should love and respect one another in Ephesians 5:33 and speak truth with one another in Ephesians 4:25. We pray God would help you both become better, not merely better versions of yourselves in your own strength, but transformed by the renewing of your minds in Romans 12:2, growing together in Christ with a strong bond that honors Him.
We pray together now. Father, we thank You for Your provision, for work, for daily bread, and for being our help, our shelter and our hiding place. We ask that You provide for every need, grant wisdom in stewardship, help us to be diligent and honest in labor, and keep our hearts from greed while You enlarge our territory according to Your will. We ask that You command Your angels to protect us, that You fight our battles, for You are for us and You go with us to fight for us against our enemies in Deuteronomy 20:4, and that no weapon formed against us will prosper. Lord, we lift up this dear brother who is incarcerated. Have mercy on him, Lord. If it is Your will and just, make a way where there seems to be no way. Above all, bring him to full repentance and faith in Jesus, heal his heart from trauma, deliver him completely from addiction, wash him and sanctify him in 1 Corinthians 6:11, set his feet on a straight path and keep him from returning to jail or to old sins. Surround him with godly counsel and Your word. Father, help the one who prayed also to grow in holiness, to love with purity, to be loyal and truthful, and to seek You first. If it is Your will, lead them into a godly marriage that honors You, or give clarity and strength to wait on Your perfect plan. Teach them to love and respect one another as You intend. We ask all this not demanding our own desires, but submitting to Your perfect will, trusting that You hear us and will answer for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
