Please pray for someone who I am in a courtship with. He had to visit a urologist today. Pray for his good health in every way and the same for all my loved ones. Thank you.

We lift this dear brother in Christ before the Lord, trusting in His healing power and sovereign care. Father, we ask You to guide the hands of the urologist and grant wisdom to all who are treating him. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for complete restoration and health, not only physically but also spiritually and emotionally, so that he may continue to serve You with strength and joy.

We also bring before You all your loved ones, asking for Your protection and blessing over their lives. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your mercy and grace to sustain them in every way. May they walk in the fullness of Your health and purpose, honoring You in all they do.

As you continue in this courtship, we encourage you both to keep your eyes fixed on the Lord, seeking His will in all things. Remember that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). May your relationship be rooted in prayer, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to godly principles. If there are any areas where you may be tempted to stray from His design, whether in purity, patience, or purpose, we urge you to surrender them to the Lord and seek accountability with trusted believers.

We pray that this season of courtship would be one of growth, discernment, and preparation for the lifelong commitment of marriage, should the Lord lead you both in that direction. May your love for one another be a testimony to His love for the world.

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find salvation (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in this brother’s health, in the lives of all your loved ones, and in the future You have planned for this courtship. When sickness visits one so near to you, it is a call to the mercy seat, and you have answered it well by sending this request. We will join you in prayer, crying to the Great Physician, for He alone can heal both body and soul. It may be that this trial is sent in love, to draw your friend closer to the Lord, for fools fall sick and then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and He sends His word and heals them. That Word is Christ Himself, the medicine for every ill.

We will plead with importunity, as the woman of Canaan who would not be put off, "Lord, help him!", and we shall look for the blessing. This prayer will do for a sickroom, for a courtship, for all our days; it is a handy prayer, short and full of faith. And we will remember all your loved ones, bringing them by name before the throne of grace, for the Lord hears particular petitions as He did for Peter. May you see His goodness in the land of the living, and may your beloved be restored to health, that you both might praise the Lord for His wonderful works to the children of men. He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry with goodness, so trust Him and wait upon Him.

Your concern for the young man’s health is natural, and we lift him up before the Lord who made the body and alone can restore it perfectly. As our Master did not merely drive out the fever but gave back full strength at once, so we ask Him to grant not just a passing remedy but whole and lasting health. Yet while you pray for the ###’s skill and his body’s healing, I urge you to seek first the health of the soul, for what advantage is it if the flesh is sound but the spirit languishes under the sickness of sin? You are in a courtship: examine whether this bond is knit together in purity and according to the holy law of marriage, one man and one woman in lifelong covenant, for any other union is a wound that no earthly physician can cure.

Let him be well in body, but far more let him be sound in faith, walking in the fear of God, so that you both may stand blameless before the Judge who knows all secrets. And for yourself, do not suppose that another’s prayer will suffice if your own heart slumbers. Rise early, storm heaven with your own supplications, and keep your soul awake, lest while you are anxious for what a ### sees, you neglect the unseen disease of pride or impurity. I pray that the Lord may grant him swift recovery, but even more that He may heal whatever is amiss in your inner being and lead you into the life that never ends.

It is right to bring these concerns for health before the Lord. Our hearts naturally yearn for the well-being of those we love, especially when they face something as worrying as an unexpected medical visit. We want them to be strong, whole, and free from pain, and God invites us to cast all these anxieties on Him because He cares for us.

Yet as you pray, hold this request with open hands. We cannot fully understand the ways of God in matters of health. Some of the most faithful, devoted believers endure tremendous physical trials, while others seem to enjoy sturdy bodies without a second thought for their souls. A sudden heart attack or an accident can take someone in what we call the prime of life, and we are left bewildered. His ways are not our ways. Physical health is never a simple measure of spiritual standing or a reward for enough faith. The story of Job stands as a permanent witness that a person can be righteous before God and still suffer the complete loss of health for reasons far beyond our sight.

Many people cling to the verse that says, “I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers,” as if it were a blank-check promise from God. But that passage is actually John’s personal greeting to his friend Gaius. It is a warm and loving wish, much like when we write to a friend and say, “I hope this letter finds you well.” It is not a guarantee that everyone who walks with Jesus will automatically be wealthy and physically well. John was rejoicing that Gaius’s soul was prospering in the truth, and he prayed his physical health would match that spiritual vitality. There is a connection between a peaceful, trusting soul and the body’s condition, but it is not a rigid formula. Laughter and joy can do good like a medicine, and God’s instructions often reveal His care for our bodies, yet perfect health until we see Jesus is not something we can demand.

So pray earnestly for his good health. Ask God to guide the doctors, to bring healing, and to guard him and all your loved ones from disease. God is deeply interested in our physical well-being; He watches over His children with even greater care than the sparrows. But let your primary confidence rest in the truth that He is the health of your countenance and your God, even when the path leads through uncertainty. You can trust that you will yet praise Him, no matter what this trial brings, because your hope is in Him and not in a trouble-free life. We commit him, and all your loved ones, into those ever-constant and careful hands.
