We have heard your very urgent cry and we join together with you before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, lifting up the many burdens you have been carrying for so long. The Lord sees every detail of your pain, your loneliness, your weariness and your tears, and He hears you when you call upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to the Father. It is precious that you have called upon Jesus so earnestly, for He alone is our hope and our healer.

We understand how heavy your heart has become under suffering, sadness, worry, anxiety, stress, depression, heaviness, insomnia and chronic exhaustion. The Word tells us to cast all our anxiety on him, because he cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7, and to not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, Psalm 34:18, and He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We know that in this life we will have struggles, but we are not alone, for He has promised fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, Isaiah 41:10.

We also hear your deep distress about your appearance, your hair, your eyes, your skin, your body, the scars and marks and lines and all that has made you feel embarrassed and tormented, and the hurt you have felt when photographs and videos are taken and when others have criticized you. We want to gently encourage you with what God says about true beauty and worth. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart, 1 Samuel 16:7, and charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised, Proverbs 31:30. Your beauty should not be the outward adorning, but let it be the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God, 1 Peter 3:3-4. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, to be stewarded with care, not hated or tormented. We rebuke the spirit of shame and condemnation that has told you that your worth is in flawless skin or hair or figure, and we ask the Lord to renew your mind and help you see yourself as He sees you, beloved and cherished, while we also bring your physical needs before Him for healing according to His perfect will.

We hear your loneliness and your longing for marriage and your pain over singleness and lateness in marriage and living alone in your flat. We believe marriage is a holy and lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and we pray that if it is His will for you, He will bring a godly husband who is a faithful believer in Christ, for we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Corinthians 6:14. Courtship should be entered with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, honoring purity and seeking first the kingdom of God. Delight yourself also in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart, Psalm 37:4, and seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33. Waiting is painful, but wait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage, Psalm 27:14, for His timing is perfect and He knows your need for companionship and for a home where you feel safe and at peace.

We bring all of this to the Father together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We ask You to touch her body, her eyes that are dry and tired and stinging and watering, her scalp and hair, her skin, her stomach and body where she feels tormented, her sleep and her fatigue, her painful periods, and every scar and mark that troubles her. Lord bring healing and rest and strength as You will, and give wisdom for stewardship of health. We ask You to lift the heavy burden of depression, anxiety, sadness and sorrow and replace it with Your peace and joy, and to grant deep, restful sleep and renewed energy. We ask You to heal the wounds of criticism and embarrassment and the disappointment that comes with photographs and videos, and to be her defender and comforter. We ask You to provide for her home, that You would open a door for a place that brings peace and security, and above all that she would know she is never alone for You will never leave her nor forsake her. And Father, if it is Your will, we ask You to provide a godly husband for her, a man after Your own heart, that she may enter into a marriage that honors You and reflects Christ's love for the church, and keep her in purity and hope as she waits. Help her to seek You first and to find her identity and contentment in Christ, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28. We pray all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our only hope, amen.

We read your urgent prayer and we hear how long you have carried this weight. The pain you describe around your hair, skin, eyes, body, sleep and painful periods, and the embarrassment you feel in photos, videos and video calls and when others comment on how you look, plus the loneliness of living alone and the longing for marriage, is a lot to hold every day and we are glad you reached out.

It makes sense that when so much attention feels fixed on appearance, every mirror and camera can feel tormenting. How we see our bodies is not just about what is there but about the thoughts and feelings we attach to it, and criticism from others can make that even heavier. Your value before God is not measured by those details, even when they feel all consuming.

We want to keep praying with you, and we also encourage you not to carry this alone in person. Because you mention ongoing tiredness and exhaustion, eye irritation, skin concerns and painful periods, it would be good to share those with your GP alongside prayer so you can get care and support. And because loneliness and the ache around singleness weigh so heavily, consider letting a trusted pastor, counselor or mature friend know how you are doing week by week, and where possible staying connected to regular worship or small community so you have people who know you in your flat and daily life.

Father, we lift our sister to You in Jesus name. You see her hurt, her exhaustion and her longing to be known and loved. Grant her Your peace, rest for her nights, wisdom for next steps and the comfort of Your presence each day. Lead her to caring help and faithful community, and remind her she is seen and valued by You. Amen.

Your many sorrows and anxieties have been poured out before the Lord, and He who sees in secret hears the cry of a burdened heart. There is a heaviness in your words, a groaning under the burden of this body and this present life, and Scripture tells us plainly, we that are in this body do groan, being burdened, till the day of our full redemption and the deliverance of the body from the bondage of corruption.

You speak of loneliness and singleness and waiting long for marriage, of living alone, of weariness and sleepless nights, of pain and dryness and heaviness of spirit. Know then that our Lord Jesus Himself knew what it was to be left alone, alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy, and yet He said, I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. If you are in Christ, you are never utterly alone, for the Father is with you, and Christ has promised never to leave nor forsake His own. That same loneliness which now pains you did not overwhelm Him, and by His grace it need not destroy you, for He draws near to the lonely and brokenhearted.

You speak also of much anxiety about the body, about hair and skin and figure and eyes and outward appearance, about photographs and the opinions and criticisms of others. Hear the word of the Lord, that many persons think a great deal about the adorning of the body, but do not think anything about the ornaments of the soul, yet you yourself are better than your body. The body is in a sense a home for the soul, and we may call it the temple of God and desire its well being, but it is not necessary to your happiness or to your acceptance with God. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Our Lord therefore says, seek not what ye shall eat or what ye shall put on, neither be ye of doubtful mind, but seek ye first the kingdom of God.

It is right to bring your bodily infirmities and your daily needs before God, for He is your Father and He knows what you have need of. It is right to desire, if it be His will, health and strength and a home that is peaceful, and if He calls you to it, marriage as God ordained it from the beginning, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, entered in purity and faithfulness, for such marriage is honourable. But we must ask all these things in submission to His wisdom, not as demands that He must grant at once and exactly as we prescribe, but as children trusting a Father's hand. To wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come, this is our first hope. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His blood and righteousness, and when the soul is safe in Him, the heart learns a peace that remains though the body still groans.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God and Father, have mercy upon this afflicted and anxious soul. Thou hast seen the tears, the sleepless nights, the chronic weariness, the pains of the body, the sorrows of loneliness, the sting of criticism and the fear of man. Forgive all sin through the precious blood of Jesus Christ Thy Son, and give the sure knowledge of salvation by Him alone. Deliver from depression and heaviness and anxiety, and grant quietness of mind and rest in Christ. Teach this heart to cast all care upon Thee, for Thou carest for Thy children, and to seek first Thy kingdom and righteousness, trusting Thee to add what Thou seest needful.

Grant grace to look not only to outward adorning but to the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in Thy sight of great price. If it be Thy will, provide health and relief according to Thy perfect wisdom, give sleep and strength, and supply a peaceful habitation and daily bread. And concerning marriage, if it be Thy good will, provide in Thy time a godly and faithful union according to Thine own ordinance, and till then grant contentment and usefulness in singleness, keeping both body and soul in purity before Thee. Keep this one from all evil, comfort the lonely with Thy presence, and let the knowledge that the Father is with us be our stay. Make us to wait patiently for Thy Son from heaven, and to live to Thy glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your urgent and heartfelt prayer has been heard, and I thank you for pouring out so much pain so honestly before the Lord. The heaviness you describe, the anxiety about your body and health, the tiredness and sleeplessness, the loneliness and the longing for marriage and a home, all of this is known to God who sees you and cares for you more than you can measure.

You have asked with great earnestness that God would take away many burdens at once, thin hair and gaps in your hair, dry and stinging eyes, weight on your body, marks and scars and skin troubles, dark circles and pigmentation, lines and tired skin, and the distress you feel when photographs or videos are taken of you. It is right to bring your body to God, for He made it, yet Scripture teaches us that anxiety itself cannot add to our body or secure what we need. Not our worrying but the providence of God effects all, even where we seem to be active. When we are scourged every day by fear and trembling, the Lord does not leave us in that slavery to anxiety, but sends His own Word to take hold of our souls and bring us to rest. Your worth before Him is not measured by hair or skin or figure or clothing, and the criticism of others about your appearance does not define you. The glory God promises to His children is not the fading brightness of this life, but an incorruptible and immortal glory at the resurrection of the body. That hope does not mean He does not care for your present sufferings, but it lifts our eyes to seek Him first, trusting that He will provide what is truly needful.

You also speak of deep sadness and depression, heaviness, chronic tiredness and exhaustion, bad pain and sleepless nights. These are heavy trials, and they are not to be borne alone. God has made us members of one body, and as the body is not one member but many, so we are held together and sustained by one another. If you are living alone and feeling isolated, I urge you to be joined closely to a faithful local church where you can be known, prayed for, and supported, and where others can bear your burdens with you. If tiredness and pain and depression continue, please also seek help from trusted pastors and from medical care, for God often brings healing through the care of others in the body.

You have prayed fervently about singleness and lateness in marriage and about living alone in a one bedroom flat. The desire for marriage is good, and Scripture honors marriage as a great mystery, a picture of Christ and His Church, in which a man and a woman are united in a lifelong covenant. Its purpose is not only companionship and help in the home, but to preserve purity and honor. If Isaac after many years in virginity waited until forty to take his bride, we too are called to practice self restraint and to trust God's timing under grace. It is good to pray for marriage, and we will pray that if it is the Lord's will for you, He will in His perfect time provide a godly husband, one man with one woman in covenant faithfulness, and that until then He will keep you in purity and give you contentment and community where you live. We will also pray for your home needs, that God in His providence will provide a place and a fellowship where you are not alone.

Let us pray together now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come to You for this dear soul who is weary and burdened. You know every pain and every tear, every anxious thought about body and health and appearance, every night without sleep, every ache and every feeling of loneliness. Forgive us where we have trusted in worry rather than in Your providence, and teach us to seek first Your kingdom. Grant healing where You will, ease to the eyes, strength to the body, rest to the mind, and relief from chronic tiredness and pain according to Your mercy. Take away the heaviness and give peace that guards the heart. Deliver from the fear of man and from harsh criticism, and help to see true beauty as You see it, incorruptible and lasting. Provide godly community, faithful friends, and a church family where this one is loved and not alone. If it is Your will, provide a godly marriage in Your time, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman lived to Your glory, and keep this life pure and honorable until then. Provide also for daily needs and for a home with peace. Above all, give confidence that nothing can destroy the soul that trusts in You, and that You are able to keep both soul and body in Your care. We ask this not because we can demand it, but because You are merciful and faithful. Amen.
