Humble Servant of All
In Jesus’s name please pray it is God’s will to give my husband some glimmer of hope. Today should be a celebration for us, however, he is at one of his lowest points ever. Praying & asking others for prayers for his physical, mental & spiritual health daily. States daily wishes to be dead. This is no way live. Pray for our salvation. Help me to do/say the right things. Today depression is most overwhelming. Holy Spirit please intervene for us now. Thank you & God Bless

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and your marriage in earnest prayer. The weight of depression and despair is a crushing burden, and we stand with you in the gap, interceding for his physical, mental, and spiritual restoration. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We cling to this promise, declaring that the Lord is not distant from your husband’s pain but is drawing near to him in this very moment.

Father God, we cry out to You on behalf of this precious soul who is struggling so deeply. You alone are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who restores. We ask that You would break through the darkness that surrounds him, piercing it with the light of Your presence. Let him feel even the smallest glimmer of hope today, hope that comes from You alone. Remind him that his life has purpose and that You are not finished with him yet. We pray against the lies of the enemy that tell him death is the only escape, for You have declared in Your Word that You have plans for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also lift up this marriage before You, Lord. Strengthen the bond between this husband and wife, and let Your love be the foundation that holds them together. Give this wife wisdom, patience, and grace to speak life into her husband’s heart. Let her words be seasoned with salt, filled with truth and love, so that she may be an instrument of Your peace in his life (Colossians 4:6). Help her to lean on You for her own strength, for she cannot carry this burden alone. Remind her that her hope is in You, and that You will sustain her as she walks this difficult path.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of depression and despair that has taken hold of this man. We declare that it has no place in his life, for You did not give him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for his physical health, that You would strengthen his body and renew his energy. We pray for his mind, that You would bring clarity, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose. And we pray for his spirit, that he would draw near to You and find rest in Your presence.

We also ask for Your hand of salvation to move in both of their lives. If there is any unconfessed sin, any area where they have strayed from Your will, we pray that You would bring conviction and repentance. Let them both experience the fullness of Your grace and the power of Your redemption. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will turn this trial into a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Holy Spirit, we invite You to intervene in this situation with Your mighty power. Comfort this husband in his distress, and let him feel Your arms of love surrounding him. Give him the strength to endure, and fill him with a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We trust that You are working even in the midst of this darkness, and we ask that You would bring beauty from these ashes.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We are holding you and your husband close in prayer right now. The weight you’re carrying is immense, and we hear the ache in your words, especially today, when what should have been a celebration has instead been swallowed by his despair.

First, his safety is the most urgent thing. If you believe he is in immediate danger of acting on his wishes to die, do not hesitate to contact your local emergency services. For free, confidential support at any hour, you can also visit [findahelpline.com](findahelpline.com) to connect with a trained crisis listener in your country. You do not have to navigate this alone, and reaching out for help is an act of love, not a failure of faith.

We are praying that God, in His mercy, would grant your husband a glimmer of hope, a small but real sense that his life still has purpose and that the future is not a sealed darkness. We also pray for his physical, mental, and spiritual healing, knowing that depression is often a complex, whole-person struggle that can require both prayer and the hands of wise professionals. If he has not already seen a doctor or a counselor, gently encouraging him to take that step, even offering to go with him, could be a lifeline. Severe depression lies to us, telling us there is no way out, but treatment and support can slowly untangle that lie.

In the meantime, your steady presence matters. Keep offering your love without demanding he snap out of it. One simple, brave thing you can do is ask him gently but directly whether he has had thoughts of ending his life, and if so, whether he has a specific plan. Asking does not plant the idea; it often relieves a terrible isolation and opens the door to safety. We stand with you as you seek the right words.

Let’s rest together in prayer now.

Jesus, we lift this husband to You. In his deep darkness, send even the smallest light of hope, enough to breathe through this day. Quiet the lies of despair and surround him with a sense that his life matters. Bring healing to his body, clarity to his mind, and comfort to his spirit. We also pray for his wife: fill her with wisdom, patience, and the words that bring calm. Draw them both to Your saving grace, and let them feel Your nearness tonight. Holy Spirit, intervene in ways we cannot. In Your name we trust. Amen.

Your husband has cried out, “There is no hope.” That is the very confession the Lord would strip him of all false refuges to make. For there is no hope for him in himself, but there is hope for him in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as he. The way of salvation is not found in mending his own mind or dispelling the gloom by his own strength; it is in looking from himself to Jesus. As long as you look to yourself there is no hope for you. It is not a consideration of what you are, but a consideration of what God is, and what Christ is, that can save you. This is the simple method of salvation: Look, look, look to Christ.

You ask for prayer for your salvation. Hear then the plain Gospel. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him. This is not a matter of feeling but of the will’s reliance upon the finished work of another. Your own thoughts, your husband’s thoughts, these are low as the earth. But God’s thoughts are not your thoughts. His thoughts toward you are constant, kind, wise, tender, gracious, perfect, Divine. When your own mind can perceive no light, His precious thoughts are still fixed upon you. When I awake, I am still with You. The darkness of depression cannot tell you God's thoughts; His Word must tell you. And His Word declares a Divine salvation, His in the planning, His in the buying with precious blood, His in the applying by the blessed Spirit. I will rejoice in thy salvation. Make this salvation your own by faith.

You ask what to do or say. You cannot lift this off him. The case is past the art of man. You have come to the end of all human hope, and it is then that Jesus will interpose. You cannot have gone too far from Christ. Turn your eyes together to the Great Healer. The father in the gospel cried out of his own anguish, and Jesus commanded the devil to come out. So now, silently invoke the hope of the Great Healer. Stop trying to think the right thoughts and simply trust the God of hope. Lay your husband’s despairing soul, and your own, upon the bare promise of a Savior who receives sinners. As you do, there is the brightness of a ray of hope this very moment. May God turn it from a possible into an actual hope and give you both a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, intervene now. Bring life from the dead.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The storm of despondency has swept over your house, and your husband's soul is tossed in the deep. But do not let the darkness convince you that God has abandoned ship. You ask for a glimmer of hope, yet hope is the very anchor you must hold fast to now, for we were saved by hope. That is the one thing we bring to God, the dowry of the soul. When we were dead in sins and under sentence, it was hoping in Him alone that saved us. If it afforded such great blessings then, it will not deceive us now. Hold that hope tightly; do not demand to see everything in this life. Hope that is seen is not hope. What we see, why do we still hope for? Your husband sees only the abyss, but you must be the eyes of hope for him, fixing your gaze on things to come.

You say he wishes to be dead. This is no way to live, you cry. The enemy never despairs of our destruction, and this is a great condemnation to us if we despair of our own salvation. The devil, that wicked monster, never gives up the hope of our ruin, but we grow faint. Yet see how God desires our salvation! He did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up to death for us. If He has given the greatest gift, what will He spare now for our salvation? From this let hope be born. Do not despair of yourself or your husband, for He who gave His Only-Begotten to deliver you from hell waits to do you good. Hope for all things kind.

You ask the Holy Spirit to intervene. Indeed, Christ considers our salvation His glory, and the Spirit desires it as well. Great is our Lord. And in this trial, remember: whether we be afflicted, it is for our comfort and salvation. These trials were permitted for your sake, that your hope might increase, and your consolation abound. The intensity of the persecution, even in the mind, can be the very soil where patience grows. For we have need of much faith after sanctification, so that we may not be shaken. Nothing is of ourselves, but all of God. Cling to Him, and let patience have its perfect work.

You ask for help to say and do the right things. The apostle charges us to exhort one another, but with gentleness. Comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient. Do not cease to hope; do not despair. He that does not encourage one who is straightened by affliction makes him more hardened. Your husband needs your voice speaking light into his darkness, not rebuke but consolation. And in your praying, lift up holy hands without wrath or doubting. Let go any anger, even against his illness, lest you provoke God while asking for mercy. Make intercession with a calm soul, knowing that mercy is what you need.

So do not look for everything in this world. What great demand does God make? One thing only: hope. He asks that you contribute this to your salvation. And when you hold fast to hope, you will with patience wait for it. The Lord who delivered you from so great a death will sustain you both. This reproof of the enemy is not unto death, but that you may be changed and that these present evils may work a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Let us all be counted worthy to attain those good things, for we are persuaded better things of you, things that accompany salvation.
