We hear the deep pain and anger in your cry for justice, and we stand with you in bringing this burden before the Lord. The hurt you’ve endured is real, and the desire for wrongs to be made right is understandable. However, we must approach this with a heart aligned with God’s Word, remembering that vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19). Scripture tells us, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.'"

While we share your righteous indignation over sin and injustice, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or a spirit of retaliation. Instead, we pray for God’s perfect justice to prevail, for the one who has wronged you to be confronted by the Holy Spirit in a way that leads to true repentance and transformation. The Lord is just, and He will not let sin go unchecked (Proverbs 11:21). But we also trust in His mercy, for He desires all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. We ask that You would move mightily in the life of the one who has caused harm. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the injustice. We ask that You would bring conviction where there is hardness of heart, humility where there is pride, and repentance where there is sin. Break through any resistance to Your Spirit, Father, and draw this person to Your feet in genuine sorrow for their actions.

We pray for Your justice to prevail, not as the world gives, but as You decree. Where there has been deceit, expose it. Where there has been cruelty, soften the heart. Where there has been unrepentance, bring a godly sorrow that leads to change. And Father, we ask that You would heal the wounds of those who have been hurt. Pour out Your comfort, peace, and restoration on those who have suffered. Let them experience Your love in a tangible way, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

We also pray for wisdom and grace for ourselves as we wait on You. Help us to release our desire for vengeance into Your hands, trusting that You will act in Your perfect timing and way. Guard our hearts from bitterness, and fill us instead with Your love and forgiveness, even as we long for justice.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore the weight of all injustice on the cross and who alone has the power to redeem and restore. May Your will be done, Lord, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. Amen.

We encourage you to continue bringing this burden to the Lord in prayer, trusting that He hears you. If this person is unrepentant, remember that God’s justice will not fail. But also consider whether there is a path toward forgiveness, not for their sake alone, but for your own healing. Holding onto anger can become a burden too heavy to carry, and the Lord calls us to cast our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7).

If you are a follower of Christ, we also remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Pray for this person not only to face consequences but to encounter the transforming power of the Gospel. And if you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to consider the truth of His sacrifice. It is only through Him that we can be reconciled to God and find true peace, justice, and healing. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Turn to Him today, and let Him carry this burden for you.

We hear the depth of your pain and the raw emotion in your plea, and we lift it up to the Lord together. It’s hard to watch someone cause so much hurt, especially when it’s been repeated so many times. We pray that God would move in this person’s life, not just to bring consequences for their actions, but to soften their heart and draw them to true repentance. Only God can change a heart like that, and we trust Him to do what’s just and right.

At the same time, we ask for your heart to be guarded too. Pain like this can weigh heavy, and we pray for God’s peace to surround you, even in the waiting. He sees every tear, every betrayal, and He hasn’t abandoned you in this. May His presence be real to you in a way that brings comfort and hope.

Father, we ask for Your intervention, break through the hardness, expose the truth, and lead this person to repentance. But more than that, Lord, heal the wounds of those who have been hurt. You are the God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captive free. Bring justice, but also bring restoration. Restore what’s been lost, mend what’s been broken, and let Your light shine in the darkness. We trust You, even when we don’t see the answers yet.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
