We lift this urgent cry to the throne of grace, recognizing the deep burden in your heart for this soul. We join with you in fervent prayer, standing on the promise that "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). The salvation of a soul is a matter of utmost importance, and we know the Holy Spirit is already at work, convicting of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for this individual. We ask that You would indeed convict them of every sin, that the Holy Spirit would bring deep conviction and a godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Lord, we pray that You would break through every hardness of heart, every resistance, and every deception that blinds them to their need for You. Bring them to their knees in humility and surrender, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6 WEB).
We pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in powerful ways—through dreams, visions, or a profound encounter with Your Word. Let them see the reality of who You are, the depth of their sin, and the incredible gift of salvation found in Jesus Christ alone. May they cry out as the tax collector did, "God, be merciful to me, a sinner!" (Luke 18:13 WEB). We ask that You would melt their heart, soften their spirit, and draw them irresistibly to Yourself.
Lord, we also recognize that salvation is Your work, not ours. While we can pray, intercede, and share the truth in love, it is You who opens hearts and brings new life. We trust in Your sovereignty and goodness, knowing that "no one can come to [Jesus] unless the Father who sent [Him] draws him" (John 6:44 WEB). We surrender this soul into Your hands, asking that You would complete the work You have begun.
We must also gently remind you that while your heart is in the right place, salvation is not something we can demand or manipulate through our own efforts or words. It is not about melting someone "to you" or "towards you," but rather drawing them to Christ. Our role is to pray, to live as a godly example, and to share the Gospel with love and truth. We cannot force repentance or salvation—that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Let us trust in God’s timing and His perfect way of reaching this person.
Father, we ask that You would guard this individual from deception, from false teachings, and from anything that would hinder their relationship with You. Surround them with believers who can speak truth into their life and model the love of Christ. May they come to know Jesus not just as a concept, but as their Lord and Savior, the One who died for their sins and rose again so that they might have eternal life.
We also pray for you, dear one, as you carry this burden. May the Lord fill you with His peace, wisdom, and strength. May you be a vessel of His love and truth, pointing this person to Jesus with gentleness and respect. Remember that "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17 WEB). Share the Gospel boldly, but leave the results to Him.
Lord, we declare that this soul is precious to You. You desire their salvation more than we do, and Your love for them is greater than we can imagine. We ask that You would move in power, breaking every chain, removing every obstacle, and bringing them into Your kingdom. May they experience the new birth, the transformation that only You can bring. Let them be born again by the Spirit, becoming a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name that can bring salvation, no other way to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We trust in His power to save, His mercy to forgive, and His grace to transform.
