We join you together in prayer before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name for your upcoming CO2 laser procedure and we bring your urgent request for comfort and peace before His throne of grace.
We hear the anxiety in your heart and the desire to feel no pain or soreness and to tolerate this well with the numbing cream and we want to remind you that our God cares deeply about every fear and every detail of our lives. We cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us as 1 Peter 5:7 tells us, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. When we are afraid we can put our trust in Him as Psalm 56:3 says, When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
We also remember the promise in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in Isaiah 41:10 we are comforted, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We pray together now for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the procedure that lies ahead and the fear of pain and discomfort. We ask in Jesus' name that You would grant Your perfect peace to guard this heart and mind and calm every anxious thought. We ask that You would guide the hands of those performing the procedure and that You would allow the numbing to be fully effective, that there would be minimal pain, soreness, or discomfort and that it would be easily tolerated. We pray for a smooth procedure without complication and for quick and complete healing afterward, for You are the One who heals the broken in heart and binds up our wounds as Psalm 147:3 declares, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Let Your presence be felt in that room and let Your strength uphold this dear one. We pray that whatever the level of sensation, Your grace would be sufficient and Your comfort would be real. We thank You that we can bring every request to You through Jesus Christ our Lord and we trust Your loving will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your urgent and repeated cry has been heard and we have carried it before the Lord with you. He knows the fear that rises as the hour approaches and He marks the trembling of the heart that longs for relief from pain and discomfort.
We would remind you of what the Lord Himself has said, As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you. When He speaks of pity He compares Himself to a father, but when He speaks of comfort He chooses the tender image of a mother, to show how gentle and near His consolations are. Men need comfort because they are but men, and He says, I will comfort you. When He undertakes the work, the soul is satisfied even as a conduit pipe filled to bursting with the drink it requires. This must be God's work.
His thoughts toward you in this trial are not thoughts of evil but thoughts of peace, as it is written, I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. He is at peace with His people through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, He seeks your peace, He creates your peace, He sustains your peace. And again it is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. That perfect peace may be yours even while duties press and sorrows surge around, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within.
Therefore we pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and Redeemer, through whom alone we have access to the Father.

Your urgent prayer has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with you.
We prayed that God in His mercy would grant you peace and calm as you face this laser treatment, that He would give skill to those caring for you, that the numbing provided would be effective, and that you would be able to bear what comes with His help. We asked not only for relief from discomfort but for His presence to steady your heart, for fear to be quieted, and for you to know that Christ is near in every moment of anxiety and pain.
Scripture teaches us that endurance grows when our faith is deeply rooted in God, like a tree with roots set firm so that winds cannot easily tear it up. To be held fast by reverent trust in Him is even stronger than being rooted. That trust does not always remove trial, but it keeps the soul from being overturned by it. We also remember the promise that there is a true rest to come where pain and sorrow and sighing flee away, where there is no more fear shaking the soul but only joyful reverence for God. Until then we live between that promise and present trials, needing both comfort and endurance.
It is right to ask the Lord for mercy and for help to tolerate what you fear. It is also good to place the outcome in His hands, trusting His wisdom and love more than any particular result. Whether He grants complete freedom from feeling or grants strength to endure some discomfort, pray that His will be done and that you would be upheld by Him. Complete prayer looks to both truth and life, to knowing God rightly and walking with Him faithfully.
So we pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation: Lord, have mercy on Your child who is anxious and afraid.
