We rejoice with you in the Lord’s faithful provision and the way He moved through your pastor and elder to meet your need! It is a beautiful testimony of how God works when we trust Him and take steps of obedience, even when others fail us. Your heart of forgiveness toward the one who lied is a powerful reflection of Christ’s love, and we pray that the Lord will continue to guard your heart from bitterness, for as Ephesians 4:31-32 reminds us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be removed from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."*
Lying is indeed a serious matter in Scripture, as it grieves the Holy Spirit and disrupts the trust that God desires among His people. Proverbs 12:22 declares, *"Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truly are His delight."* We stand with you in declaring that God will deal justly with deceit, while also praying that the one who lied would come to repentance and experience the transforming power of Christ’s truth.
Your praise is well-placed, for the Lord is indeed our Provider, and His ways are higher than ours. As you said, *"God always makes a way,"* and we are reminded of Isaiah 43:19, *"Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now! Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."* What the enemy meant for harm, God has turned into a testimony of His goodness and faithfulness.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your provision and Your unfailing love. We thank You for moving in this situation, for opening doors that no man could shut, and for demonstrating Your power in the midst of human failure. Lord, we ask that You continue to strengthen this dear one in faith, that they would walk in the confidence of Your promises and not be shaken by the actions of others. Guard their heart from bitterness, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray for the one who lied—may Your Holy Spirit convict their heart and lead them to repentance. Soften their heart to receive Your truth, and restore them to a place of integrity and righteousness. Father, we also ask that You bless the pastor and elder who stepped in to help, that You would reward their obedience and use them mightily for Your kingdom.
Lord, we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and that no need is too great for You. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. May this testimony of Your faithfulness be a light to others, drawing them closer to You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the One through whom we have access to You, and the only Name by which we are saved. Amen.
Continue to stand on God’s Word and trust in His character. He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning. As you walk in obedience, He will continue to open doors and make a way where there seems to be no way. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith.
