Urgent prayers needed for my friend here.
We lift up your friend and her daughter before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign power and mercy to bring healing and comfort. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in this request, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture reminds us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We are grateful you have acknowledged this truth, for faith in Jesus is the foundation of all our prayers.
We pray earnestly for your friend’s full and swift recovery from surgery, asking the Great Physician to restore her strength and health. May the Lord’s healing hand be upon her, knitting her body together with divine precision, just as the psalmist declares, *"Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there isn’t a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether... For I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well"* (Psalm 139:1-4, 14, WEB). May she feel His presence deeply during this time, knowing she is fearfully and wonderfully made by His hands.
For her daughter, who is understandably upset, we ask the Lord to wrap her in His peace that surpasses all understanding. Anxiety and fear can easily take root in moments like these, but we pray she will cast her cares upon the Lord, for *"he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). May she find comfort in the promise that *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). We ask that the Holy Spirit would minister to her heart, replacing her distress with a deep assurance of God’s love and sovereignty over every detail of this situation.
We also encourage you to continue standing in faith with them, reminding them of God’s faithfulness. Share with them the words of Isaiah 41:10 (WEB): *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let them know that even in this trial, God is working all things together for good, as He promises in Romans 8:28 (WEB): *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."*
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask that You would glorify Yourself through this situation, bringing healing to the body and peace to the heart. Let this be a testimony of Your goodness and power, drawing both your friend and her daughter closer to You. May they experience Your presence in a profound way and emerge from this trial with strengthened faith. We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
