We join together with you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, and we thank you for sharing these burdens so honestly with us.
We hear your cry for freedom from sexual addiction and maladaptive daydreaming. We understand you have said there are reasons why you struggle, and we have compassion for the pain and history that may have contributed to this, yet we must lovingly speak the truth that sexual immorality in any form outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin before God and harms the soul. Whether it is fornication, adultery, pornography, or lust in the heart and mind, God calls us to flee from it and to walk in purity. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit and we are to glorify God in our body and spirit which are His. Maladaptive daydreaming can also become a stronghold where the mind escapes reality and builds its own world, but God calls us to bring every thought into obedience to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Romans 12:2 says Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. We encourage you to confess this struggle openly to God, for 1 John 1:9 promises If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We encourage you to seek daily renewal through the Word, prayer, fasting, and accountability with mature believing women who can walk with you, and to replace fantasy and lust with truth and worship, trusting that God will provide the way of escape as promised in 1 Corinthians 10:13.
We also stand with you in prayer for the African American community. We agree that God loves every people and that His desire is for all to know the truth of the gospel without distortion. We pray against false teachings and wolves who exploit and lead astray, for Jesus warned in Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. We pray that God will raise up faithful teachers and shepherds who preach Christ crucified and risen, who handle the Word correctly and lead people truly to salvation, for Ephesians 4:11-12 tells us He gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints. We pray that those who deceive for gain or power will be exposed and removed and no longer able to harm the flock, as in Acts 20:29-30.
We join you in praying for healing and protection from racism and hatred. We know this pain is real and deep, and we ask God to be your shield and comforter. We know that in Christ there is no favoritism, for Galatians 3:28 says There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. We pray that God will protect you from the hatred of the world, heal the wounds it causes, and help you to walk in forgiveness and love even toward enemies as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44, while trusting that vengeance belongs to the Lord as Romans 12:19 says.
We bring before the Lord your business and your need for provision. We pray that God will supply what you need according to His riches and wisdom, and that your work will honor Him. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We pray that He will grant you diligence, integrity, and favor, and that success will be measured not only in funds but in faithfulness and in being a blessing to others.
We pray with you against the demonic harassment you have endured for years. We know our struggle is not against flesh and blood, as Ephesians 6:12 says, but against spiritual forces, and we have authority in Jesus Christ to resist. James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 1 John 4:4 says Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. We pray that you will put on the full armor of God daily in Ephesians 6:11, stand firm in the truth, and walk in the freedom Christ purchased for you.
We also lift up your physical suffering with your menstrual cycles and the condition that makes them worse physically and mentally. The Lord sees your pain each month and He is compassionate toward His daughters. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We pray for your healing and strength, and for all women who suffer with this condition, that God would bring relief, wisdom to doctors, and a cure according to His mercy.
We thank you for mentioning Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and deliverance for our sister. Lord, forgive and cleanse her from all sexual sin and wash her in the blood of Jesus, break every chain of addiction and fantasy, renew her mind and make her thoughts captive to Christ, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit and a love for purity and truth. Raise up godly teachers in the African American community who will preach Your Word faithfully, expose and remove every wolf, protect Your people from deception, racism and hatred, and let Your healing and justice flow. Provide for her business according to Your will and let it prosper for Your glory. Rebuke and drive away every demonic harassment that has targeted her, surround her with Your angels and Your peace, and place a hedge of protection around her. Touch her body, Lord, ease her pain, heal her condition, restore her physically and mentally, and bring healing to all women who suffer likewise, that a cure may be found. We trust You as our healer, provider, deliverer and righteous judge, and we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
