Urgent

We have heard your urgent request and we are praying for you in this painful and sleepless season. To live with worsening lower back pain that keeps you awake at night, and now with numbness in your limbs, is a heavy burden, and we bring both your body and your heart before the Lord who sees and cares for all our suffering.

We are glad you are going to see a doctor again and we urge you to do so without delay. Numbness is a serious sign that needs prompt medical attention. We pray God will give your doctors wisdom to find the root cause, to see clearly what is happening in your body, and to guide you toward effective treatment and relief. Please follow their counsel closely and seek help quickly if the symptoms worsen.

You have also shared something deeper, that this pain began after a visit that brought a traumatic flashback, and that you have since cut off contact and are wondering whether you need to resolve the matter in order to heal. Scripture teaches that our health is not only of the body but also of the soul, and that when the soul is wounded we should not delay in seeking healing. As one of the homilies reminds us, when we have a bodily ailment we do everything to be rid of what pains us, but when our soul is troubled we often draw back, and then we neglect the fountain of our ills while trying to cleanse only the streams.

Another homily speaks of reconciliation and urges us not to let the sun go down upon our wrath, because in the solitude of night the wound can grow greater and the storm becomes stronger. Christ teaches that when there has been hurt, the one who was pained can go privately to the one who caused the pain and tell him his fault, not to accuse harshly but to make the matter known gently so that healing and peace might be possible. This is like a skilled physician who treats a wound quickly before it festers.

Whether a meeting would help bring healing in your case requires careful discernment. Cutting off contact after trauma can be understandable, and reconciliation does not always mean returning to the same closeness or placing yourself in harm again. If you do consider a meeting, seek wise counsel first from a trusted pastor or counselor and, if it proceeds, let it be in a safe setting with another mature person present, with clear boundaries and with the goal of speaking truth in gentleness and seeking peace before God.

We pray now for you, that the God of all comfort would help you. We ask our Father through Jesus Christ, who made peace through the blood of His cross and reconciled us to God, to grant you relief from pain, restore your sleep, remove the numbness, and heal the effects of trauma. We ask Him to show you the root cause of this suffering, to guide your doctors, and to give you wisdom about whether and how to have that meeting. May He guard your heart from lingering anger or fear, fill you with His peace, and lead you step by step toward wholeness in body and soul. We will continue to pray for your healing and for clear direction in the days ahead.

Your honest sharing about this painful season is received with care and prayer. The worsening back pain, the sleepless nights, and now the numbness in your limbs are serious burdens, and it is wise that you are going to see a doctor again. Please continue to seek prompt medical care and follow the doctor's guidance closely. God cares about your body as well as your heart, and He often brings help through the skill and wisdom He gives to physicians.

I also hear how this physical suffering began after a visit that brought a traumatic flashback, and how you have since set a boundary by ending contact. It is understandable to wonder whether you must have a meeting to resolve the matter in order to heal. When we are unsure what to do, especially when pain and past trauma are involved, we often carry needless weight by trying to figure it out alone. Scripture invites us to carry everything to God in prayer, and to wait and be still before Him to seek His wisdom rather than rushing to act.

God is able to heal without requiring you to put yourself in a harmful or unsafe position. Cutting off contact at times is a necessary and right boundary, and healing does not automatically depend on meeting again with the person involved. Whether a future meeting would help or harm is something to bring fully to the Lord, and to consider with wise, trusted counsel, with attention to safety and to what is truly restorative. The root cause you are praying about may involve both physical and deeper emotional wounds, and God sees and understands both. He invites you to bring the pain, the trauma, the sleeplessness, and the questions about what to do next to Him, trusting Him to show the next step.

I am praying for you now, that the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our Savior and our true source of healing and peace, would meet you in this need. I pray He would ease your pain and help you sleep, guide your doctors to find the cause and give effective treatment for the back pain and numbness, and bring healing to the deeper hurt that was stirred up. I pray He would give you clear wisdom about whether any meeting is wise or needed, and surround you with safe, godly support as you seek His direction. May He guard your heart and mind with His peace as you continue to look to Him and wait for His leading.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to bring before the Lord your situation with the severe lower back pain that has steadily worsened since Midsummer and kept you awake at night, and now the more serious symptom of numbness in your limbs as you prepare to see the doctor again. We also remember before the Lord the traumatic flashback that was triggered by that visit and the difficult decision to cut off contact, and the burden on your heart as you wonder whether to have a meeting to resolve the matter in order to heal.

We pray in Jesus Name for healing touch from the Lord on your body and for wisdom for the doctors to find and clearly address the root cause. We pray for relief from pain and for restful sleep at night, for restoration of feeling and strength in your limbs, and for peace over the trauma you have experienced. We ask God to grant you clear discernment and godly counsel about that meeting, that He would guard your heart and guide your steps according to His perfect will and protect you from further harm. We claim the promises that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3 and that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted in Psalm 34:18.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift you up before the Lord, especially for the severe lower back pain that began after Midsummer and has kept you awake at night, and for the more recent numbness in your limbs that led you to see a doctor again.

We have prayed that God would reveal and address the root cause of your pain, whether physical or connected to the traumatic flashback you experienced, and that He would grant wisdom and discernment to your doctors as they seek to help you. We have also prayed for the Lord to give you clear guidance and peace about whether to pursue a meeting to resolve the matter with that person, or whether continued distance is the wiser path for your healing. We ask that God would guard your heart and mind and grant you restful sleep and relief from pain, for His word says in Psalm 147:3 that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds and in Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

We pray in Jesus Name for your complete healing and restoration, for protection over your body and mind, and that the Lord would make His will for that relationship clearly known to you.

If your request was answered and you have experienced healing or improvement or received helpful answers from your doctor, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still struggling with pain, sleeplessness or numbness, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
