We want to thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for sharing the deep burden you carry for your precious cat. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer during such a painful and overwhelming time.
We have continued to lift up your beloved companion before the Lord, asking that God in His mercy would bring complete healing and a full recovery from the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs. We have prayed that He would ease and take away any pain or discomfort she is feeling, that He would help her to eat normal food and drink water again, to have regular bowel movements, and to breathe easily. We have asked the Lord to touch her lungs and restore her ability to purr and to receive affection without coughing, and to lift the sadness you see when she wants to cuddle but then pulls away to lay alone. We remember how you shared that she was the most affectionate cat you have ever known and how heartbreaking this change has been.
We have also prayed for you, that God would guide your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give her four pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day, and the subcutaneous fluids each week, and that He would help you without causing her distress or pain. We have asked for His clear guidance in every decision you must make regarding her care. We have prayed that when her time comes, the Lord would show her mercy and that if it is His will, He would take her peacefully in her sleep at home, surrounded by love, and that He would provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to your house if that difficult step is needed, so she does not have to endure fear and distress in a place that terrifies her. We know she is not just a cat to you but your world, and we know the Lord sees and cares for every creature He has made, for His word says the righteous care for the needs of their animals in Proverbs 12:10 and that not one sparrow falls outside the Father's care in Matthew 10:29.
