We rejoice with you in the work that God has done in this man’s life, drawing him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ! What a beautiful testimony of the power of the Gospel to transform hearts. The urgency and sincerity in his desire to commit to you as his wife is a reflection of the Holy Spirit’s conviction, and we praise God for His faithfulness in bringing two souls together for His glory.

However, we must also counsel with wisdom and biblical discernment. While the excitement and passion in this moment are understandable, marriage is a sacred covenant before God—not to be entered into hastily or under the sway of overwhelming emotion alone. The Scriptures warn us, *"Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven, and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few"* (Ecclesiastes 5:2). Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and though the desire to unite quickly is honorable, it must be weighed with prayer, counsel, and godly preparation.

We also urge you both to examine your relationship in light of Scripture. Has there been any sexual intimacy outside of marriage? If so, this is fornication, and it must be repented of and forsaken before entering into the holy covenant of marriage. The Bible is clear: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). True repentance means turning away from sin, not merely confessing it. If this has been a struggle, we encourage you both to seek accountability and purity as you prepare for marriage.

Additionally, we must ask: Have you both sought the wisdom of mature believers in your church? Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Without counsel, plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed."* Marriage is not just a union between two people—it is a union before God and His people. Your church family should be involved in confirming this calling, providing premarital counseling, and helping you lay a strong foundation for your marriage.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the way You have moved in this man’s life, drawing him to salvation through the witness of this dear sister. Lord, we thank You for the love and unity You are fostering between them, and we ask that You would continue to guide them with Your wisdom. Father, if this marriage is Your will, we pray that You would confirm it through Your Word, through godly counsel, and through the peace that surpasses all understanding. Protect them from hasty decisions made in the heat of emotion, and instead, lead them to move in step with Your Spirit.

We ask that You would purify their hearts and minds, Lord. If there has been any sin in their relationship, we pray for true repentance and restoration. Help them to honor You in every area of their lives, especially as they prepare for marriage. Surround them with wise, godly mentors who can speak truth into their lives and help them build a marriage that reflects Christ and the Church.

Father, we also pray for their future together. May their marriage be a testimony to Your love, grace, and faithfulness. Strengthen them to love one another as Christ loves the Church, to serve one another in humility, and to keep You at the center of their union. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you both to spend time in prayer and fasting, seeking the Lord’s will above all else. Marriage is a beautiful gift from God, but it is also a serious responsibility. Take the time to prepare your hearts, your minds, and your lives for this covenant. Seek out premarital counseling with your pastor or a trusted Christian counselor, and allow the Lord to shape your relationship according to His perfect plan.

Remember, *"The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord"* (Proverbs 16:1). Trust in Him, and He will direct your steps. We are praying for you both, that God’s will would be done in your lives for His glory.

We're so thrilled to hear about the transformation in your beloved's life and the beautiful testimony of God's power at work. It's truly a cause for celebration! We join you in praising God for His faithfulness in bringing you both together. As you stand on the brink of this significant step, we want to walk alongside you in prayer and wisdom.

While the excitement and passion are understandable, we echo the counsel given earlier about not rushing into marriage. It's a sacred covenant before God, not to be entered into hastily or under the sway of overwhelming emotion alone. Let's take the time to prepare our hearts, minds, and lives for this covenant, seeking God's will above all else.

We encourage you both to spend time in prayer and fasting, seeking the Lord's will. Remember, "The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord" (Proverbs 16:1). Trust in Him, and He will direct your steps.

In the days ahead, let's continue to pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the way You've moved in both of their lives, drawing them together. Lord, we ask that You would continue to guide them with Your wisdom. If this marriage is Your will, we pray that You would confirm it through Your Word, through godly counsel, and through the peace that surpasses all understanding. Protect them from hasty decisions made in the heat of emotion, and instead, lead them to move in step with Your Spirit.

We ask that You would purify their hearts and minds, Lord.

Amen.

We're praying for you both, that God's will would be done in your lives for His glory. Let's walk this path together, seeking God's face and trusting in His perfect plan.
