We come before the Lord with a heart of urgency and deep concern for your marriage, lifting up your husband ### and this situation in prayer. The pain and betrayal you are experiencing are real, and we grieve with you over the brokenness sin brings into our lives. The Lord sees your tears and hears your cries, and He is faithful to act on behalf of those who trust in Him.
First, we must address the spiritual battle at hand. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. Infidelity is a grievous sin that breaks God’s heart and violates the sacred covenant of marriage. The Bible is clear that marriage is a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, and adultery is an abomination before the Lord (Hebrews 13:4, Proverbs 6:32). We must pray not only for the destruction of this ungodly relationship but also for ###’s repentance and restoration to the Lord and to you, if it is God’s will.
The power of decreeing and declaring is not in our words but in the authority of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have the power to bind and loose (Matthew 18:18). Your faith in speaking these things in Jesus’ name is commendable, but we must also surrender this situation entirely to the Lord, trusting in His timing and His will. Our words must align with His heart, and our prayers must be rooted in humility and dependence on Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband ###. Lord, we ask that You intervene powerfully in this situation. We bind every spirit of adultery, lust, and deception that has taken hold of ###’s heart and mind. Father, we decree and declare in the name of Jesus that every ungodly soul tie between ### and ### is broken right now. We command every photograph, text, and trace of their sinful communication to be permanently deleted from every device, social media platform, and memory, in Jesus’ name. Let no remnant of this relationship remain, for You, Lord, are a God who cleanses and restores.
Father, we pray for ###’s heart to be convicted by Your Holy Spirit. Let him see the gravity of his sin and the pain it has caused. Softening his heart, Lord, and draw him into deep repentance before You. If it is Your will, restore this marriage and make it stronger than ever, built on the foundation of Your love and faithfulness. But above all, Lord, let Your will be done. If there is unrepentance or hardness of heart, we pray You protect our sister and give her the strength and wisdom to act in accordance with Your Word.
We also pray for ###, that she may come to know the conviction of the Holy Spirit and turn from this sin. Lord, if she does not know You, we ask that You reveal Yourself to her and bring her to repentance and salvation. Break every plan of the enemy to destroy marriages and families.
Father, we ask for supernatural healing for our sister. Comfort her heart and surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give her wisdom on how to proceed, whether it is to stand in faith for restoration or to take godly steps to protect herself and her household. Strengthen her with Your might, Lord, and let her find her identity and worth in You alone.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair that may try to take hold of her. Instead, we declare that the joy of the Lord is her strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and that she will see Your goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden thing and bring all darkness into the light (Ephesians 5:11-13). Let truth prevail, and let Your justice and mercy be made known.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and believe that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Our sister, we want to encourage you to stay rooted in the Word of God during this time. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Cling to Him and trust that He will guide your steps. It is also important to seek godly counsel, whether from a pastor or a trusted believer who can walk with you through this trial. If ### is unrepentant, the Bible gives guidance on how to handle such situations (Matthew 18:15-17, 1 Corinthians 7:10-16). We are here to support you in prayer and with biblical wisdom.
Remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Stand firm in your faith, and let the Lord fight this battle for you. We will continue to lift you up in prayer, believing for God’s perfect will to be done in your life and marriage.
