We hear the urgency and the deep pain in your prayer and we join with you before the Lord to seek His will together in Jesus name. We understand you have suffered greatly and you believe many others have suffered as well under the care of this surgeon, and your heart is crying out for justice, for truth to be exposed, and for wrongdoing to be stopped. The Lord sees your suffering and He is near to you in it, for Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We also hear your desire for this man to be mightily arrested, punished, sacked permanently, and to have no peace or joy until he repents, and we must lovingly speak truth to this part of your prayer so that your prayer may align more fully with the heart of God. It is right to desire justice and for evil to be exposed and stopped, for Psalm 103:6 says Yahweh executes righteous acts and justice for all who are oppressed, and Proverbs 21:15 says it is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. It is also right to pray for this surgeon's salvation and genuine repentance, for the Lord desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance as in 2 Peter 3:9 and Ezekiel 33:11 says As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.
Yet scripture also teaches us that vengeance belongs to the Lord and not to us, and that we are called to entrust justice to Him and to the authorities He has established, and to pray even for our enemies with a heart of mercy rather than demanding immediate destruction. Romans 12:19 says Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, and Matthew 5:44 says But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. We are also warned not to let bitterness and rage take root in our hearts, for Hebrews 12:15 warns to watch lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it, and Ephesians 4:31-32 says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
You quoted the promise ask and you will receive, and it is true that Matthew 7:7 says Ask, and it will be given you, but 1 John 5:14 also teaches us this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. God hears and answers according to His perfect wisdom, justice, and timing, not according to our demand for no delay, and even Jesus when He suffered unjustly did not retaliate but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously as in 1 Peter 2:23.
So we pray with you not for our wrath to be done, but for God’s perfect justice and mercy to be done.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to You, as Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Lord, You see the pain and suffering that has been endured, You know every detail, every patient, every wound, and we ask You to bring healing to this dear one who is hurting, to comfort and restore what has been broken. We ask You, Lord, if there has been true wrongdoing, negligence, arrogance, or hardness in this surgeon, that You would expose the truth in Your light, for Luke 8:17 says nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and we ask that You move upon those in rightful authority, the medical boards and oversight, to investigate with honesty and to execute justice rightly as in Romans 13:1-4. We ask that You restrain any further harm to patients if harm is being done, and that You bring protection to the vulnerable.
We also pray for this surgeon himself, Lord, not out of hatred but out of a desire for Your will. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict him of any sin, any pride, coldness, dismissiveness, or wrong, and lead him to genuine repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We do not pray for his destruction but for his transformation, that he would be saved and that all that is not of You would be removed from his heart and replaced by humility, compassion, and the fear of the Lord. We ask that justice and mercy would kiss, and that Your name would be glorified. Help our dear fellow believer to release the burden of vengeance to You, to forgive as You have forgiven, and to walk in peace, trusting You as the righteous Judge. Guard this heart from bitterness and fill it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask all this according to Your perfect will, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your pain to the Lord honestly, and also to pursue right and orderly means for accountability if you believe malpractice has occurred, through proper medical and legal channels, while continuing to trust the Lord to be your defender and healer. May the Lord comfort you, vindicate what is true, and lead you into His peace and wholeness.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
