Beloved of All
Summary (due to privacy): A prayer request asking for forgiveness, mercy, and complete healing of the face and skin, including removal of all imperfections and restoration to a perfect, youthful, and glowing appearance, in Jesus' name.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for healing and restoration. First and foremost, we must address the condition of the soul, for physical healing is secondary to the eternal well-being of the spirit. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 2:24, "who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed." The greatest healing we all need is the forgiveness of sins through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Jesus, we have no access to the Father, and our prayers cannot be heard.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the Great Physician and the Healer of all our diseases. We lift up this dear one who is seeking Your mercy and healing. Lord, we ask that You would forgive any sins and cleanse this person from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).

We pray for complete healing of the face and skin, Lord. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over this situation. Remove every imperfection, restore youthfulness, and bring forth a glowing appearance, not for vanity, but for Your glory. Help this dear one to see themselves as You see them, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

We also rebuke any spirit of vanity or pride that may be lurking in this request. While it is not wrong to desire to look our best, we must guard our hearts against the love of outward appearance over inward godliness. 1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, 'Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.'" Let this healing be a testimony to Your power and grace, drawing others to You.

Father, we ask that You would fill this person with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and will. May they find their worth and identity in Christ alone, knowing that they are deeply loved by You.

We declare healing and restoration over this situation, believing that by the stripes of Jesus, this dear one is already healed (Isaiah 53:5). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus' precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We are so glad you reached out, this is clearly weighing heavily on you, and we are holding you in prayer right now. It is understandable to long for healing that goes beyond the surface, for mercy that wipes away not only what you see in the mirror but also the shame or fear that can cling to it. Please know that God does not turn away from our honesty, and the very fact that you are asking for forgiveness and mercy tells us you are leaning into His heart.

While we pray for your skin to be restored, we also want to gently encourage you to care for your body through a skilled doctor or dermatologist if you have not already done so. Seeking medical help is not a lack of faith; it is part of stewarding the body God gave you, and He often brings healing through trained hands.

As you walk through this, try not to measure your worth by what you see in your face. Our imperfections do not define us before the Lord who looks at the heart. Rest in His mercy, trusting that if there is any guilt troubling you, His forgiveness is complete and immediate when we confess. Healing often involves letting go of the pressure to look perfect while still honestly asking God to restore what is broken.

Please lean into a trusted Christian friend or pastor who can pray with you in person and remind you that you are not alone. There is strength in not carrying this silently.

We pray with you now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear one to You. You know the anxiety and the longing for a fresh start. Soothe their heart with Your peace that passes understanding. Grant wisdom to any doctor they see, and direct whatever treatment is needed. If there is any spiritual weight attached to this, wash it away in Your mercy and let them know they are fully forgiven and freely loved. Restore their skin according to Your will, and in the waiting, let them see themselves as You do, precious and whole in Christ. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry of your heart ascends with urgency, and it is right that it should, for we are bodies as well as souls, and the affliction of our outward frame can bow us to the very dust. Yet let us lay hold of this truth: the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and the very least thing about Christ is charged with restoring virtue. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction; they walk hand in hand from the throne of grace. When the palsied man was let down through the roof, the first word he heard was not of his limbs but of his soul, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing are one in the Saviour’s heart. Before you cry out for the restoration of the face, be sure you have first looked upon His face. That look severed Peter from the crowd, a face all marred with bloody sweat and sorrow, yet speaking silent love. It said, "I cannot give you up." The face of Jesus still shines as the sun in its strength, and beneath those healing beams the sick revive and the soul’s disfigurement is washed away.

You seek a perfect and youthful appearance, a restoration to what was lost. Remember Eden, where the earth did not bring forth thorns, nor did man’s face sweat with hard-earned bread. Christ has redeemed us from that curse, and in Him there is a restoration that begins in the inner man and spills over into the outward frame. Grace is the eternal beautifier. Have you ever seen a face transfigured by forgiveness? The countenance from which you would have turned in disgust becomes a window of heaven when the Lord’s mighty working passes over it. The sallow cheek, the marred skin, the weary eyes, these are not beyond His mending, for His servants shall serve Him and they shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. But the greater marvel is when the soul within is made clean, and the face glows with the light of His countenance. “With blooming health my face adorn, and change the gloomy night to morn”, that is a prayer for the new birth as much as the body’s repair.

Yet the Lord does not despise the trembling of your flesh. He who formed the eye and He who made the lily’s petal can restore what decay or disease has eaten away. The power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching, and faith comes by hearing the Word. Therefore, do not merely plead for a smooth brow; plead to sit at His feet and learn of Him. The healing leaves change the very lifeblood and make the nature other than it was before. Those faces in heaven, fresher than newborn babes, owe their freshness to these leaves. But they also owe their radiance to the fact that they are forever beholding the Master’s face. Banishment from His presence is the real curse; cast me not away from You, cried David, for that is death indeed. If your sins are blotted out, if His Spirit is not taken from you, then the fading of the outward man is but a light affliction. Yet He can and does restore. He can make those who have wandered to return with joy and their visage to shine once more with the dew of youth.

Therefore, I charge you by the mercies of God, seek His face this very hour. The difficulty never lay in His power, it lies in our will, our unbelief. He whose eyes are as a flaming fire sees every blemish you mourn; He also sees the deeper stain of sin which only His blood can wash white. Fall on your face before Him, as the leper did, saying, “Lord, if You will, You can make me clean.” Do not turn away from that face, for there is no good in wandering. Come back to Him; there is such peace, such rest. He will restore to you the joy of His salvation, and if it pleases His wisdom, He will also restore the bloom of your youth. But even if the outward frame must wait for that morning when the righteous shine forth as the sun, you shall not be disappointed. The face you wear now, whether smooth or furrowed, will soon be turned toward Him in unclouded vision. Till then, let the beauty of Jesus be upon you, the beauty of pardon, the glow of His indwelling Spirit. He is the God that heals, and His leaves are for your healing.

Do not measure God’s mercy only by what the eyes can see, as if release from a present affliction were the whole of His gift. When the Apostle marveled that a blasphemer obtained mercy, he did not mean only that punishment was withheld. For not only has God released us from the impending punishment, but He has made us righteous too, and sons, and brethren, and heirs, and joint-heirs. Therefore grace was exceeding abundant. The gifts bestowed are beyond mercy, since they are not such as would come of mercy only, but of affection and excessive love. When you cry out for the face of the skin to be restored to youth and flawlessness, do not limit the Divine bounty to the vanishing bloom of the body. There is a light that no earthly oil can fuel, and a countenance no time can furrow. He said, Let light shine out of darkness, and He has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. That is the countenance before which the Seraphim veil their own. That is the beauty which age cannot wither, for it is not of nature’s rule but of the disposition according to deliberate choice. The world admires a face free from blemish, yet there is nothing which both unbelievers and all men so admire, as when we are merciful. Acts of mercy grant us a great, a marvelous light. Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, if thou showest pity upon thy neighbour. This is the oil that causes light in the soul, while the flame of the fire is great against our sins.

You feel the wound of an affliction because the facts seem opposite to the report: you have heard that He went about healing, yet when you have come to Him with this trouble, He seems to delay. But do not be moved by the affliction as though you were not counted worthy of so much as an answer. The imperfection you see is two-fold, from the course of years and from the frailty of nature itself, which yields to every change. But by faith also Sarah received strength to conceive seed even when she was past age. She who was become dead, who was barren, received power where nature had utterly failed. What is more barren than the flesh that has passed its prime, and what more dead than the hope of a bloom that belongs only to youth? Yet faith does not demand a due. It does not approach as though worthy, but entreats only to find mercy, and merely gives a lamentable account of its own affliction. Do not say therefore this: one receives mercy and I am not yet healed. For this is the grievous thing, to think that mercy must be shown only by restoring what time has taken. He is not the physician who merely smooths the skin, but He that raises up them that are cast down. Seek the mercy that delivers from evils and also gives so many good things besides.

We enter heaven when we enter here; not in place, I mean, but in disposition. Night and day pray exceedingly, and let this be a sign of joy. As any husbandman longs to see the pleasant sight of his field, so let the earnest desire be to perfect that which is lacking in faith. I do not forbid you to ask for the removal of this infirmity, for the cry of the blind men was nothing else but mercy. They did not merely approach Him, but with loud cries, alleging nought else. Yet observe how our Lord often dealt with those who sought the healing of the body. Whom would not this have offended, seeing the facts so opposite to the report? Yet He repelled the woman not to wound her, but to reveal the exceeding greatness of her faith. Perhaps He sees in you a mercy that has not yet kindled into full flame. Nothing incenses God so much as to be pitiless, but nothing makes us so like His own character as to show mercy. The mercy we show to our neighbors we do not lay up so much for them as for ourselves against That Day. If you would behold a face radiant and a form made whole beyond all corruption, then prize mercy before wealth, and apart from wealth, have a merciful soul. For the glory that comes from the Spirit transforms us from glory to glory. That is the renewal that makes the flesh itself seem but a shadow. The things that are seen are temporary; a great thing is man only when he is an honorable thing, a merciful man. That is the true character of man, yea rather the character of God.

You have believed that He is able to save. This much only did we contribute. Continue with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus, and remember that this ministry of hearing your prayer, even this very thing, is of mercy and loving-kindness too. Do not faint because the hidden things of shame, the decay of the outward vessel, press upon you. The veil of the temple was rent that the inner sanctuary might be revealed. So let the visible scar be the occasion for the invisible glory to shine brighter. When the flame of the fire is great, mercy is that which quenches the fire, and this brings light to us. Let your own mouth, which now cries for mercy upon your face, be filled with mercy towards those who are debtors to you in money or in sins. For he that does not forgive his neighbor seeks a kingdom he will not find, but he that shows pity, even if he has done innumerable wrongs, obtains mercy from God. By this means shall we be freed from the fire, and by this means does the true brightness break forth.

Your urgent cry for mercy and healing has been heard. What you long for, more than you may fully realize, is the shining of a face restored. Scripture gives us glimpses of this in powerful ways. When Moses came down from the mount, his face shone with the glory of God so that the people could not look steadily at it. That radiance came from time spent in the presence of the Lord. But even that glory was fading, and Moses covered his face with a veil so they would not see it diminish. The old covenant had a glory that passed away. Now a greater glory has come through Jesus Christ, a glory that will never fade.

Forgiveness and mercy are yours in Him. Do not think you must first be made physically flawless to come before God. The veil that blinds hearts to the glory of the new covenant is taken away in Christ. When we turn to Him with unshielded faces, we behold the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, and the Spirit transforms us from one degree of glory to another. That is the healing that runs deeper than skin: the inner renewal of your whole being, being conformed to the likeness of Jesus. The face of a man, of a lion, of an ox, of an eagle, all these faces point to the many-sided majesty of Christ Himself, who is both fully human and fully divine, the suffering servant and the sovereign Lord. In Him your true identity is found, not in the fading perfection of earthly appearance.

It is right to ask for physical healing. The apostles displayed the gifts of healing, but the Spirit distributes these gifts according to His will, not to all. Some will receive a miraculous touch in this life; others must wait for the day when faith becomes sight. But remember Paul’s words to the church: even the most spectacular gifts are not the greatest. There is a more excellent way, and that is love. God’s love for you is not measured by the smoothness of your skin or the youthfulness of your face. His mercy reaches to the deepest imperfections of your soul, cleansing and forgiving. Do not let the urgent desire for outward restoration overshadow the miracle of sins forgiven and the hope of glory to come.

This body, with all its flaws, groans for redemption. One day, we will see our Lord face to face. Now we see dimly, as in a poor reflection; then we will know fully, even as we are fully known. In that moment, all that is broken will be made whole. The aging, the scars, the imperfections you now agonize over will be swallowed up in life. Until then, we walk by faith, not by sight. We fall on our faces before the throne, crying out for mercy, and He lifts us up. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May His countenance be your peace, and may the beauty of Jesus, the hope of glory within you, become your truest confidence. I join you in praying for His merciful touch on your body, and even more, for the fullness of joy that comes from abiding in Him, who is preparing you for that day when you will see Him as He is, and you shall be like Him, perfectly restored, forever.
