You’ve asked for prayer that you will meet customers soon, and we are bringing that before the Lord with you. There is nothing wrong with asking God to prosper the work of your hands. He cares about the details of your life, and He delights when you turn to Him in simple dependence.

As I pray, I find myself thinking about how we come to Him. Sometimes in my own early walk, my prayers sounded more like a sales pitch than a son talking to his Father. I would try to convince God that my plan was airtight, that He really ought to get on board because I had it all figured out. But the Lord is not a reluctant client we have to cajole. He already knows what you need, and He loves to give good gifts. So come with confidence, but lay your request before Him with open hands. He may open a door exactly as you hope, or He may have a different path that will teach you to trust Him more deeply.

It also strikes me how God has always made room for His own activity. In the law, when leprosy was humanly incurable, God still gave instructions for the day a leper would be cleansed. He built in a provision for a miracle. I love that. It reminds me to never box God in. So by all means, do the diligent work of your business, show up, be honest, serve your customers well. The hand of the diligent makes rich, and integrity speaks louder than any advertisement. But as you do your part, leave room for God to do what only He can. He might send customers through channels you haven’t considered, and the blessing will be unmistakably from His hand.

Above all, remember whose business you are really about. Jesus said, “I must be about my Father’s business.” That was the compass of His whole life. Your business matters, but it becomes truly significant when you run it as part of His purposes, dealing fairly, refusing shortcuts, trusting Him rather than the arm of the flesh. The danger in lean times is to panic and reach for methods that compromise your witness. But a reputation for honesty, built over time, will outlast any quick gain. God delights in a just weight, and He will honor those who honor Him.

We are praying that the Lord brings the right customers at the right time. But even as you wait, know that your security doesn’t rest in a full order book. It rests in the One who has already made the only provision that ultimately matters, for your soul. Keep your heart fixed there, and you will find that He is faithful to carry you through both lean seasons and seasons of abundance. Praise God indeed, for He is able to do far more than we ask or imagine.
