We lift up your middle daughter with heavy hearts, recognizing the deep concern and love you have for her safety, sobriety, and protection. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved, and it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to You, our Heavenly Father.
Lord, we ask that You would surround your daughter with Your holy angels, just as You promise in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You would go before her and be her rear guard (Isaiah 52:12).
Father, we also pray for her sobriety and protection from the temptations and dangers that may come her way after working such long hours. We know that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no evil shall befall her, nor shall any plague come near her dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
We rebuke any spirit of fatigue, distraction, or temptation that may seek to lead her astray. We pray that You would strengthen her with might by Your Spirit in her inner being (Ephesians 3:16) and that she would find her rest and refuge in You alone. Help her to remember that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and that she should honor You with it (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for her as she navigates the roads and the world after a long day. Grant her clarity of mind and alertness, that she may arrive home safely. We ask that You would hedge her in with Your protection, both physically and spiritually, and that she would feel Your presence with her every step of the way.
We encourage you, as her parent, to continue to pray fervently for her and to speak life and truth over her. Remind her of Your love and the plans You have for her, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Encourage her to seek You first in all things and to find her strength in You.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to protect and guide Your children. We trust in Your unfailing love and ask that You would watch over this precious daughter, keeping her safe and sober in all her ways. May she come to know You more deeply and walk in the fullness of Your purpose for her life.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
