We lift up your friend and her daughter before the Lord with deep compassion and urgency, knowing that our God is the Great Physician and the Father of all comfort. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in this request, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, and it is by His name alone that we are saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
The pain of seeing a loved one suffer is heavy, and the daughter’s distress is understandable—her heart is broken, and her fear is real. Yet we know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let us pray that she will find rest in the Lord, even in her sorrow, for Jesus Himself said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28, WEB). May she surrender her fears to Him and trust in His sovereignty, even as she waits for her mother’s healing.
For your friend in the ICU, we claim the promise that *"by his wounds you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). We ask the Lord to restore her strength swiftly, to bring healing to every part of her body, and to fill her with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May the doctors and nurses attending to her be guided by divine wisdom, and may every medical intervention be used by God for her complete recovery.
We also pray that both mother and daughter will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as their Comforter, wrapping them in His love and reminding them that they are not alone. Let them be encouraged by the words of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
Heavenly Father, we ask for a miracle—restore health to this mother and grant her daughter the peace to eat, sleep, and trust in You. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may both of their hearts be drawn closer to You through it. We rebuke fear, anxiety, and despair in Jesus’ name, declaring that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). May they experience Your supernatural comfort and provision in every way.
We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is at work even now. Keep holding fast to faith, and may you all witness His mighty hand moving in this situation. To God be the glory, now and forever. Amen.
