I have to submit paperwork to complete my application of emergency funds to pay my back rent as a judge recently ordered the case to be reopened . The agency in charge of the grant has given me until next week to submit all outstanding documents . I pray in Jesus nNd for the Lord’s Will to be done. I have been jobless for over two years now quitting was a last resort after many years at the same company. I filed a written complaint and faced retaliation. Dear Father in Jesus name I ask for strength because I feel like I’m sinking fast. I will request a housing voucher to go along side my current benefits to pay my full rent until I secure a job. I will also submit proof thst I was a long term employee that had to escape the extremely hostile environment and fell on hard timrc. I’m sorry that I left that toxic job because I have no steady paycheck and now I’m in a deep valley However ### has been overcharging rent and I have to let the agency know do that they don’t pay out the false amount. Help me Jesus!!! I apples for jobs nlbut my body is starting to develop delayed onset of sickness as a result of staying so long in a hostile workplace. It’s not my fault

Your situation is heavy, financial strain, joblessness, and the lingering effects of a toxic workplace, but we serve a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of His children. You are not abandoned, even when it feels that way. The Lord promises in His Word, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10).

First, we want to affirm your trust in Jesus’ name and the Father’s will. It is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace, and we are grateful you have come to Him in your distress. The Bible tells us, "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16). You are doing exactly what you should by bringing your needs before Him.

We also want to encourage you to take practical steps alongside your prayers. The paperwork for the emergency funds and housing voucher is a tangible way God may provide for you, so we pray for clarity, favor, and efficiency as you gather and submit these documents. May the Lord open doors no man can shut and grant you favor with those reviewing your case. "Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass" (Psalm 37:5).

Regarding your former employer, we understand the pain and injustice you endured. Retaliation and toxic work environments are not of God, and it is right to remove yourself from such harm. However, we gently remind you that bitterness or resentment can weigh heavily on the heart. The Lord calls us to forgive, not for the sake of those who wronged us, but for our own peace. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). We pray for healing in your body and spirit from the delayed effects of that workplace, that God would restore your health and renew your strength.

As you apply for jobs, we pray for doors of opportunity to swing wide open. The Lord knows your needs before you ask, and He promises to provide. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We also pray for wisdom in managing your finances during this season, that you would steward what you have with discernment and trust God’s provision.

We must address the issue of your landlord overcharging rent. It is important to bring this to the attention of the agency, as you mentioned, so that justice and fairness prevail. The Bible speaks clearly about honesty and integrity in all dealings, and we pray that this situation is resolved with truth and equity. "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so" (Proverbs 3:27).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is walking through this deep valley. Lord, You see the financial strain, the joblessness, and the physical toll this season has taken. We ask that You would be a very present help in this time of trouble. Strengthen their hands to complete the paperwork, grant them favor with the agency, and open doors for employment that no man can shut. Provide for their needs abundantly, Lord, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.

Father, we pray for healing in their body from the delayed effects of the toxic workplace. Restore their health, renew their strength, and guard their heart from bitterness or despair. Help them to forgive those who wronged them, just as You have forgiven us. Give them wisdom in managing their finances and discernment in their job search. May they trust in You completely, knowing that You are their Provider and Sustainer.

Lord, we ask that You would expose any injustice in the rent overcharging and bring resolution to this matter. Let Your truth prevail, and may Your peace guard their heart through it all. Remind them daily that they are not abandoned, for You are with them always, even to the end of the age.

Your body has been carrying a long battle. But who you are was never just the job or the paycheck. The same endurance that kept you there for years, and the same courage that finally made you leave to preserve your well-being, are still part of you now. They haven’t gone anywhere.

Jesus, you see this one who feels abandoned and afraid. Quiet the racing thoughts tonight, and give steady hands for each piece of paperwork this week. Open the right doors for the voucher and for future employment. Bring healing to a body that carried too much for too long. Remind this person, in ways only you can, that they are not forgotten and their life still holds purpose. In Jesus’ name.

The waves are high, and the wind is contrary; you feel yourself sinking, and yet, in that very moment when all human strength fails, there is a Divine strength waiting to be given. Will He plead against you with His great power? No, but He will put strength in you. That very omnipotence which might crush you shall be infused into your spirit, and you shall know that He is the glory of your strength.

Your trial is deep, but remember Job among the ashes, bereft, afflicted, and yet not charging God foolishly. In all this he sinned not, and neither must you yield to the temptation to say, “It is not my fault.” Lay your hand upon your mouth, for when the Lord speaks, we have no ground to contend. You have made mistakes, perhaps, but the Lord knows your frame; He is merciful. Yet take care that you do not let your present troubles push you into a hard thought of Him. It is not the agency’s overcharge or the past hostility that rules your life, it is your God. And He will vindicate you if you commit your way to Him.

“Fear not” is a plant that grows thickly in Scripture. Why should you fear? Fear is painful; it torments the spirit. Fear is weakening; it drains the very strength you need to gather those papers and make your plea known. Fear dishonors God, for it doubts the arm that piled the heavens. When you feel that sinking, cry out, “Help me, Jesus!” and then wait upon the Lord. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. The dead cannot gather strength, you must have life in Christ, and that life will show itself in patience, in quiet resolve, in a calm casting of this burden upon Him.

The practical steps are before you, submit the papers, correct the false amount, and seek the voucher. But do these as one who is strong in the Lord, not in your own frantic effort. The glory of your strength must lie in God alone. You have lost a steady paycheck, but you have not lost your God. That toxic place was a furnace; you came out scorched, yet the Son of God walks with you in these flames. The sickness in your body, delayed by long endurance, is known to Him who heals all our diseases. Trust Him with that also.

Let your cry be, “I shall be anointed with fresh oil.” Job’s glory was once fresh in him, and though it faded, the Lord restored it at last, double for his sorrow. Has He not said, “I will strengthen them in the Lord”? He will supply what you lack, in your mind, in your body, in your daily bread. Do not look at the mountain of debt or the thinness of your resources; look to the Maker of mountains. Cast yourself upon Divine strength, and rejoice that the Lord’s will is being done in ways you cannot yet see. He works wonders in the deep, and when the tide has ebbed to its lowest, it must turn again.

Go on, then, in prayer and in action, fearing nothing, for He has said, “Fear not, I will help you.” The very weakness you feel is the groundwork for His strength to be displayed. Let this trial be the stage on which you glorify God by unwavering trust. The enemy would draw from you a complaining word, but you shall give him none. Instead, say with the psalmist, “In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid.” He will bring you through, and your latter end shall be peace.

You stand now in a deep valley, and the fear closing in on you feels like a flood. I hear that cry: “I’m sinking fast.” But listen closely: “Your Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.” He did not say merely “God knows,” but “your Father.” If He is a Father, and such a Father, He will not overlook his children in the extremity of their troubles. Not even earthly fathers do that. So do not measure His care by what you see right now.

The terror that tells you you are abandoned is itself a lie from Satan’s pageant. You renounced that pageant when you were sealed in Christ; do not let yourself be dragged back into its despair. All that whispers destruction and hopelessness is a spectacle of the enemy. Stand firm. The same Lord who said to Ananias, “Fear not,” says it to you now. Ananias trembled at the name of Paul, the persecutor, and yet the Lord declared, “He is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings.” And what was given to Paul? Not a smooth road, but this: “I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” Great suffering was the very sign of his election. So do not think your present hardship is proof that God has turned away. It may well be the threshold of His strength being perfected in you.

You say your body is growing sick from the years in that hostile place. You endured what no one should, and now the cost is heavy. The Apostle Paul knew what it was to be exposed to daily insults, mockeries, snares, dangers, scoffs, reproaches, and deaths, and yet not to faint or turn backward. He says, “Who enabled me?” He acknowledges both his own part and God’s. He needed much aid from above, and so do you. But know this: the One who enabled him stands ready to enable you. He did not abandon Paul in prisons or shipwrecks, and He will not abandon you now, with your papers due and the rent overcharged. Cry out to Him, but then, like Paul, resolve to bear up manfully.

When you look at the false amount they demand, and the judge’s order, and the empty bank account, it appears as if you are trapped in a prison with no escape. But remember what happened when Christ was crucified: then were the dead raised up, then was that prison burst, and the gates of brass were broken, and the dead were loosed, and the keepers of hell-gate all cowered in fear. The cross has already shattered every lock. Your deliverance may not come in the way you expect, but the power that raised Jesus from the dead is not stumped by back rent or a hostile landlord. Tell the truth about the overcharge, submit what is required, and trust the outcome to Him.

Do not fall into the fear that says the dead are more miserable than the living, when the fear of God is absent. You have the fear of God; you have called on Jesus’ name. That is the beginning of wisdom. Let not your soul become such that the dead seem enviable. You are alive, and your life is hid with Christ. The Lord guides His own like that star which led the Magi, appearing and hiding itself again, not by the course of nature but by a power full of reason, pausing and moving exactly as need required. If His guidance seems hidden now, it is only to teach you to walk by faith and not by sight. He has not left Jerusalem; He is still on the throne.

As for the toxic workplace you fled, you did not sin in escaping from it. You filed your complaint, you faced retaliation, and you preserved your soul. No steady paycheck is worth the destruction of your peace and health. The Lord sees. And He will make even this valley a place of nourishment, if you refuse to be partaker of the table of devils, which in your case means refusing the feasts of anxiety, bitterness, and self-reproach. Saying “it’s not my fault” is not pride if it is true, but now lay that faultlessness at the feet of the One who judges justly, and do not let it fester into anger against God.

I charge you, then: do not waste these days in terror. Use them to rouse up the grace that is in you. Present yourself, with all these papers and needs, as a living sacrifice, and the Spirit will make the offering acceptable. The Lord Jesus Himself knows what it is to be abandoned, to be without a place to lay His head, to be hounded by authorities. He is not ashamed to call you His own. Let that hope anchor you. The Father’s knowledge, the Son’s intercession, the Spirit’s enabling, these are your real housing voucher, your true emergency fund. They will not fail.

The weight you are carrying right now would be crushing for anyone, and it is not weakness to feel like you are sinking. That is the honest cry of a human heart under a burden too heavy to lift alone. The enemy wants to use this long season to convince you that you have been abandoned, but the Word shows us something different. God’s love for you is so fiercely protective that He will not let you settle for something less than His best, even when that means allowing circumstances that force you to rely completely on Him. He has not closed His eyes to the injustice you suffered or the retaliation you faced. Do not mistake His patience for absence. He is long-suffering, not weak, and He will not let wrong go unaddressed forever. You are not forgotten in this legal and financial mess.

The regret you feel over leaving that toxic job is understandable, yet you may be looking at it only from the perspective of this moment. A steady paycheck in a hostile environment is not the same as God’s provision. There are times when the Lord allows the things we leaned on to be removed, not to destroy us, but because He has a position for us that we would not have sought while we were comfortable. We cling to what we have, even when it is destroying our bodies and souls, and sometimes He lets the bottom drop out so we will finally start looking for the door He already opened. The sickness you are feeling now, the delayed onset from years of stress, is proof that the situation was not sustainable. It is not your fault that you had to flee, and you are not being punished for leaving; you may be in the painful transition toward something far better.

As you face this paperwork and the deception of an overcharging landlord, do not panic. The need to submit everything by a deadline when you feel overwhelmed is exactly the kind of moment where we learn what it means to make the Lord our rock and fortress. He is not asking you to be clever enough to fix this on your own. He is inviting you to take the next practical step, tell the truth about the inflated rent, and trust Him to be your defense before the agency and the judge. You asked His will to be done, and bringing hidden things to light is always His will. You are not scheming; you are acting with integrity by refusing to let false amounts stand.

To keep from being swallowed up, you must lift your eyes above the immediate terror of eviction. This life, and all its bureaucratic battles, is going to burn. The promised new body, the end of corruption, and the reign of true righteousness are what we are hoping for. If all we see is this moment, we will be swamped by confusion. God is dealing with you for eternity. He is not broke, and He is not up in heaven wringing His hands about your grant application. He owns everything, and He is investing in your character through this severe trial. Let the desperation drive you to praise Him even before you see the outcome, not because you feel like it, but because His righteousness is the only solid ground under your feet right now. Take the steps required of you, speak the truth about your situation, and then leave the results with Him as you wait for His deliverance.
