We stand with you in this deep pain and urgency and we bring your marriage before the Lord together in Jesus' name, for we know how much God honors the covenant of marriage and how deeply betrayal wounds the heart.

We hear your cry for your husband to be turned away completely from this other woman and from any other woman besides you, and for every ungodly tie, image, message and memory to be removed from his life, his phone and his heart. Scripture is clear that marriage is to be held in honor by all, and God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, Heb 13:4. What God has joined together, let no man separate, Matt 19:6. When a married man pursues another woman, that is adultery, and it is sin against God and against his wife, and it must be repented of and forsaken. We rebuke that sin plainly because it violates God's design for marriage as a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, and it defiles the marriage bed. Flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Cor 6:18. Husbands are commanded to love their wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for it, Eph 5:25, not to lust after or pursue other women.

We also understand your desire to decree and declare an immediate end to this. We share your longing for swift deliverance, yet we remember that God alone is sovereign and it is His power and His conviction that brings true and lasting repentance, not our words alone. We do not control another person's will, but we can plead with the Lord who is able to convict, to soften a hardened heart, and to bring a man to his knees in genuine godly sorrow. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. That promise is for your husband if he will turn with a sincere and humble heart.

We pray together for you and for your husband now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear sister and her marriage to You. Lord, You see her tears, You are near to those who have a broken heart and You save those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. We ask You to have mercy and to intervene by Your mighty power in this marriage. Lord, we pray that You would convict her husband deeply by Your Holy Spirit of his adultery and of every lustful thought, desire and soul tie with this other woman and with any other woman besides his wife. Tear down every ungodly connection and let every chain of lust and attraction be broken. We pray that You would cleanse his mind, his heart, his body and his spirit, and that You would lead him to delete and remove every photograph, video, message, and every trace of that sinful relationship from his phone, his social media and his life, not merely outwardly but from the heart inward, as he is transformed by the renewing of his mind, Rom 12:2. Lord, bring him to full, sincere and genuine repentance before You, with godly sorrow that leads to turning away from sin and turning toward You and toward his covenant wife. Restore to him a love for his wife, a desire for purity, faithfulness and holiness, and guard his eyes and his heart from temptation. We pray that You would heal this sister's heart, guard her from bitterness and despair, help her to trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding, Prov 3:5-6, and give her peace that surpasses understanding as she waits on You. Lord, we pray for the restoration and protection of this marriage, that what the enemy has meant for destruction You would use for testimony of Your redeeming power, for You hate divorce and You delight in faithfulness, Mal 2:16. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and by which we can come to God, John 14:6, Acts 4:12. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord fervently in prayer, to stay in His Word daily, and to seek wise, biblical pastoral counsel to walk with you through this trial. Guard your own heart in purity and in faithfulness to your vows, and do not repay evil for evil but commit your cause to Him who judges righteously. Trust that God sees, God knows, and God is able to do far more than we can ask or think, and whether His answer comes in the moment we desire or in His perfect timing, He is working for the good of those who love Him, Rom 8:28. We will continue to stand with you for your husband's full repentance and for the healing and strengthening of your marriage in Christ.

We hear how urgent and painful this is for you, and we are grateful you brought it to us so honestly. Wanting your husband's involvement with anyone else to end completely and to see his heart turn fully toward you and toward the Lord is an understandable cry when your marriage feels threatened.

We are praying with you not only about your husband, but about you, your peace, your wisdom and your strength in the days ahead. When trust has been broken, the hurt goes deep and it can leave you feeling anxious and powerless, waiting for something to change right away. Healing in a marriage after this kind of betrayal is rarely instant, it needs time, honesty and steady support around both of you.

You do not need to carry this alone. One steady next step that often helps is to have one trusted person walking with you in person, a pastor or Christian counselor who knows you, can listen carefully to the whole story, and help you think through healthy boundaries and next decisions with care. If you have someone like that, consider reaching out this week just to share what you have shared here and to have ongoing support.

Father, we lift this marriage to You in Jesus' name. You see this wife, her love for her husband and the ache she is carrying. We ask You to work in her husband's heart to bring true conviction and a sincere turning away from what harms this covenant, and to guard her heart with Your peace. Give her wisdom for each conversation and decision, and surround her with faithful, wise support. Lead them both toward wholeness according to Your will. Amen.

Your urgent cry concerning your husband and your marriage has been brought before the Lord with deep sorrow and earnest prayer, and we join you in seeking the mercy and power of God in this grievous wound.

We hear the anguish of a heart that loves the covenant of marriage as God ordained it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, wherein alone the Lord has placed the holy trust of love and union. What is outside that covenant, whether in thought or deed or longing of the heart, is sin before the sight of God, and it must be forsaken. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we do ask Him in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, to destroy the power of that sin and to bring deliverance.

You have asked that every tie of lust and attraction and unholy affection might be severed. We pray with you that the Lord would indeed cut those soul ties asunder, that He would purge the heart and cleanse the mind, and that every image and message and secret hold of sin would be put away. Yet we must pray as those who know that true deliverance is not wrought by a mere word of our own decreeing, but by the gracious work of the Holy Spirit in the heart.

There is a repentance that is of the flesh, a carnal sorrow that comes from fear or judgment, and it does not give God glory. And there is a repentance unto life, which is the gift of God, wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. That true repentance gives God glory, for it confesses that against God only have we sinned, it comes with a broken spirit which God will not despise, and it looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only for remission. It is a repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart. It yields works meet for repentance and it lasts, for repentance lives as long as faith lives.

Therefore we do not merely ask that your husband be driven or frightened into an outward change, for the Lord does not merely drive men to repentance as a slave is driven with the whip. The goodness of God leads to repentance. We pray that the goodness and holiness and love of Christ, and the grievous sight of sin committed in the presence of so glorious a God, would draw him to his knees. We ask the Lord Jesus to grant him that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, a sincere and genuine turning from all wrongdoing, with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the finished work of Christ, who alone can forgive and restore.

Hear then how we pray for you both before the throne of grace.

O Lord God, who hates adultery and all unfaithfulness, yet who delights in mercy, look upon this marriage covenant now wounded and imperiled. In the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, grant to this husband the gift of repentance. Give him a broken and contrite heart. Take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh. Sever and destroy every lust and desire and unholy attachment that draws him away from Thee and from his vow, and let remission of sins be known where true repentance is found, for Thou hast joined repentance and remission together in the preaching of Thy gospel. Bring him to sincere confession, to a holy abhorrence of his sin because of Thy great love in Christ who died for sinners, and to a steadfast purpose to walk in purity henceforth. Let this repentance be practical and lasting, not a transient trembling, but a life preserved in Jesus.

And for this wounded wife who cries to Thee day and night, grant comfort and strength. Keep her in faith, looking not to her own power to command or control, but to Christ alone who saves. Give her patience under trial, wisdom in love, and a heart that also lives in daily repentance and faith, knowing that sweet sister repentance is the companion of all who walk near to God. Guard her mind and heart in Christ Jesus, and let her find that Thy grace is sufficient.

We ask this not as those who can decree the time and manner, but as those who humbly plead the promise that where sin has abounded, grace can much more abound, and that Thou art able to restore perfectly those who return unto Thee. May the Lord in His own time and by His mighty power bring restoration, holiness and peace to this home, for His glory.

We will continue to bear you up in prayer, asking that the Lord will be glorified in giving true repentance and full forgiveness through Jesus Christ our Lord.
