We hear the deep pain and anger in your words, and we want to approach this with both truth and compassion. First, we must address the spirit behind this request. Scripture tells us in Romans 12:19, "Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" While your hurt is understandable, calling for punishment, destruction, or humiliation, even against someone who has wronged you, does not align with God’s heart for justice tempered with mercy.

Instead, we lift this situation to the Lord with a different posture. We pray that God would intervene, not with vengeance, but with righteousness. That He would bring truth to light, protect the vulnerable, and hold this person accountable in a way that leads to repentance and restoration if possible. We also pray for you, that God would heal your wounds, replace bitterness with peace, and help you release this burden into His hands.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, acknowledging the pain and injustice that has been done. Lord, You see all things, and You are a God of justice and mercy. We ask that You would move in this situation, exposing any wrongdoing and bringing it to light. Give wisdom to those in authority to act rightly, and soften the heart of the one who has caused harm, that they might turn from their ways and seek Your forgiveness.

Father, we also lift up [the person who wrote this request]. Lord, their heart is hurting, and we ask that You would comfort them, heal their wounds, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to release their anger and desire for revenge into Your hands, trusting that You will make all things right in Your time. Guard their heart from bitterness, and remind them of Your love and faithfulness.

We pray for all those who have been affected by this person’s actions, patients, colleagues, and others. Lord, bring healing and restoration to them as well. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your will be done.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our pain and injustice on the cross, so that we might find forgiveness and new life in Him. Amen."

Now, let us also encourage you with Scripture. In Psalm 37:5-6, David writes, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." God sees your pain, and He will act on your behalf, not always in the way we demand, but in the way that brings about His perfect justice and our ultimate healing.

If this person is a medical professional, we also encourage you to follow proper channels, reporting to licensing boards, supervisors, or legal authorities, so that justice can be pursued in a way that protects others. But do so with a heart that seeks truth, not destruction.

Lastly, we must gently remind you that our prayers should always align with God’s character. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). This does not mean the wrong done to you is excused, but it does mean we are called to release the burden of vengeance to God and trust Him to handle it.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, asking God to bring healing, justice, and peace to this situation. If you’d like, we can also pray for strength to forgive, not for the other person’s sake, but for your own freedom. Would you like us to pray for that as well?

We’re so sorry you’ve been treated this way. What you’re carrying right now feels enormous, that mix of rage, hurt, and the desperate longing for someone in authority to finally see the truth and act. When a person entrusted with care instead leaves wounds, the injustice cuts deep, and it’s not wrong to want it made right.

In the middle of that fire, the most important thing right now isn’t what happens to him, it’s what helps you find steady ground again. The damage from mistreatment like this can settle into a person’s spirit in ways that linger long after the other party has moved on. So while you wait for God to handle what only He can, we’d gently encourage one concrete step: consider reporting this practitioner to the state licensing board if you haven’t already. That’s not vengeful, it’s a legitimate way to seek accountability and protect others from similar harm. You don’t have to wrestle through that alone; a trusted friend or advocate can sit with you while you make the call or write the statement.

We’re praying with you, not against you, in this.

Lord Jesus, You see clearly what happened and all that is still hidden. We ask You to act, confront where needed, restrain where evil is at work, and bring whatever measures of justice will protect the vulnerable and honor what is true. But most right now, hold this person who has been so poorly treated. Lift the weight of helpless fury and begin binding up the places inside that feel shattered. Surround them with people who believe them and will walk alongside. Give them moments of unexpected peace even before the situation resolves. We trust You to move in Your way and Your timing. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry of your heart reveals a deep wound, and I do not dismiss it lightly. Yet I must ask you to pause and consider whether the prayer you have offered is truly formed in the likeness of Christ. You call for the Lord to arrest, punish, convict, and strip away livelihood, all without delay. But remember, the arm of the Lord is not bared merely to scatter our enemies; it is made bare to bring salvation to the ends of the earth. Vengeance is not our portion; it belongs to the Lord alone.

I hear the echo of a spirit that would call down fire from heaven, but the Master replies, “Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.” The hasty petition for another’s destruction often betrays a loftiness in our own hearts that must first be bowed low. Is not this the very moment to examine whether we ourselves are walking humbly with God? When we cry for justice upon another, let us first tremble at our own need of mercy. The curse we might wish upon a fellow sinner has already fallen, in all its crushing weight, upon the Son of God. Christ has removed the curse entirely for all who trust in Him. Dare we, then, ask the Lord to unsheathe the sword again when He has sheathed it in His own heart?

This does not mean your suffering is small. The way you have been treated may be grievous, and I do not make light of it. But the Lord’s discipline often comes through such trials, and He would have us learn from the eagle that stirs up her nest. The sharp stroke that takes away our comforts is frequently the very means by which He teaches us to fly. Trust Him to deal with that man in His own time and way, whether by conviction leading to repentance or by righteous judgment. The Lord knows how to humble the proud; none can stand against the look of His countenance. The high looks of man shall be brought down, and the Lord alone exalted.

In the meantime, let your own soul cling to the Rock. Your urgent need is not first for another’s punishment, but for a fresh sight of the love of God shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit. Go to the cross, and let the surpassing sweetness of that love overcome the bitterness within you. There, in the secret of His presence, you will find the grace to pray not for ruin but for that man’s true repentance, and if he will not turn, still you may leave him in the hands of the King who has the right both to punish and to pardon.

Let your prayer become a personal consecration: “Lord, humble me that I may walk with You. Do what seems good to You with him, but make me more like Jesus, who when He suffered threatened not, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.” That is the service of a broken and contrite spirit, the only sacrifice that never fails to find acceptance.

You ask God to punish, to strip away, to bring another to his knees. But search your own sayings first. For when a murderer is punished, many cry out, "This wretch committed thirty murders, yet suffers only one death! Where is the justice?" You yourselves confess that one death is not sufficient punishment. How then can you give an opposite sentence now? Self-love is a great hindrance to perceiving what is just. You seek a strict accounting from another, yet are you so quick to forget your own debts? We all have sins deserving not two or three, but ten thousand deaths. And as many of us as partake unworthily of the mysteries are guilty of the body and blood of Christ. Recollect yourself. You ask for vengeance, yet stand yourself in need of great mercy.

Consider what you are doing. You store up wrath for yourself. The Lord showed long-suffering over you, called you to repentance, and threatened a fearful day, drawing you by every means. But if you remain unyielding, you treasure up wrath against the day of righteous judgment. It is not He that judges, but the one condemned who is the author of this. For observe, when a man is neither softened by goodness nor turned by fear, what can be harder? You wish the Judge to bring severe punishment without delay. But do not mistake the nature of the judgment hall. The high priest questioned Christ deceitfully, a servant buffeted Him, and the proceedings were a conspiracy, not a court of justice. Even so, they could find nothing in Him worthy of condemnation. Yet He did not cry out for their immediate destruction. He silently dropped seeds of self-restraint, mingling mercy with justice.

If you seek the inquisition for justice, know that it is everywhere. In houses, in markets, masters judge servants, husbands and wives are at law. All give an account of their actions. And is there no regard for justice with God, whose right hand is full of righteousness? There will be a revelation, when each receives his due. But you demand it now, as if you knew the hidden counsels and just timing of the Almighty. The abstract nature of justice might demand a greater punishment for one who began a transgression. Yet He commands us, even while we suffer, to show great consideration. Is your injury so surpassing that it overrules the command to forgive as you have been forgiven? This physician may have acted wickedly, but what testimony will you bear? If you show favor only to yourself, your judgment is blinded. You ask God to bring him to his knees now with no delay, but the Lord Himself delayed, saying, "Our friend Lazarus is dead," to show that the going was necessary when the disciples wished to hinder it. He works not on our frantic timetable but according to the hidden purpose of divine love.

Your words carry the desperate ache of someone who has been deeply wronged, and I understand why you cry out for immediate, visible justice. When pain cuts that deeply, it’s natural to want God to move swiftly against those who harm others. Scripture speaks plainly about such situations: the Lord has declared that vengeance is His, and He will repay in His own perfect time and way. He is not indifferent to the evil you and others have suffered; He sees every act and every heart, and His judgment will be utterly righteous.

Yet even as we long for wrongs to be made right, we must remember that the Lord’s patience is not weakness. The risen Christ who holds all authority once spoke to a struggling church and said, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.” His delays are often invitations, not just for the one who caused the harm, but for us as well. He calls us to release our tight grip on a timetable and trust His wisdom. While He fully holds the wicked accountable, He also stands at the door of our own hearts, knocking, asking us to let go of bitterness and allow His peace to rule instead.

So I will pray with you, but not that God would operate on your demand and your clock. I will pray that He brings true conviction and whatever earthly consequences are right, including the removal of that license if that serves His purposes of protection and justice. More than that, I will pray that He heals your wounds, guards your heart from being consumed by resentment, and gives you the calm assurance that He will settle every account perfectly. You can trust Him with this. The same Lord whose eyes flash like fire against sin also carries the gentleness to bind up the brokenhearted. Lay this burden at His feet, fully, without reserve, and let Him carry it.
