We join with you in prayer together and we lift up your urgent cries before the throne of grace in Jesus name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are heard. We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and by which we can come boldly to God, as it is written Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.

We hear the depth of your suffering and the longing in your heart for complete healing and restoration. You have carried asthma since birth, chronic fatigue and exhaustion, painful periods and hormonal struggles, depression, anxiety and fear, and many afflictions of the eyes and skin that have caused you distress, and we bring each one before the Lord with compassion. We know that our God is the one who heals us, as it says Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also remember that He is near to the brokenhearted, Psalm 34:18 Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

We want to gently encourage you in your understanding of asking and receiving. You quoted ask and you will receive, and that promise is true and precious, yet scripture also teaches us 1 John 5:14 This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. Our asking is to be with faith, but also with humble submission to His perfect will and timing, trusting that His answer is always for our good and His glory, even when healing comes gradually or through means He provides. We also remember that while outward healing is a blessing we can seek, God is most concerned with the inward renewal of our hearts. Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart, 1 Samuel 16:7, and we are reminded 1 Peter 3:3-4 Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning, but the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. Your desire for radiant, healthy skin and relief from every blemish and scar is understandable, and we pray for your comfort and healing, but we also pray that you will see yourself as fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and that you will find your deepest worth and peace in Christ rather than in perfect outward youthfulness.

We also want to speak to the fear, anxiety and depression you mentioned. These are heavy burdens and the Lord invites you to cast them on Him, 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Even though outwardly we may be wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day, 2 Corinthians 4:16, and we can hold to Isaiah 41:10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord for healing while also being a good steward of the body He has given you, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, which includes seeking wise medical care and godly counsel alongside prayer, and resting in His care when symptoms persist, knowing that His grace is sufficient.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious one who is crying out for mercy and healing. Lord, You know every detail of the asthma she has carried since birth, every breath that has been labored, and we ask in Your compassion that You would touch her lungs and airways and bring ease and complete healing according to Your will. Touch her body and relieve the chronic fatigue, exhaustion and tiredness, the painful periods and every hormonal imbalance, and bring her body into balance and strength. Lord, we ask You to lift the weight of depression, anxiety and fear, and replace it with Your peace that passes understanding, with joy and with a sound mind, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self control, 2 Timothy 1:7. Heal her eyes we pray, every dryness, watering, stinging and tiredness, and restore clear and comfortable sight. Touch her skin Lord, every mark, scar, dent, pigmentation, spot, sensitivity and allergy that has caused her distress, and bring restoration and health to her skin and scalp. Above all, Lord, heal her heart and let her know how deeply she is loved and valued by You, not for outward appearance but as Your beloved daughter created in Your image. If it be Your will, perform Your healing work in her body now, and if Your perfect plan includes a process or ongoing grace through trial, give her endurance, hope and unwavering faith to trust You. Help her to rest in Your sovereignty and to seek You first above all else. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your very earnest and urgent cries have been brought before the Lord with prayer, and we have carried your sorrows to the mercy seat where Jesus, our great Physician, still sits to hear and to heal.

We mark how many and how heavy are the afflictions you name, from asthma and weariness and pain, to distress of mind and trouble of eyes and skin, and we do not lightly pass over them. The Lord sees the body in its weakness, and He knows the burden you have carried from your birth until now. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are painful and press us to seek a physician, and it is right to tell the Lord all, even to the smallest mark and care, as you would tell your case to a trusted doctor.

Yet hear the counsel of the Word, that you yourself are better than your body. Your immortal soul is worth far more than that poor frame which will soon pass away. The feeding of the physical frame engrosses much care, but the supply of spiritual food must not be neglected. The first and chief healing we must seek is the healing of the soul, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the man taken with palsy, He said first, Thy sins be forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

We would also lovingly warn you concerning anxiety. We have never discovered that anxiety has comforted anybody, or that it has brought any grist to the mill. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To ask and to plead is good, but to demand of the Lord that He must do all according to our form and time and without delay is to put ourselves out of the place of trust. Our Lord is able to heal, but He is not always engaged in healing at our bidding. There are seasons of His sovereign visitation, and His wisdom chooses how and when He will answer. He has begun to heal His people, and the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle, or any such thing, and His salvation will also perfectly heal our bodies in the resurrection, when those faces shall be fresher than newborn babes.

Therefore make a confidant of Jesus. Tell the case to Him just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Seek first His forgiveness through faith in His blood, for if you believe that Christ can save you and your one anxiety is to be laid at His feet that He may look upon you and save you, He will in no wise cast you out. Cast your care upon Him, and leave your body, your health, your countenance and your future in His wise and tender hands. Use also with thankfulness such lawful means as His providence affords for the body, and pray that He would bless them, but rest your hope not in a flawless skin or a perfect frame now, but in Christ Himself, who is our life and our healing.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would forgive your sins for Jesus sake, heal your broken heart, quiet your fear and anxiety, grant you peace in believing, and according to His perfect will give you such bodily relief and restoration as shall be for your good and His glory, and at last present you faultless and whole before His presence. May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you with healing in His wings, and may you be enabled to serve Him with the strength He restores to you. Amen.
