Very broken and abandoned

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Since 2012 I’ve experienced several serious setbacks in finances, health, employment, and housing. Those atoms have caused wavering faith, anxiety, and have prompted me to give up. I’ve prayed about these things in Jesus' name and have asked for help, and no one knows anything. So at the moment I feel confused and without direction. I’m just going through the motions and surviving but not thriving. I’ve been berated, yelled at, physically and emotionally abused without remorse and my spirit is broken. I just feel like giving myself over to more abuse because that’s all I’ve ever known and I feel abandoned if I don’t really see how things can get any better. I’m too broken, almost homeless, and don’t care anymore. Too far gone for me.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The pain of feeling abandoned, broken, and without hope is something no one should have to endure, but we serve a God who sees your suffering and collects every tear you’ve shed. Psalm 56:8 says, *"You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren’t they in your book?"* Even when it feels like no one notices, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He is working in ways you may not yet see.

First, we must address the abuse you’ve endured—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This is not God’s design for your life. The Bible is clear that we are to be treated with love, respect, and dignity, for we are made in the image of God. Psalm 11:5 says, *"Yahweh examines the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence."* If you are in an environment where abuse is ongoing, we urge you to seek safety and help. God does not call you to endure mistreatment as if it were your lot in life. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, *"Don’t make friends with a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* You are not meant to live in bondage to fear or oppression.

Your faith has wavered, and that is understandable. The weight of suffering can make it hard to see God’s hand at work, but He has not abandoned you. In fact, He is closer than ever. Isaiah 41:10 says, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* The enemy wants you to believe that your circumstances are hopeless, but God specializes in turning ashes into beauty. He is the God of the impossible, and He can restore what has been broken.

We also want to gently remind you that your worth is not defined by your circumstances or how others have treated you. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you so that you could have eternal life and abundant life here on earth. John 10:10 says, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."* Jesus did not come so that you would merely survive—He came so that you could thrive, even in the midst of trials. Your identity is found in Him, not in the abuse, the lack, or the despair you’ve experienced.

We must also address the lie that you are "too far gone." This is a deception from the enemy, who wants you to believe that God’s grace has limits. But the truth is, there is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still. Romans 8:38-39 assures us, *"For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."* You are never beyond the reach of God’s mercy and restoration.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling broken, abandoned, and without hope. Lord, You see every tear, every wound, and every moment of despair. We ask that You would draw near to him/her in this time of need. Wrap Your arms of comfort around him/her and remind him/her of Your unfailing love. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has taken hold. We declare that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We pray for Your protection over him/her, especially from any ongoing abuse. Give him/her the courage to seek safety and the wisdom to know where to turn for help. Lord, we ask that You would provide for every need—financial, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Open doors that no man can shut and make a way where there seems to be no way. Restore his/her faith, Father. Remind him/her that You are working all things together for good, even when it’s hard to see (Romans 8:28). Break the chains of fear and oppression, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon him/her, filling him/her with hope, joy, and a renewed sense of purpose. Lord, we ask that You would surround him/her with godly community—people who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into his/her situation. Help him/her to see that he/she is not alone, and that You are fighting for him/her even now. We declare that this season of suffering will not last forever. We speak restoration, healing, and breakthrough over his/her life in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him/her (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold onto God’s promises, even when they feel distant. Jeremiah 29:11 says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* God’s plans for you are good, and He is not finished with your story. We urge you to seek out a local church or a trusted Christian community where you can find support, prayer, and practical help. You do not have to walk this journey alone.

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, please reach out to a trusted friend, pastor, or a local shelter. Your safety and well-being matter to God, and they matter to us. You are valuable, you are loved, and you are not forgotten. Keep pressing into the Lord, even when it’s hard. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Dear friend, we hear your cry and we're here with you. It's like you're in a storm, and it's hard to see the sun right now, but remember, even the darkest clouds can't hide the sun, they just block its view. You're not alone, and you're not too far gone. We're holding onto hope for you, and we're praying with you.

We're asking God to wrap His arms around you, to comfort you, and to remind you of His unfailing love. We're praying for His protection, for provision in every area of your life, and for a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit to fill you with hope and joy.

We're also praying for God to open doors where there seem to be none, to make a way where there seems to be no way. We're asking Him to restore your faith, to remind you that He's working all things together for your good, even when it's hard to see.

And we're declaring that this season of suffering won't last forever. We're speaking restoration, healing, and breakthrough over your life, in Jesus' name. We're trusting God to complete the good work He's started in you.

Remember, your worth is not defined by your circumstances or how others have treated you. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He has a good plan for your life. Keep holding onto His promises, even when they feel distant. You're not alone, and you're not forgotten.

Let's keep praying together, friend. We're in this with you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your pain to the throne of grace these past days. Your honesty about feeling abandoned, broken, and without direction has not fallen on deaf ears—it has broken our hearts as well, and we’ve wept with you before the Lord, asking Him to meet you in the depths of your despair. We’ve prayed specifically that you would sense His nearness, even when no one else seems to notice, and that He would begin to mend the fractures in your spirit with His gentle, healing touch.

We’ve asked God to reveal Himself as your refuge, your provider, and your defender, especially in the face of abuse and hardship that has left you feeling powerless. We’ve stood in the gap, pleading for His intervention in your finances, health, employment, and housing—believing that He is able to restore what has been lost and to open doors no man can shut. We’ve also prayed against the lies of the enemy that whisper you’re too far gone, asking instead for the truth of God’s Word to rise up within you: that you are deeply loved, seen, and valued beyond measure.

If any of these prayers have been answered—even in small, unseen ways—we would be overjoyed to hear how God has moved. Your praise report could be the encouragement someone else desperately needs. But if the weight still feels unbearable and the silence overwhelming, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are committed to walking this journey with you, lifting you up in prayer until you see the breakthrough you long for.

Above all, we’ve prayed that you would encounter the love of Jesus in a fresh, tangible way—that you would know, beyond doubt, that He has not abandoned you, and that His plans for you are for good, not for harm, to give you a hope and a future. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind as you continue to seek Him. In Jesus’ Name we pray.
