Beloved of All
2 out of 3 of my daughters are going through breakups that keep pulling them back. I think one was using spells. Please give clarity and keep their thoughts on you and keep them safe jesus

We are deeply grieved to hear of the pain your daughters are enduring through these breakups, especially as they feel pulled back into unhealthy cycles. The mention of spells is particularly concerning, for Scripture warns us in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, "There shall not be found with you anyone who... uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord." The enemy seeks to ensnare hearts through deception, and we must stand firm in the truth of God’s Word.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We rebuke any demonic influence or ungodly soul ties in Jesus’ name. These relationships must be surrendered completely to Christ, for He alone can break every chain. If either of your daughters has engaged in sexual immorality (fornication) with these men, we must also address this sin, for 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 declares, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

We pray fervently for your daughters’ hearts to be guarded and their minds renewed by the Holy Spirit. Philippians 4:6-7 exhorts us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, we ask that You flood their minds with Your truth, replacing every lie of the enemy with the assurance of Your love and purpose for their lives. May they find their identity in You alone, not in these broken relationships.

Father, we also pray for godly wisdom and discernment for your daughters. James 1:5 promises, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Give them the strength to walk away from these toxic cycles, trusting that You have a better plan for their futures. Surround them with godly counsel, friends, mentors, and church communities who will speak life and truth into their situations.

We declare over them the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." May they find hope in You, Lord, and may their hearts be healed from the pain of these breakups. We ask that You would reveal to them the men You have prepared as godly husbands, men who love You first and will cherish them as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25).

Lastly, we pray for you as their mother, that You would find strength and peace in the midst of this storm. Isaiah 41:10 encourages, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." May You feel the Lord’s presence surrounding You and Your daughters, guiding You all toward His perfect will.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear the worry in your words, and we’re standing with you. When breakups keep pulling your daughters back, it’s exhausting and confusing, for them and for you. You’ve asked for clarity and for their thoughts to rest on Jesus. That desire is itself a gift, a sign your love is anchored in the right place.

It can help to gently invite each daughter into a quiet conversation where you simply listen. Ask what they feel they most need right now: peace? direction? a way out of the cycle? Then offer to pray with them on the spot, not as a lecture, but as a mom sharing her own need for Christ. For the daughter you’re concerned may have turned to spells, approach her with care, not condemnation. You might say something like, “I love you, and I’m troubled by anything that might pull you from the Lord. Can we talk about what drew you in that direction, and how we can together turn back to Him?” Let her know you’re on her side.

Real spiritual protection isn’t found in formulas but in the person of Jesus. Ask your pastor or a trusted prayer team to cover your home in focused intercession. In the meantime, don’t carry this alone; pray through it with a friend or your spouse. God isn’t afraid of our messes, and He’s already at work.

Let’s pray:

Father, we lift up this mother and her daughters to You. Where there’s confusion, bring Your clarity. Where there’s a cycle pulling them back into harm, break it. Guard their minds, fill their thoughts with Your love, and keep them safe in Jesus. Draw them close to Him, and give this mom Your wisdom and steady hope. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You have cried unto the Lord in a time of deep distress, and He has heard the voice of your supplication. The entanglements of the heart are a snare, and the restlessness of your daughters’ affections reveal souls not yet anchored upon the Rock of Ages. The spells you speak of, if indeed they be of the darkness, are an abomination to Him whose name is Jealous. There is no safety, no light, and no true love apart from Jesus only. It is written, “You shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.” Not by charms or incantations, but by the blood of the Lamb are souls delivered. The enemy would draw them back, but Christ is able to keep them from falling. Cast no glance toward Moses or Elias, toward any remedy of the world or the flesh, but cry night and day, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy!”

Let the eye of faith be fixed upon Him who wept at the grave of Lazarus, for surely He enters into your motherly sorrow. Yet His tears were not without power; He is the Resurrection and the Life. Bid your daughters look to Jesus only, till they see no man but Him. One true look of faith, and the chains that bind them shall snap. The spells of a troubled heart find no foothold where Christ reigns. Let them run to His wounds for refuge, and the unholy tug of past affections shall lose its strength. Prayer is the cry, “Lord, that I might receive my sight”, and He stands still even now, ready to command, “Go your way; your faith has made you whole.”

You ask for clarity and for their thoughts to be stayed upon God. Then see to it, my sister, that you yourself are a true daughter of Sarah, doing well and not afraid with any amazement. A mother’s faith, calm and unwavering, is a shining lamp in the tempest. Be not terrified, for He who is able to present you faultless before His presence with exceeding joy is also able to keep your children. Their safety lies only in the Savior’s hand. Only those washed in the blood of Jesus are secure, and He bids them come. Plead the name that is above every name, plead Jesus only, and as surely as He found Philip, He will find them. The best day of their lives will be the day they truly live with Him and learn never to live without Him. May the Lord cause them to see Jesus, and in that sight let spells and heartbreak vanish like mist. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not turn to spells or any such darkness. The only power that can keep your daughters safe is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, who alone has immortality and dwells in light unapproachable. What fellowship has light with darkness? Cast those entanglements away, and let them call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved.

These trials, though bitter, bear a purpose. When the heart is pulled back again and again, it is like bearing about the dying of the Lord Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in their mortal flesh. Let them not despair. In every breaking and every sorrow, God is present, sanctifying those who are called to be saints. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead will raise up also those who cling to Him.

Turn their thoughts to Jesus by filling your home with prayer and the remembrance of His commandments. Read the gospels together. Speak of the hope that does not disappoint. A broken and contrite heart He will not despise. Do not be overly anxious about worthiness or signs; charity is shown most of all to those who stumble. Love them, weep with them, and lead them gently to the Great Physician. The Lord knows them that are His, and His grace is sufficient.

Above all, put away all envy and resentment that these breakups might stir, and pursue charity, the surest sign of Christ’s disciples. Even a little offering of patience and mercy given to your daughters in this storm will bring a great reward. Keep your own heart serene in God, for He is near. The day of the Lord will appear at a time we do not expect; therefore encourage one another daily, while it is called today, lest any be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Christ is our peace; let His word dwell richly in you, and He shall preserve you blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A father’s heart is heavy when his daughters are tangled in cycles that wound them, and the mention of spiritual manipulation only deepens that urgency. The real battle is not merely against the pull of a former relationship but against anything that clouds their minds and keeps them from seeing Jesus clearly. Pray that the fog of confusion breaks. When Jesus stood before those sent to arrest Him, He was clear about one thing: His own were to be let go. That same protective will still stands. Ask Him to shield your daughters with that very authority and sever any hold that is not of Him.

Clarity comes when we stop bargaining with what we know is death. A man once sat in a synagogue with a lifeless hand, and the command Jesus gave required his will to align with an impossible action. He could have presented his weaknesses, but instead he willed to obey. That is the moment where healing begins. Your daughters need that grace, the strength to act on what they know is right even when emotions roar against it. True freedom is not found in the back-and-forth of a broken union but in the decisive will to stretch out the withered part of our life to the Lord. It may feel impossible for them, but the command of Jesus carries its own enabling power.

There is a danger we must face honestly: a person can be attracted to Jesus, can even acclaim His power, and yet still refuse the full surrender of salvation. Multitudes followed Him for what they could get… healing, bread, spectacle… but He would not entrust Himself to those seeking Him with wrong motivations. Sometimes a relationship becomes a poor substitute for the devotion only God deserves, a cycle where affection is misplaced. It is a mercy when that false altar crumbles. Pray that your daughters would not just seek rescue from pain but that their hearts would long for Jesus Himself, the way a worshiper sits at His feet, choosing the better part. When He is the true beloved, the allure of a destructive loop loses its grip. Let their thoughts be fixed there, finding safety not just from a breakup but in a real encounter that makes His way their way.
