We are deeply moved by your urgent request and lift your mother before the Lord in this critical hour. The Scriptures remind us that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands. He is the God of miracles, who hears the cries of His people and acts on their behalf. In James 5:14-15, we are told, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your mother today, trusting in the Lord’s mercy and sovereignty.
Yet we also know that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Whether He chooses to heal her here on earth or call her home to be with Him, we pray for His will to be done—a will that is always good, even when we cannot fully understand it. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."*
We also encourage you to find strength in the Lord during this trial. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lean on Him, for He cares deeply for you and your mother. Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and support you in this time of need. Do not walk this path alone—God has given you the body of Christ to uplift you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting this precious mother to Your throne of grace. Lord Jesus, You are the Resurrection and the Life, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon her. Restore her body, renew her strength, and breathe life into every cell as only You can do. If it is Your will, raise her up in health and wholeness so that she may continue to glorify You and be a testimony of Your power.
But Father, we also submit to Your perfect will. If You choose to call her home, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to fill the hearts of her loved ones. Comfort them with the knowledge that she is in Your presence, free from pain and suffering, and that one day, all who believe in Jesus will be reunited with her in eternity.
Lord, we ask for Your strength to sustain this family. Give them wisdom as they make difficult decisions, and surround them with Your love and the support of Your people. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that You, Lord, are the God of hope, and we trust in Your unfailing love. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for God’s intervention. Please keep us updated so we can rejoice with you in His faithfulness. If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, now is the time to turn to Him. He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and it is only through faith in Him that we have hope—both in this life and the next. If you’d like to talk more about this, we are here for you. You are not alone.
