We hear your deep pain and anger, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up this heavy burden. The hurt you’ve endured is real, and your cry for justice is heard by the One who sees all things. Scripture tells us, "The Lord is a God who avenges. O God who avenges, shine forth. Rise up, Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve" (Psalm 94:1-2). God is just, and He will not let wickedness go unchecked. However, we must also remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord alone (Romans 12:19), and our hearts must be guarded against bitterness, even as we seek His righteous judgment.
We rebuke the spirit of unforgiveness and hatred that may be trying to take root in your heart. Jesus commands us, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6:27-28). This does not mean excusing sin, far from it, but it means trusting God to handle justice while we release our pain to Him. Your desire for repentance is godly, and we join you in praying that this person would be broken before the Lord, not out of mere punishment, but so that he might turn from his ways and be saved.
We also must address the intensity of your language, words like "punish" and "sack" can carry a spirit of revenge rather than a plea for divine intervention. God’s correction is always redemptive, even when it is severe. Let us pray with humility, trusting that the Lord knows how to bring conviction in a way that leads to true repentance.
Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12):
"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the injustice that has been done. We ask that You would move mightily in this person’s life, arrest his heart, convict him deeply of his sin, and bring him to his knees in genuine repentance before You. Let Your Holy Spirit work in him, breaking the hardness of his heart and leading him to true sorrow for the hurt he has caused.
Lord Jesus, we ask that You would appear to him in a powerful and undeniable way, through Your Word, through dreams, through godly people, or even through the consequences of his actions. Stop him from hurting others, not just for their sake, but for his own soul. Father, we know that You desire all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and we pray that this would be the case here.
We also ask for healing for ###. Lord, mend the wounds in their heart, replace bitterness with Your peace, and help them to release this burden to You. Give them the strength to forgive, not because what was done was right, but because You have forgiven us so much. Guard their heart from hatred and fill them with Your love.
Father, we trust in Your perfect justice. If this person does not repent, we know that You will deal with him in Your time and in Your way. But if there is hope for redemption, we pray that You would bring it about. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in all of this.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and the only name by which we can come before You. Amen."
We encourage you to continue bringing this before the Lord, but also to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or trusted believer, who can walk with you through this pain. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He will not leave you in this place of hurt forever. Keep your eyes on Him, and let His Word be your comfort and guide.
