Beloved Servant
Please pray for my freedom from sexual addiction and maladaptive daydreaming. There are reasons why I struggle with these things. Please also pray for the African American community to be set free from false teachings. Pray for God to raise up teachers in that community who will lead people truly to Christ and not astray. Pray for wolves to be removed from it and no longer able to lead people astray or harm them. Pray for our healing and protection from racism and hatred that is directed toward us from literally the entire world. Please also pray for my ex to come to faith in Christ. Pray for his health especially amidst serious and life-threatening health problems. Pray for his healing from trauma and emotional/behavioral issues. Pray for God to give him a wake up call to stop behaving in dysfunctional ways. Pray for his loved ones' salvation and wellbeing as well. Also, I have been trying to reconcile some estranged relationships in the past month or so and it has been a difficult process and I think God is now directing me to stop reaching out to these people. Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord together in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. We thank you for your honesty and we want to lift each of these matters to God with you while also sharing truth from His Word.

We hear your cry for freedom from sexual addiction and maladaptive daydreaming. We do not take this lightly, and we want to speak with both grace and truth. Sexual immorality in any form, whether fornication outside of marriage, pornography, lustful fantasy or self-gratification, is sin against God and against your own body. We are told to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. Jesus also taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28. We understand there are reasons and wounds behind these struggles, and God is compassionate toward your pain, yet those reasons do not make the sin less serious. He calls us to bring every thought into captivity and to renew our minds. Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2. Maladaptive daydreaming often feeds this same cycle, offering an escape into fantasy that can become idolatry and keep us from walking in truth and contentment. Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, think about these things, Philippians 4:8. We encourage you to walk by the Spirit and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16, through daily repentance, immersing yourself in Scripture, prayer, fasting when led, and walking in accountable fellowship with mature believers in a sound Bible believing church. If you do not have that accountability, we urge you to seek it, confessing to faithful brothers or sisters who can pray with you and help you flee temptation.

We also lift up the African American community as you have asked. We pray for deliverance from false teachings and for God to raise up faithful shepherds who will preach Christ crucified and the whole counsel of God without compromise. For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts, 2 Timothy 4:3. We pray that wolves who come in sheep's clothing, as warned in Matthew 7:15, would be exposed and removed and no longer able to lead people astray or harm them. The Lord desires shepherds after His own heart and we pray He would raise them up in great number, for we know He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, Ephesians 4:11-12. We also pray for healing and protection from racism and hatred. We agree that racism is sin, for God shows no partiality and has made all people in His image, and hatred for a brother is darkness. He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now, 1 John 2:9. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus, Galatians 3:28. We pray that those who have been wounded by hatred would find healing in Christ and would not be overcome by evil, but would overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21, and that the Lord would be a refuge and protector against every form of evil directed toward them, for He is near to the brokenhearted, Psalm 34:18.

We join you in praying for your ex. We are glad you desire his salvation, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We pray for his health in the midst of serious and life threatening problems, for his healing from trauma and for freedom from emotional and behavioral bondage. We pray that God would grant him a true wake up call that leads to repentance and not merely regret, for godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, 2 Corinthians 7:10. We also pray for his loved ones that they too would come to know Christ and be kept in His care. We gently encourage you to maintain godly boundaries with this former relationship. Since this is an ex and not a husband, we pray you will not re-enter a courtship that is not clearly directed toward godly marriage to a fellow believer, and that you will guard against any fornication or emotional entanglement that would pull you back into sexual sin. If God is calling you to pray for him, continue to do so from a distance with purity and wisdom.

Concerning the estranged relationships you have tried to reconcile, we understand how difficult and painful this process has been. Scripture calls us to pursue peace. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, Romans 12:18. There are times when we are to go and be reconciled, Matthew 5:23-24, and there are also times when wisdom says to stop striving and entrust the person to God, especially if your reaching out is not received or is causing further harm. We pray for discernment for you, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. We pray that if God is indeed directing you to pause or to cease reaching out, you will have peace in obeying Him and will release these relationships into His hands, continuing to forgive as Christ forgave you, Colossians 3:13, without harboring bitterness.

We pray together now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy and power to be made known. We ask that You grant our dear one repentance and cleansing from all sexual addiction and from every fantasy and daydream that does not honor You. Wash this heart, create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within, Psalm 51:10, and teach this one to walk in purity and in the power of Your Holy Spirit. Set this soul free indeed, for if the Son therefore will make you free, you will be free indeed, John 8:36. We ask that You raise up true and faithful teachers in the African American community who will preach Your Word with boldness and love, that You would silence false teachers and remove wolves, and that You would heal the deep wounds caused by racism and hatred and be a shield of protection. We lift up this ex to You, Lord, ask for his salvation, for his physical healing according to Your will, for his deliverance from trauma and dysfunction, and for a divine awakening that turns him to Christ. Save his loved ones as well. And Father, give clear wisdom regarding these estranged relationships, open doors no man can shut and close doors that should remain closed, and grant peace to rest in Your direction. We entrust all of these things to You, believing that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

We are grateful you shared so openly with us. Carrying struggles with sexual addiction and daydreaming while also holding concern for your community, your ex, and strained relationships is a lot to hold at once, and we want you to know we are praying with you.

We hear that you want freedom in an area that has felt stuck, and that there are deeper reasons behind it. You do not have to walk through that alone. Alongside prayer, it can help to have one safe person to walk with you consistently, like a pastor or Christian counselor who understands these struggles and can offer ongoing support and accountability. If you do not already have that, we encourage you to reach out to someone you trust.

For the reconciliations you have pursued, it makes sense this has felt heavy. Sensing God may be asking you to pause reaching out is worth honoring. Stepping back is not failure, it can be a healthy boundary that gives space for God to work and for you to rest.

We are also lifting the other burdens you named, for truth and protection for the African American community, and for your ex and his loved ones, especially his serious health needs. We encourage him to stay connected to medical care for those health concerns as you pray for him.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. Bring healing, wisdom and steady hope, guard their heart and mind, and lead each of these relationships and concerns according to Your will. Give them peace as they trust You with what they cannot control. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you in prayer.

We join you in asking God for freedom from sexual addiction and from maladaptive daydreaming. The Scripture calls us to keep ourselves unspotted from the world and to cry to God to preserve us from evil. There is no good to be had from the spots of the world, and the only hope of life is to be parted from sin and to fight against it till it is utterly put away. We pray that the Lord will give you a deep hatred for sin and a deep love for purity, that He will keep your heart and mind and help you to turn away from whatever feeds temptation, and that you will find strength not in your own resolve but in Christ. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. Even a Word from His lips bears healing for the thousand ills of our humanity. We pray that you will know first forgiveness and then healing, for when sin is pardoned its power is broken, and the Lord who forgives is the Lord who heals the broken in heart.

We pray also as you have asked for the African American community, that God in His mercy would deliver His people from false teaching and from wolves who lead astray and do harm. We ask that He would raise up faithful teachers who preach Christ truly and lead souls to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. We pray that error would be exposed and removed, that the pure Water of Life would be given, and that those who hear would be heedful hearers who receive the truth even from the poorest vessel if it is from Christ. We also pray for healing and protection from the hatred and racism you have felt so keenly. The Lord sees every injustice and every wound, and we ask Him to be your shield and your comfort, to preserve your soul from all evil and to give peace where there has been pain.

For your former companion we pray as you have asked, not that God would bless any path outside His holy will, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, but that God would have mercy upon his soul. We pray for his salvation through faith in Christ alone, for his health in the midst of serious and life threatening illness, for his healing from trauma and for deliverance from dysfunctional and destructive patterns. We ask that the Lord would give him a clear awakening, that He would put His fear in his heart so that he would not depart from Him, and that he would be brought to repentance and to new life. We pray also for his loved ones, for their salvation and wellbeing, that God would draw each one to Himself.

Concerning the estranged relationships you have sought to reconcile, we pray for wisdom. There is a time to reach out and a time to be still, and we ask the Lord to show you whether to continue or to cease striving. If God is directing you to stop reaching out, may He give you peace in that restraint, guard your heart from bitterness, and entrust those persons to His care. May He help you to walk in charity and purity at once, loving others while keeping yourself unspotted.

We pray that the Lord who preserves His people from the pestilence that walks in darkness, from deceitful errors and sins, will preserve you in purity and uprightness and keep you from the devices of the evil one. May He lift you up as He takes you by the hand, forgive your sins, heal your wounds, and make you whole for His service. May every good and perfect gift come down to you from the Father of Lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

We will continue to remember you before the throne of grace, asking that you will know the pardoning hand of Christ and the healing that flows from it.

Your requests have been heard and I bring them before the Lord with you, asking for His mercy and help in each of these burdens.

I pray first for your own soul, that God would grant you true freedom. Scripture teaches that Christ has bought us with a price, and true freedom is not the ability to follow every desire, but freedom from sin itself. Holiness means being made pure and free from every kind of sin. I pray that God would give you strength to pursue virtue, to quench the passions that war against you, and to make your mind and body free through the power of the cross. May He deliver you from sexual addiction and from the habit of daydreaming that pulls you away from Him, and replace it with a love for what is pure and true. Ask Him to fill you with courage, to help you walk in purity, and to surround you with faithful help in the church, through the Word, prayer, and accountable fellowship, so that you may stand fast in the freedom Christ has secured for you.

I pray for the African American community as you asked. I ask that God would raise up faithful teachers who preach Christ alone as the way of salvation and who lead people according to the truth of Scripture, and that He would remove false teachers and wolves who lead people astray or cause harm, so they no longer have influence. I pray for healing and for protection from racism and hatred wherever it is found, and that God would guard hearts from bitterness while bringing justice and comfort, and above all that many would be drawn truly to Christ.

I pray for your former partner, that God would bring him to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, that he would come to know the Lord and be made new. I pray for his health in the midst of serious and life threatening illness, that God would be merciful to him, heal him according to His will, and deliver him from trauma and from patterns of behavior that are harmful and dysfunctional. I pray that God would give him a clear awakening to see his need for repentance and to turn from what harms him and others, and I pray also for his loved ones, for their salvation and wellbeing, that God would keep them and draw them to Himself.

I pray for you in the matter of estranged relationships. Reconciliation is difficult, and it is wise to seek the Lord's direction about when to continue and when to step back. I pray that God would give you clear wisdom and peace about no longer reaching out, if that is His leading, that He would guard your heart from guilt or anxiety, that He would heal what has been broken, and that He would help you to love others while entrusting them to His care. May He guide your steps and give you rest as you follow Him.

May the Lord make you steadfast, keep you in holiness, and show you daily that His grace is sufficient to set you free and to keep you.
