Beloved of All
For a couple of years I have experienced what seems like workplace harassment, targeting and sabotage from one of my supervisors. I have complained to my superiors and although they acknowledge the problem they do nothing about it. I believe God sent me to this forsaken place and is telling me to stand. I don’t know how much longer I can take it. I am believing God that my enemies will be dealt with. I will receive the blessing the Lord promised me and that I will influence young believers in this place. I definitely need prayer to help me resist the devil and his tactics. I am trying to be a good steward of my job and the employees I’m in charge of. I desperately need prayer to stand. Thank you

I am sorry you are going through this my friend, you are loved by Jesus and followers.

I am praying for this in Jesus mighty name, amen!

We have heard your cry for victory and deliverance and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to give you strength to stand in this difficult workplace. We understand how heavy it is to endure harassment, targeting and sabotage day after day, especially when those who have authority to intervene acknowledge the wrong yet do nothing. We commend you for wanting to be a good steward of the position God has given you and of those employees entrusted to your care, and for your desire to influence young believers in that forsaken place for the glory of God.

We want to remind you that what you are experiencing is not only against flesh and blood. As it is written in Ephesians 6:12, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And in Ephesians 6:11 we are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. The enemy seeks to wear you down and to make you abandon the post where God has placed you. We also hear your heart that your enemies will be dealt with and we must gently correct our own hearts in this, for vengeance belongs to the Lord. Romans 12:19 says, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Jesus calls us to a higher way in Luke 6:27-28, But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. We are not to repay evil for evil, but to overcome evil with good, trusting God to be the righteous judge who sees all and will act in His perfect time and justice.

We also noticed that your request speaks of God and the Lord but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can boldly come before God in prayer and find grace and deliverance. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, calling upon His name for salvation and for daily victory.

We want to encourage you that God sees your faithfulness and your suffering. Psalm 34:17-18 promises, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He will strengthen you to stand as you resist the devil. James 4:7 tells us, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And 1 Peter 5:8-9 urges, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Whatever you do in that workplace, do it as unto Him, for Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Your faithful stewardship is a testimony to those young believers you long to influence, and we pray God will use your endurance as a light in that dark place.

We now pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up our brother who is weary from this battle. Lord, You know the harassment and sabotage he has endured and You see the injustice when those in authority fail to act. We ask You to be his defender and his deliverer. Clothe him with Your whole armor that he may stand firm against the schemes of the devil and not grow weary in doing good. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with wisdom, courage and peace that surpasses understanding, so that he can resist the enemy steadfast in faith. We pray for that supervisor, that You would convict his heart, bring him to repentance, and stop the targeting. We pray for his superiors, that You would give them courage to act justly and to protect those under their care. Father, guard the employees entrusted to our brother, let him shepherd them with integrity and grace. Let Your blessing and Your promises be fulfilled in his life, and let him be a strong influence for Christ to young believers in that place, that they may see Christ in his endurance, kindness and holiness. Strengthen his hands to stand as long as You call him to stand, and make clear Your will for his future. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our victory. Amen.

We were moved by your honesty about how long this has gone on. Wanting to stand where you believe God has placed you while facing daily targeting from a supervisor is exhausting, especially when those above see it and do not act. Your desire to stay faithful to the work and to the people you lead, and to be a steady influence for younger believers there, says a lot about your heart.

Standing does not mean standing alone or without wisdom. When pressure builds it helps to have a few steady practices.

Keep a brief private log of what happens, date, time, what was said or done, and any witnesses. It keeps facts clear if you need to seek counsel later and helps you see patterns.

Invite one or two trusted, mature voices outside your reporting line, a pastor or mentor who knows your workplace, to listen regularly and help you weigh next steps. They can also pray with you specifically for endurance and discernment.

Guard your own resilience with simple rhythms, consistent sleep, time in prayer and Scripture when you can, and time away from work to rest. If the strain begins to affect your health or sleep for more than a few days, please reach out to a trusted medical professional or counselor as well as your pastor.

We are praying for you.

Father, You see where our brother is and how weary he feels. Give him strength to stand with integrity, wisdom for each decision, and protection over his heart and mind. Guard those he leads, and make his life a quiet witness to Your grace. Lead him step by step and keep him close to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your cry under this long and sore trial has been heard among us and carried to the throne of grace, and we join our prayers with yours that you may be kept standing to the end.

You write that you believe God sent you to this forsaken place and bids you stand, though the pressure from one set against you has continued for years and those over you do nothing though they see the wrong. This is a hard place to be, yet it is not a strange place for a child of God. Those who would be faithful are pretty sure to call forth adversaries, and to have an enemy for Christ's sake is no mark that you are forsaken but that you are noted. God is high above all, and in Him you may still stand your ground, for notwithstanding every attempt of the enemy to throw you down, your foot may stand in an even place and in the congregation you shall yet bless the Lord.

What is this even place? It is the secure standing which Christ gives His people, not only in outward keeping from sin but in inward establishment by the Holy Spirit. While you are kept standing, bless the Lord for it, and He will continue to keep you. If you feel your foot almost slipping, remember where your great strength lies and look anew to Him who alone can hold you up. He is able to give you what this hour demands, whether it be clear sight to detect and baffle the cunning of the enemy, or courage and quick resolve, or firmness of mind in the day of temptation.

Take comfort also in this promise, that if you are truly a child of God your trials cannot destroy you, and what is better still, you can lose nothing by them. From your first trouble till the last enemy shall be destroyed, you shall not lose a fraction, jot or tittle by anything which providence may permit or the world in its fury or Satan in his craftiness may lay upon you. The arch enemy will fly away confounded from you if you are able to resist him, even while darkness covers your soul. If you conquer him in your hour of grief, you conquer indeed.

We pray therefore that the Lord will bring you to His feet and there help you in all future troubles to stand firm and not to sin, that you may resist the devil and his tactics with the whole armor of God, that you may be kept as a good steward over the work and the employees entrusted to your care, and that your quiet endurance and faithful witness may be for the good of young believers in that place. May the Lord deal with those who do you wrong according to His perfect justice and mercy, and may He give you the blessing He has promised in His own way and time, which is always good.

We will continue to bear you up, that you faint not, but stand in the even place until your work there is done to His glory.
