We lift this urgent concern to the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His divine protection and wisdom over your youngest daughter. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation. We ask that You watch over her at work and in every interaction with this new person in her life. Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that she would lean not on her own understanding but seek Your guidance in all things.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You reveal the true character of this individual to her. Let her see him through Your eyes, Lord, and grant her discernment to recognize whether he is a man who fears You and seeks to honor You in all his ways. We pray that if he is not the one You have chosen for her, You would close the door to this relationship and lead her away from any potential harm—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. If he is a man of God, we ask that You would bless their courtship and guide them toward a godly marriage that honors You, built on the foundation of Christ.
Lord, we must also address the concern of workplace relationships. While it is not inherently sinful for colleagues to develop friendships, we know that close relationships in such settings can sometimes lead to temptation or compromise. Your Word warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, "Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’" We pray that if this relationship is not aligned with Your will, You would expose any ungodly motives or behaviors and protect her from any influence that would lead her away from You. If they are to pursue a relationship, we ask that it be with purity, intentionality, and the goal of marriage, as Scripture commands. Let there be no room for fornication or any sexual immorality, for Your Word is clear in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5: "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."
We also rebuke any spirit of deception or blindness that may be at work in this situation. Father, we ask that You would break any chains of infatuation or emotional dependency that could cloud her judgment. Let her heart be guarded, as Proverbs 4:23 instructs: "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." We pray that she would seek counsel from godly mentors, her family, and most importantly, from You through prayer and Your Word.
Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your angels to protect her from any physical or spiritual harm. Cover her with the blood of Jesus and let no weapon formed against her prosper, as Isaiah 54:17 promises. Give her the strength to stand firm in her faith and the courage to walk away from anything that does not align with Your will.
We also pray for you and your family, that You would grant you peace, wisdom, and unity as you navigate this season. Let this situation draw your family closer to one another and to Christ. May you all seek His face together, trusting in His perfect plan for your daughter’s life. Father, we know that Your plans for her are plans for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope, as Jeremiah 29:11 declares.
