We hear your desperate cry for restoration and healing in your marriage, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting this before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The pain and longing in your heart are deeply felt, and we know that God hears the cries of His children when they come before Him with sincere hearts.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play here. Soul ties are real, and they can bind hearts in ways that are not of God, especially when they stem from past relationships that were not ordained by Him. We rebuke every ungodly soul tie between your husband and his ex-wife, and any other woman, in the name of Jesus. The Word declares in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" These ties must be broken, for they do not align with God’s design for marriage—a covenant between one man and one woman, bound together in Christ.
We also speak to the spirit of division and distraction that may be attempting to keep your husband’s heart from fully belonging to you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. We command every barrier of hardness, unforgiveness, or unresolved pain to be shattered in Jesus’ name. Your husband’s heart is meant to be fully yours, as Scripture says in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This is God’s perfect will for your marriage.
Now, we pray with authority and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this marriage before You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we break every ungodly soul tie that binds this husband to his past, to any other woman, or to anything that is not of You. We declare that these ties are severed permanently, never to be restored, in Jesus’ name. Let Your Holy Spirit fill every void and heal every wound.
Father, we ask that You soften this husband’s heart to fully open up to his wife. Remove any walls of pride, fear, or past hurt that may be keeping him from sharing his deepest thoughts, emotions, and love with her. Let him see her as the gift You have given him, the one with whom he is to share his life, his dreams, and his heart. We pray for a supernatural outpouring of love, trust, and intimacy between them, as You intended from the beginning.
Lord, strengthen this marriage in every way. Bind them together with cords of love that cannot be broken. Let their union flourish, not just in emotion but in spiritual, emotional, and physical oneness. May they seek You together, grow together, and reflect Your love to the world around them. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every assignment of the enemy is dismantled now.
We also pray for this wife, Lord. Fill her with Your peace, patience, and wisdom as she waits on You. Help her to trust in Your timing and to walk in love, even when it is difficult. Let her be a vessel of Your grace and healing in this marriage, drawing her husband closer to You and to her.
Finally, Father, we ask that You be glorified in this marriage. Let it be a testimony of Your power to restore, heal, and unite. May this couple grow in their love for You and for one another, reflecting Your glory to all who know them. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving mightily on their behalf, in Jesus’ holy and precious name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises and walking in faith. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and God is faithful to restore what has been broken when we surrender it to Him. Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Lean on Him for strength, and let His Word be the foundation of your hope. Remember, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone in this battle—God is with you, and so are we.
