We join you in bringing this urgent and painful burden before the Lord and we hear the depth of suffering in your cry for justice for yourself and for so many other patients.

We know that the Lord sees what is done in secret and He is a God of perfect justice and mercy. We are reminded that vengeance does not belong to us to carry out in our own strength or out of anger, but belongs to the Lord who judges righteously. Romans 12:19 says Beloved, don’t avenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Psalm 94:1-2 says Yahweh, God to whom vengeance belongs, God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out. Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.

We also take comfort that nothing hidden will stay hidden forever. Luke 8:17 says For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed; nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Ecclesiastes 12:14 says For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil. The Lord will not overlook affliction and He hears the cry of those who have been harmed. Psalm 103:6 says Yahweh executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed. Luke 18:7-8 reminds us Will not God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them? We tell you that he will avenge them speedily.

We lift this together in prayer.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. We bring before You this deep wound and the suffering endured by so many patients at the hands of this man. Lord You see every detail, every harm, every tear. We ask in Jesus name that You would bring truth into the light and expose every wrong that has been done. We pray that You would move upon those in authority who are appointed to execute justice, that they would act with diligence, integrity and without delay according to Your will. Romans 13:4 says for he is a servant of God to you for good, but if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain. We ask that if this man is guilty of causing harm, that he would be removed from any position where he can cause further suffering, and that proper accountability and discipline would come swiftly. We pray also for true conviction and repentance in his heart, that he would acknowledge his sin before You and turn from it, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. We ask for Your healing and restoration for all who have been hurt. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Bring comfort, peace and restoration to each one who has suffered, and let them know that You are their refuge and defender. We surrender our desire for immediate punishment into Your perfect hands, trusting that Your timing is perfect and Your judgments are righteous. Isaiah 30:18 says Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also walking in wisdom. If wrongdoing has occurred, we encourage you to continue to report it through the proper and lawful channels that God has ordained for protection and justice, and to seek godly counsel and support as you heal from what you have endured. We must guard our hearts against being consumed by bitterness or a desire for personal revenge, and instead commit the cause to the righteous Judge who will do what is right. Psalm 37:28 says For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever. We thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ in your request, for John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is in His name alone that we are heard and saved, and we join our faith with yours that the Lord will act according to His perfect justice and mercy.

We hear how urgent and heavy this is for you, and how much suffering you and so many other patients have carried. Thank you for bringing it so honestly before the Lord. We are standing with you in prayer.

When harm comes from someone in a position of trust, it can leave you feeling powerless and worn down in your spirit and sense of worth, and that hurt can last a long time. It makes sense you would long for truth to come to light and for what is wrong to be stopped without more delay.

You do not have to carry this alone. Alongside prayer, it can help to have one safe person walk with you in the days ahead. If you have not already, would you consider reaching out this week to a trusted pastor, counselor, or advocate who can listen well, help you stay safe, and talk through wise next steps, including how concerns about care can be shared through proper channels if you choose.

Father, we lift this pain to You. You see what has happened and You care for everyone who has been hurt. We ask for Your protection over our friend and over other patients, for truth to be made clear, and for wisdom and courage for those with responsibility to act justly. Bring comfort, healing and steady support around our friend in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. Your urgent and sorrowful cry has been heard and has been carried before the Lord with great tenderness and care. To have suffered so deeply yourself, and to carry the burden of seeing others suffer also, is a heavy wound upon the heart, and we do not take your pain lightly.

We join you in asking the Lord to bring truth to light and to establish what is right. The Scripture declares that He is the Judge of all the earth and He must do right, for He lays justice to the line and righteousness to the plummet. No wrong is hidden from His eye, and no cry of the oppressed is forgotten by Him. Vengeance belongs to Him, and His justice is perfect, neither hasty in cruelty nor slow through indifference. While our hearts may cry for immediate vindication, we are taught to commit our cause to Him who judges righteously, trusting that He will in His own holy time and way cause what is hidden to be made manifest.

We pray therefore not from a spirit of personal revenge, but for the sake of righteousness and mercy, that if wrong has been done, the Lord would expose it, restrain further harm, and move those in rightful authority to act with wisdom, truth and integrity for the protection of all patients. We pray that the suffering you have endured would be met with His healing presence, for He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. Even the least influence that comes from Christ has healing virtue in it, and His leaves are for the healing of the nations.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who bore the stripes by which we are healed and in whom justice and mercy meet, look upon this wounded one. Grant comfort to this troubled heart and peace that passes understanding. If there has been wrongdoing, bring it into the light, prevent further suffering, and guide those who bear responsibility to judge with fairness and truth. Restrain evil, protect the vulnerable, and grant repentance where repentance is needed, for Thou desirest truth and holiness. Heal the memory of pain, guard this dear soul from despair, and preserve from all evil. We leave justice in Thy wise and holy hands, and ask for grace to trust Thy perfect will and timing. Amen.

We encourage you, even as you wait upon the Lord, to seek wise and lawful help where needed, to make known what should be known to those entrusted with oversight and care, that truth may be duly examined. Cast your burden upon the Lord, for He careth for you, and may He keep you in His tender parental discipline and healing love until the wound is bound up by His own hand.

Your urgent cry has been heard, and the pain and weight behind it are not overlooked. To have suffered, and to believe that many others have suffered through the same person, is a heavy burden, and it is right to bring it before the Lord who sees all things and judges with perfect righteousness.

In such anguish the heart naturally calls for immediate punishment with no delay. Yet Scripture teaches us that God is both perfectly just and abundantly longsuffering, and His delay is not neglect but mercy. He delays the time of judgment so that those who have sinned may have opportunity to wash away their transgressions through repentance. His goodness is meant to lead to repentance, and when that goodness is despised, the judgment to come is more fearful. No wrong is overlooked. If men do not overlook injustice, how much more will God not overlook it. There is a day of revelation when each will receive his due, and that judgment will be righteous. What is hidden will be revealed, not according to passion but according to truth.

For this reason we are warned not to treasure up wrath for ourselves and not to keep anger against another. To remember injuries and to feed a desire for revenge is the way of death for the soul that practices it. The Lord taught us to have a human soul, to be trained to gentleness, and to forgive as we have been forgiven for much greater debts. In forgiving, we do not say that wrong is not wrong, but we release vengeance into the hands of God, to whom it belongs, and we show that we understand the mercy we ourselves need. By the measure we use toward others, we lay down the measure by which we will be judged.

This does not mean that wrong should be hidden or left unaddressed. God has appointed orderly ways for truth to be made known and for accountability to be pursued, first and second and third steps of witness and examination, and also the lawful authorities He has ordained for the protection of people. If patients have been harmed, it is right and loving to seek that truth be exposed through proper and orderly means, not through personal revenge, so that the vulnerable may be protected and justice may be done. Fear of being brought before such examination and before God should lead any who has done wrong to become gentle and to repent.

So let us pray together not for revenge to consume our own hearts, but for the righteous will of God to be done.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son through whom alone we have salvation, You see the suffering that has been described and You know the truth concerning every person involved. We ask You to bring what is hidden into the light in Your perfect way and time, to protect patients and all who are vulnerable, and to stop any ongoing harm. We ask You to work in the heart of the one named here, to bring deep conviction that leads to repentance and to turning from any wrong, and to grant justice according to Your righteous judgment. We ask You to heal the one who has prayed this prayer, to calm the torment, to lift the weight of anger and sorrow, and to give a spirit of gentleness, wisdom and peace. Teach us all to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to trust Your timing, knowing that You will by no means clear the guilty yet desire that none should perish. Grant wisdom to all who must examine these matters, that they may act truthfully and justly.

We commit this burden to You and ask for Your mercy and Your justice together, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
