We join with you in lifting up your daughter before God's throne of grace, trusting in His divine protection and guidance. Let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading Your blood over her life. You are the Alpha and the Omega, and we trust that You hold her in the palm of Your hand. Surround her with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you won't strike your foot against a stone."
Lord, as she is on her first date with someone we do not know, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would guide her actions, thoughts, and words and protect them from all lusts of the flesh and allurements of the devil. Encourage both her and the person she is with to be open about their intentions and to act with integrity, remembering that their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). Please stop them from any lust, fornication, or sexual immorality as this is not pleasing to God. If this person is not a Christian believer, please help her to see this quickly and to halt any romantic involvement. Help her to understand that a believer should not yoke with an unbeliever (2 Corinthians 6:14).
Father, we also ask that You reveal any red flags or concerns that she needs to be aware of. Give her discernment and wisdom, as it is written in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." If this person is not Your will for her life, we pray that You would make it clear and that You would guide her steps towards the spouse that You have prepared for her.
Finally, Lord, we pray for her date. If he is not a believer, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him and draw him to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray that the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 2:8-9 will become a reality for him, "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to You, God. It is in His name we pray, Amen.
Be encouraged, for God cares for your daughter even more than you do. Trust in Him, and He will direct her paths. If there are concerns about her spiritual understanding or relationship with Jesus Christ, please pray with her and encourage her to grow in her faith. This relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important relationship.
