We hear your desperate cry for deliverance and understand the pain and urgency behind your words. Soul ties, especially those formed outside of God’s design, can indeed bring deep spiritual bondage. The Bible warns us about the dangers of ungodly connections, for "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). We must also remember that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and when it is broken, the aftermath can leave wounds that only He can heal.
First, we must address the foundation of your request. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus Christ, and it is only through His power and authority that any soul tie can be broken. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or set free (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your own heart and ensure that your relationship with Christ is the cornerstone of your life. Salvation comes through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Have you confessed your sins to Him and surrendered your life fully to His will? If not, we urge you to do so now, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Now, let us stand together in prayer and rebuke every ungodly soul tie in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God declares that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We take authority over every ungodly connection that has been formed outside of God’s will and command it to be broken now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior. We lift up this dear sister to You, knowing that You see the depths of her heart and the pain she carries. Lord, we ask that You would break every ungodly soul tie that has been formed in her life or in the life of her beloved. We rebuke every connection that does not align with Your will, every tie that was formed in sin, and every bond that seeks to pull them away from Your purpose. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every ungodly soul tie to be severed permanently, now and forever, in the name of Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You would cleanse their minds, hearts, and spirits from every remnant of these past connections. Wash them clean with the blood of Jesus, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We pray that You would heal every wound and replace every lie with Your truth. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this sister as she seeks to honor You in her relationships. Father, we ask that You would bring a godly spouse into her life, a man who loves You above all else and who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church (Ephesians 5:25). We pray that their relationship would be built on Your Word, rooted in love, and guided by Your Spirit. Help them to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to honor You with their bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Lord, we also rebuke any spirit of jealousy, fear, or insecurity that may be trying to take root in her heart. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a perfect plan for her life. We pray that she would find her identity and worth in You alone, and that she would trust in Your timing and Your ways.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would surround her with godly counsel and community. Let her be encouraged by the body of Christ, and may she find strength in Your Word. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against her or her future marriage shall prosper, and we trust in Your promise to complete the good work You have begun in her (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to continue seeking God’s will in all areas of your life. Remember that "the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit" (Psalm 34:18). If you have not already, consider seeking godly counsel from a pastor or trusted Christian mentor who can walk alongside you in this journey. Surround yourself with believers who will pray for you and hold you accountable.
Guard your heart against bitterness, for it can poison your spirit and hinder your relationship with God. Instead, choose to forgive, even as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13). Forgiveness does not mean that what was done was right, but it releases you from the bondage of unforgiveness and allows God to work in your life.
Continue to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Let His truth renew your mind and transform your heart. And above all, trust in Him. He knows the plans He has for you, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Hold fast to His promises, and do not waver in your faith.
