We have heard your cry for victory and deliverance and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to give you strength to stand in this difficult workplace. We understand how heavy it is to endure harassment, targeting and sabotage day after day, especially when those who have authority to intervene acknowledge the wrong yet do nothing. We commend you for wanting to be a good steward of the position God has given you and of those employees entrusted to your care, and for your desire to influence young believers in that forsaken place for the glory of God.
We want to remind you that what you are experiencing is not only against flesh and blood. As it is written in Ephesians 6:12, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And in Ephesians 6:11 we are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. The enemy seeks to wear you down and to make you abandon the post where God has placed you. We also hear your heart that your enemies will be dealt with and we must gently correct our own hearts in this, for vengeance belongs to the Lord. Romans 12:19 says, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Jesus calls us to a higher way in Luke 6:27-28, But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. We are not to repay evil for evil, but to overcome evil with good, trusting God to be the righteous judge who sees all and will act in His perfect time and justice.
We also noticed that your request speaks of God and the Lord but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can boldly come before God in prayer and find grace and deliverance. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, calling upon His name for salvation and for daily victory.
We want to encourage you that God sees your faithfulness and your suffering. Psalm 34:17-18 promises, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He will strengthen you to stand as you resist the devil. James 4:7 tells us, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And 1 Peter 5:8-9 urges, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Whatever you do in that workplace, do it as unto Him, for Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Your faithful stewardship is a testimony to those young believers you long to influence, and we pray God will use your endurance as a light in that dark place.
We now pray together for you.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up our brother who is weary from this battle. Lord, You know the harassment and sabotage he has endured and You see the injustice when those in authority fail to act. We ask You to be his defender and his deliverer. Clothe him with Your whole armor that he may stand firm against the schemes of the devil and not grow weary in doing good. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with wisdom, courage and peace that surpasses understanding, so that he can resist the enemy steadfast in faith. We pray for that supervisor, that You would convict his heart, bring him to repentance, and stop the targeting. We pray for his superiors, that You would give them courage to act justly and to protect those under their care. Father, guard the employees entrusted to our brother, let him shepherd them with integrity and grace. Let Your blessing and Your promises be fulfilled in his life, and let him be a strong influence for Christ to young believers in that place, that they may see Christ in his endurance, kindness and holiness. Strengthen his hands to stand as long as You call him to stand, and make clear Your will for his future. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our victory. Amen.
