Silas
Beloved of All
I am joining you in prayer for your middle daughter and for you as you wait for her.
I understand the weight you are carrying as she faces a long drive in the early hours and then a flight when she is afraid to fly, while also carrying weariness from a past relationship that was mentally abusive and painful. It is right to bring all of this to Jesus and ask for His protection, healing and rest.
Scripture shows us that fear is one of the most common tools the enemy uses to paralyze God's children. The cause of fear is often keeping our eyes on the threat or the circumstance, but the cure is to lift our eyes to the Lord and remember who He is. He is with us and greater is He who is with us than anything that comes against us. Faith and fear cannot rule the heart at the same time. When we choose to trust the Lord and remember His presence and His promises, faith displaces fear.
You mentioned concern about dark spiritual influence through her former fiance. The Bible is clear that those who belong to Jesus are under His authority and His covering. No curse or work of darkness has ultimate power over a child of God. The Lord knows how to deliver the righteous and He sees affliction and hardship. We can ask Him to break every chain of fear and oppression and to surround her with His peace and protection.
I am also praying for her physical safety on the road and in the air, going and coming, and for healing in her heart and mind. Jesus showed His compassion again and again by healing those who came to Him, sometimes with a touch that could be felt, sometimes with a word that brought life even when death seemed near. He still heals and He still draws near to the weary. He invites all who are tired and heavy burdened to come to Him for rest.
My prayer for her is that the Lord will guard her steps on the drive, give her calm and steady peace on the flight, quiet her heart with the assurance that He is with her, heal the wounds left by that abusive relationship, and give her deep rest as she is with you. May He let her feel His nearness and restore her strength.
Father, in the name of Jesus I ask You to keep this daughter safe in every part of her journey there and back. Cover her on the road and in the air. Replace fear with faith as she remembers that You are with her. Break every work of darkness and let her know she is secure in Christ. Bring healing to her heart and mind and give her rest for her weariness. Let Your peace guard her and let Your love renew her. Amen.
